  1. Shitload of things can explain this. -Death on Ground count in system, not in BF -Rescue can bring back lifes (RED for is really active in that sector) -Mi-8 doesn't lose life (not in SOP, btw) -In some condition (engine running), leaving your plane at base make you go boom, which is a death in DCS, not in BF. EDIT : screenshot from blueflag ouverture tacview. :music_whistling:
  2. I fail to see what this screenshot has to do with life count. Have you guys even read the SOP before start throwing accusations on day one?
  3. EWR still not working. 2 A10C over beslan. I know they are here because i perfectly see their missile, but they are still undetectable, with 3 EWR station in the place. How about just removing them to reduce server load ?
  4. Talking about Typo.... Why is it called "blue"flag to begin with ? :D That's unfair for the poor Su-27 with their poor R-27T ... :D :D :D
  5. Unsure you really need to put it tactically. You are just dealing with a troll here. :P
  6. Come on, you really need to fly into the R27T for it to hit. Sukkhois have advantage... But F-15 has some too. You have a way better radar and AIM-7 is just the deadliest missile of the game after the R3-R. Both planes are Equivalent, It will comes down to you using your advantages, or just defending against the ennemi advantage. In the same spirit than yours, I could just ask that you doesn't even get your Sparrow because it's unfair to the mig-21 ?
  7. Forwarded on my facebook page. I wish you the best, greetings from France! Pierre.
  8. Yesterday evening, lot of trouble with EWR. They were unable to keep track of fighters, even within 20km and high alt. Every contact were sporadically blinking
  9. I'm wondering - For stability reason, have you considered expanding the "save" feature to all spawned ground units and airfield status, then just reduce mission to 2h or 2.5h ? That would allow more "long term" plannification such as SAM staying live for a whole day (but also require redeployment).
  10. I agree with Deadbeef. When you fly cargo, most of the fun is in the Mi-8 quite extensive startup, cargo pickup, and navigation. Picking cargo at rest, with an already started up helicopter, with a F10 map, is just completely wrong for heli ops. :( I'd rather get back to Train Simulator. :shifty:
  11. That's rewarding side that put effort into building those SAM networks. It takes time, and it also require planning, as you need to watch for server restart and manage your gametime accordingly. They is a SAM limit now btw. When we were attacking, lack of heli at airfield had us flying 1hour just to come to the area of operation ! In the meantime, it take less time and effort to just fly a Su-25T and shoot them from standoff. Just pick a less defended target or find friends who fly Su-25T. :D I still agree with unlimited heli tho - already mentionned that somewhere, greg got the message ;)
  12. That's fine, that's why test are for. :) Just trying to provide as much info so you may find something in logs.
  13. Experienced trouble with CSAR yesterday evening. You shutdown'ed the server to install improvements. 10 min before that happen, the CSAR script stopped working after I picked up someone. I was flying an Mi-8 from Sukhumi-Kutaisi FARP. The mission was running for like 20/30min. Hope it helps tracking that down.
  14. Beslan-Tbsili is messy. I die on half of my startup because of hot start. Plane is already damaged when i reach cockpit. I die on half of my startup because aircraft just explode immediately without warning (looks like it spawn in the ground) I know you don't want rampstarts, but at least have a look into the random explosion issue. When you select the slot, you just go BOOM. We lost the farp because I was unable to get in the air. Also, Unlimited heli is great in such case, but i just figured out it allows you to spam helis at incoming ennemi helis. If they weren't those two issue, no way they would have landed their Mi-8 :D
  15. They are more advanced things you can do with the TPM with the saitek thing, such mapping switches per position.
  16. No i get it but i'm afraid that people motivated flying the Mi-8 won't have any available because people without life will operate them : They are only 2 Mi-8 and 2 Huey available when you attack, that's not a lot.
  17. I'm not supporting early access anymore. Quality goes lower and lower, so i'm not going to support a practice that undermine DCS. I keep an eye on the products and make the purchase when it reach "real beta", but i'm definitively not going to buy anything which marketing is only tacview tracks. :P Only exception being ED that has all my thrust.
  18. Hi ColGray, You may want to check those guys. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130892 Greetings Wolf.
  19. Thanks for your sarcasm, it justify even more my argument ;)
  20. I am afraid that system may cause helicopter shortage. They are only a handfull of heli available at FARP. More than that, how about having "plane points ?" The current system is pretty much useless with 7 lifes (except if you are really that bad). Getting 4 lifes will get it better but i think they is a real gameplay experience to explore here. Heavy fighters : F-15/Su 27 : 4 points (maybe 3?) Modern Strikers : Su-25T/A-10C : 3 points Interceptors : Mig-29/21 & Mirage 2000C : 2 points Cheap strikers : Ka-50/Su-25A/A-10A : 2 points Helis and Trainers : 1 points. Starting with something like 12 points makes you playing a nearly unlimited helicopter, or at least 3/4 heavy fighter planes. Or you can play it savy and fly Mig-21/29, you have less missiles under your wing, but you have more of them (like IRL) This would reflect the value of the plane, and makes mig21/mirage victory over superiority fighters not only an accomplishment, but a realistic impact. Of course, getting saved returns the points.
  21. A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT REALISM Last campaign saw blue losing 694 planes. That is "SPAMMING". realistically, not even a hundred of planes would be allocated to a georgian sized theater field. That's a quarter of what NATO deployed in entire gulf war (support asset included), and even more than the iraki forces had. Realistically, for a Georgian size theater, you should have less plane and face more SAM. :P Also, realism allows SA-6 to drive around, and not require heli drop. To avoid SA-6 spawning, we may just need a cool down at spawn crates, like not being able to spawn more than 1 radar/30min. If quantity limitation arises, then I want plane restriction as well :P edit : 3 crates / Kub battery may cause trouble as they isn't much heli on FARP. ;)
  22. Closing time must be relevant with flight time as well. Closing something 5-10min isn't much, whereas strikers or helos faces 20 to 60min flight time...
  23. I capped Sukhumi and Sukhumi AFB in less than one hour - We were only a couple of planes and my heli. Coordination is a requirement, and it is more than simply saying "let's attack this place".
  24. Inertia may also help a lot. On top of low drag, that's a quite heavy missile.
