Well anyway...They aren't enought helo neither helo pilot to sustain airfield without automated repairs.... I'm wondering if they could be some kind of warmup time for vehicles, like they stay inactive a couple of minutes, or the repair message gets shown a couple of minutes prior to spawning so strikers aren't falling into the trap ? Managing CAS to rotate usually helps.

We tested night & storm setting, that was nice ! Very challenging, especially the wind, but that breaks the routine and get even more rewarding.

Even Delta force 1 would be more interresting. Just to recall, maps are really great looking from the sky but down in the field, they is less cover & features than in Doom 1. I wouldn't even consider serious tank gameplay in it.

Pour avoir testé *beaucoup* de matos.... Evite les joysticks Logitech. en 15 ans, j'en ai flingué 4. (G940 et extrem pros). Par contre, leur clavier serie G sont juste super. T16000m si t'es short en argent HOTAS si t'as de l'argent. Les saiteks sont pas mal, mais en chute libre. Plus les années vont, plus la fiabilité tombe. Autant mon X45 m'à fait des années, autant tout les gens que je connait qui sont passé sur les X52 et autres ont eu des problèmes assez rapidement. Saitek sortait des super trucs il y a quinze ans, mais apparement la boite à changé son fusil d'épaule.... :/ Grosso modo : Thrustmaster - Top sur l'entrée et le haut de gamme. Une longueur d'avance grace à leur technologie à effect hall Saitek* - Cavale seul sur le matos moyenne gamme, mais Fiabilité douteuse. Logitech - Préçis mais c'est du périssable :( *Par contre la ligne pro flight de Saitek est sympa, mais c'est des produits type aviation civile (yoke, radios... )

DCS is obviously not a 1:1 reproduction of environment. Even if FM and missile were an exact reproduction, they is still plenty of things that are different. Just think like real pilot and you'll live. Real pilots tactics are based on their environnement. Base your tactics on your environnement. You'll see that it can be actually very nice to analyse flights and fight, and then devellop strategy and counters for specific situations. for anyone that is in strategy game, that is a fun part in the game. DCS world environnement has been more severely impacted by Mig-21 than any missile update, and watching every tacview i have, I've seen both F-15 and mig-21 usual tactics evolving over the months......

Hummmm a part le saitek, j ai rien qui me viens a l esprit a - 100e, ayant pourtant pas mal zoné dans les shops.... faut voir l ocasse.

Just right now, server simultaneously crashed several players out of the game. It report dx11backend.dll however since squadron mates had the same at the very same second, we suspect something on server end. I'm not complaining, just reporting so you can check your logs. We had a great day today and thank you for the server :)

DCS has quite a lot of skilled players, but most of them are always ready to share knowledge. Don't be shy, its a great community. :)

I also died a lot because heli was simply exploding at start or spawning on the edge of the FARP, falling into grass. :P If you have tacview, that was 20min ago.

Why rampstarted helis ? When you don't have a good computer, that's an insta crash because your heli will fly even before you are in the cockpit :/ and rampstarting is still part of the pleasure! 6/7 helis lost because the heli was spawning randomly in the FARP, but not on the H. Slot also bugged and was exploding at start.

When i'm shot down, i'm doing GCI until the next squadron takeoff. Unfortunately, most people have the message windows closed :/ A couple of notes for the admins : 1/ Clouds : They aren't broadcasted online. It can mess up a dogfight when you don't have cloud at the same position than your target. In MP, it's either overcast or full clear. Single clouds are random on client side. 1.5/ Weather Can we get some night and poor weather missions ? 2/ I noticed some strange behavior with maps and FARP. Captured FARP would show random color. When I press F10, sometimes they are blue, sometimes they are red....

Yesterday I flew Su-25T again, and noticed that the mistake between the mode seems fixed. However, it still feature a 7 degrees difference so i'm suspecting one of the mode doesn't take magnetic drift into account.

I fail to see why you guys are comparing individual planes. That just doesn't happen outside of DCS. Did you saw any war with individual planes meeting at point X and dueling like medieval tournament ? This thread and the whole article down there is just ridiculous. One country has waged war for most of his small existence, and therefore develloped a modern and efficient air force. Any comparison lower to theater level is useless.

Free FC cessna/tucano as a trainer. Would be a blast for new player introduction.

Helios. But you'll have to do a faif share of lua code to make it happen as helios does not natively support fw.

.....or not. I never regretted a single cent of my P-51 purchase, and even the FW190 that I have flew a couple of time out of curiosity, I don't regret the purchase. .... and i'm not rich, I'm nearly on the streets.

That's quite a late call. I forwarded it around. Maybe you could just give a call there and see where this one is heading in case noone make it in time, or maybe they would allow someone take a picture during disassembly.

When i see people raising the terminology and say "I want only COMBAT stuff", i laugh a lot thinking that a lot of combat plane ever built actually never saw combat. Lets just cancel F5-E and remove ka-50 then :P i wonder if usa ever used their f14 in the gulf war too. Lets cancel that one :P

At very low level, MANPAD don't shoot you. Needs to be VERY low tho. Good idea, let us know when you start :D

Well, it could be investigated, however I also fell that Mig-21 gear is weak. I have no issue with any plane, in every simulator. Mig-21 is the plane i flew the most in 2015, I still have issue with it. However, Leatherneck can't obviously rely on simple feeling, unless we show up with true charts, they isn't much they can do. Let's start reviewing gear damage cause.
