  1. Yes please, I'll take an Ai Frog, but a full module would be even better!
  2. Good day Eagle Dynamics, I propose that you allow Custom Airbase content to be created on an individual basis similar to how ORBX and many other professional and hobby developers do. It would be nice to have a way to install a full airbase as a complete module, not just a template that must be loaded in the mission editor. A couple tool additions to the mission editor could make this a reality. - Save As Tool After someone builds a custom airport or airbase, instead of saving it as a template, give us a SAVE AS tool. Something that will compile the custom library, add a Thumbnail and description, and then make it installable as an actual airbase that would show up as a module in the module manager. Essentially a Custom scenery builder for the masses. I think this would really open up DCS in the way that MSFS and X-plane have created a huge market. Allow custom user airbase content, and purchasable Professionally created individual Airport and airbase DLC's. Sincerely, Preston Martin
  3. The mod is basically just a nose graft for the existing Harrier. Not a completely new model as would be needed for the Original airframe variants. Not ideal, but better than nothing at all I guess. -Woog
  4. My Dad served on USS Brewton FF-1086 in the late 70's stationed at Pearl. Excited to see them come to DCS.
  5. Is that a Knox class, hell yeah! I’ve been hoping for one of these for a long time. She looks good!
  6. Just a quick update, I am having continued difficulty getting the colors right for the Euro 1 birds. I will not release a livery if it is not right. Still working though. -Woog
  7. Functionally the Charlie you own is an arcade game. It would be relatively easy for ED to do a cockpit reskin of the existing model, and remove the weapons configuration display that has no real functionality in the sim anyway. The the other item is that the "A" never carried AAMRAMS. ED could very easily keep the FC Charlie around for YOU, while only selling an A model in the future iterations of Flaming Cliffs. From a marketing standpoint, my idea makes a lot of sense, as new players could dip their toes into the game with these "Easy Mode" early models of these aircraft. Aircraft that really did have less capability. As they get better, and crave more of a challenge, that's when they step up to the fully fledged "Study Level" F-15C. Its a way to more clearly differentiate what the customer is buying, and create a desire to upgrade later. Otherwise why buy the study level F-15C when I can buy a cheap F-15C and still kick ass on the Multiplayer servers?
  8. Late reply as I already fixed the problem. But it was not black. It was super dark. If you ACTUALLY look you can see my camo pattern. I have been doing Liveries for nearly 2 decades now, I am not a novice. When DCS doesn't recognize the file, it DOES NOT come out black, it comes out in a Pixelated Camo color. Also, 4096x4096 doesn't mean anything. Don't give that advice out, it is misleading. 1024x1024 works, so does 2048x2048, as does 4096x4096, and even 8192x8192. Thank for trying to help though.
  9. Dear Ugra @MAESTR0 Now that I’ve had a few days to go over the Germany map for DCS, it is done very well and dare I say probably the best map to release for DCS to date. It is absolutely a solid foundation for many years of fun adventures to come. I can't wait to see what kind of official campaigns come from this. With that said, I do have some constructive criticisms. The airbases all look the same and have very little character. The overuse the same generic hangars and buildings over and over is disappointing. I hope that future updates may bring a little more life to the individual characteristics of each base. Also, brought up a many times now here, the brown patches in the grass at EVERY airfield are overly exagerated. I get the vibe that UGRA media went for a late 1970’s timeframe. The color scheme they used for the NATO bases give a run down rusty vibe, which works for the Eastern Bloc bases, but not NATO. Generally speaking, US Facilities but more than likely all NATO associated facilities have pretty well kept grounds. Missing patches of grass happen, but not very often. We mow our grass, and most bases would be considered "Well Kept Garden" like. My suggestion would be to all but remove the brown patches from the airbases of the West Germany side of the map. Doing this would give us the immediate recognition of which side we are on. Similarly to how film directors use subtle light and color pallets to differentiate scenes for movie goers. As far as the Buildings and Hangars go, I recognize that compromises have to be made to optimize the gameplay and keep download sizes reasonable. One thing that could help is to close up some of the Hangars and Hass Shelters. If you get rid of some of the interiors of these buildings, then that gives a little more head room for custom details at a few choice bases. A couple examples that I explored are Bitburg Airbase, and Giebelstadt Army Air Field. Bitburg Wishlist: Personally, I would prefer to see the base with the Tan and Brown painted buildings, The HAS Shelters in the Green scheme. Minimize the brown missing grass patches. Add a custom Roether Memorial Alert shelter, add the missing weapons bunkers For Giebelstadt AAF, Generic Hangars are re-used here again, and this is an acceptable compromise (even though the real live Hangars would bring so much Character to the base). Unfortunately, the use of large light poles everywhere is not conducive to helicopter operations. Also in your rendition there are a few prominent trees in the midfield that were never there real world. Wishlist: is to "Green up the brown patches in the grass once again, Remove the light poles, and remove the trees. Every picture I have found of the hangars had the doors closed. I know its a ton of work, but with the removal of the extra polygons for the Tree and Light poles, in combination with more simple closed up custom hangars could potentially yield no frame loss, and potentially not much more hard drive space. See Below for examples of Giebelstadt. To wrap up this lengthy post. Thank you UGRA. You have done an outstanding job, and I look forward to all that you will give to us in the future. I Know that every base can't be a custom masterpiece, its just not feasible. Maybe something like picking the top 5 most well known and documented airbases, and detailing them out with more custom buildings as "Flagship" fields could be the answer. Or instead of top 5, maybe the bases that align best with the actual DCS Aircraft IE: the New Eagle Dynamics F-15C main home will be Bitburg, Hahn for the F-16, or a Belgian F-16 base maybe, ETC. Thank you for this amazing WIP map. -Preston

    Castles

There are probably some already, but please include some more in the south like Neuschwanstein and Hohenzollern Castle.
  11. Absolutely Tengah. I am working on fine tuning the colors right now. The paint kit has a funky colorspace, so sample colors do not translate correctly. I'll be doing standard Sembach airframes, followed by some George AFB birds. I also have my own rendition of Some Bitburg, Keflavik, and Kadena Ghost scheme Eagles in work. Can never have too many you know? In all honesty the Eagles are pretty much ready for release. -Woog
  12. I use the intel texture works .dds pluggin. Maybe I should try the Nvidia pluggin. Update: Thank you Morpheus. Nvidia fixed the problem. Euro 1 paints on the way!
  13. Livery collab request. I’m in the process of doing a euro 1 livery for the Bronco, but when I export as a .DDS out of Photoshop, it comes out super dark for some reason? For any of you who have already done bronco skins, could I get some assistance as to why this is happening? I’m not sure what setting is causing this. Once I figure this out, then I can pump out a bunch of euro Broncos, followed by the 3 shade Marine Corps scheme.
  14. Technically its IndiaFoxtEcho doing the F-16A for MSFS, Heatblur 3d Scanned a Euro bird to make the 3d model for them. Both studios are developers for DCS, so that could work in our favor. I can't see ED authorizing a competing F-16 for DCS, however Heatblur selling them an f-16A 3d model is not beyond the realm of possibility. Even less work for ED to make it happen.
  15. Good day friends, This proposal is aimed square at Eagle Dynamics, and the producers that Turn ideas into solid plans. There is a coincidental phenomenon with a few of ED's fully fledged study level aircraft. A-10C, F-16C, F/A-18C, and soon the F-15C. In Flaming Cliffs we have the A-10A, and currently the Old version of the F-15C. I propose that ED turns the Flaming Cliffs F-15C into an F-15A, upon release of the full fidelity F-15C. Functionally, it doesn't need to change at all. The 3d cockpit would need a little remodeling, but the exterior model could virtually stay untouched. Just remove that little sensor on top of the nose. That's part one of my proposal. The 2nd part of my proposal plays into this A and C duality. With the soon to be released Cold War Germany map creating the most Buzz for DCS in a long time, I propose a Flaming Cliffs level F-16A and an F/A-18A. IE: Flaming Cliffs 2026. Most of the European F-16 operators purchased A models. It might be a small detail to some, but to many there is a significant desire to have a small mouth P&W powered skinny tailed -16. This would also give ED an opportunity to bring the existing F-16Ai fleet up to the sims current standards. Similarly, we have an old F/A-18A Ai model that is in need of a refresh. Having it in the sim is important to early 1980's operations (similarly to the F-16A) and good majority of the sales outside the U.S. were in fact A models. Both of these airframes had significantly less capability in the early days which meshes well with a Flaming Cliffs style of game play. With all of this said, the first replies to my post, are going to be "I'd much rather ED spent their time and resources modeling...... XXXX" This proposal is also kind of along the same lines as the cancelled? Modern Air Combat title. A better variety of entry level aircraft that would slot into the existing sim and play nice, but not have anywhere near the capability of the full fidelity upgraded modules. Just some food for thought. -Woog PS, while were at it, turn the Flaming Cliffs F-5E into an F-5A
  16. @Maestro The static aircraft that you use in your scenery look very good. Even better than the civil aircraft mod that we’ve had available for many years. I hope you please consider adding these as a functional AI assets pack. Having these as an official part of the game would make for some very strong mission options for our campaigns. -Woog
  17. These BT liveries look very nice please do release them. I especially like that you got the color stencils in for the early Ghost scheme. Great job!
  18. Now it is certain that we need some new Ai modules or explosive static aircraft for this amazing map. Ugra please consider creating these two aircraft to help bring the Cold War vibe to life. -Woog
  19. I have started this paint this morning
  20. The reason they are private, is they are typically conversions of Payware from other sims, and they do not have permission from the originally developer to distribute the the Mod. That -46 looks like the Capt Sim model to me. It has a beautiful exterior model, with a standard 767 Cockpit unfortunately. -Woog
  21. Looks like the link needs to be updated again. Mediafire says "Looks like something is missing" I would really like to do some C-47 Paints. Thank You - Woog
  22. @KrazyPilot I think you’re right about the two teams merging into one, here is the third team that I spoke of: https://discord.gg/2HvvMxXm Doing the Spark ‘Vark. -P
  23. There are multiple F-111’s in work by 3 different teams right now. I don’t think we need a 4th. -Woog
  24. The new template gives us all the Roughmets and all we need to make it happen, except having a lua file example and the arg’s needed to switch on/off the various antenna configurations that ED were so kind to give us. Wish they would do the same for the Hornet and the Viper. Maybe @Eagle Dynamics you could at least provide a “read me” file with an example lua text so we could actually use the template? -Woog
