They really deserved the Cup. They were the only team with great players, and great teamplay. Other teams had either Teamplay, either great player, but not both at the same time. Yet - I still wonder how brazil got so far in the cup. :P

Yup damage model is wrong : i fall whatever caliber is fired at me. 12.7mm, 27mm, 9mm.... even when i m not fired at, i fall from the sky. Er......wait...could it be my lack of skill ? :P

In my opinion, the key element that DCS miss is a Armed Assault style GUI integration for mission designer. In that game, anyone with some scripting knowledge can create an in-game GUI which can be used for various things. This would unlock a lot of things editor-wise

Well, both are great simulators with their pros and cons - You may want to stay on that note and don't compare too much - moderators never sleeps :P

Rain is useless anyway : we don't have proper rain effect that affect visibility in DCS yet. Just the background rain/snow effect that doesn't change gameplay at all.

You must see CA as a strategic interface within DCS with integrated JTAC capability. consider driving stuff around is just an option and not the main "feature" of the product. I appreciate CA this way. Quite frankly, the control system just sucks. FCS is a welcome addition but stays ages behind what would qualify as decent. They is no IR sight. They is no decent ground troops system (imho - should really inspirate from Combat Mission, versus having infantry as single entity).... But keeping in mind this is more a strategic system than a vehicle simulation make the pain less harder :)

Those are two great sticks. I used to have a G940, then moved to the Warthog. I do miss the Force Feedback Effect. However, when i fly with my cats on my knees, it replace it perfectly :) - My friend who purchased the G940 from me, had reliability issue with it afterward. I would suggest the Warthog over the G940. The stick don't move, but the stick full metal. It's something when you have it in the hand. You can fly the warthog with the G940, but not as smoothly than the warthog. It is also possible to put it easily between your leg, either by extending the stick, or extending the grip base. (I used PVC pipe with quick disconnect system). Either way you choose, you'll have good time.

Well, nothing prevented them to jump in and say "sorry fellas, we have not much to say". Some people will always feel the need to advocate things/people they don't understand anything about. Simple fact is : It is Thursday, they did not communicated. It is not a matter of being entitled to claim an update, it is a matter of a company not holding its word. It is damaging them, little part by little part. That is not surprising but it's sad, because i'm following their facebook page and they are very responsive and involved in FSX community (for example, helping other company with 3d models). From what i saw/heard about them, they are great folks and they have the potential of doing great things around.

Remember that it is not only a matter of quality, but a matter of quantity too. You can do battle against F15/F16 too, just add more Migs in the air. :) In MP, the few first day we will have massive fire all around the airport due to missed take-off/landing. After a few days, everyone will be flying the Mig21, so only a few (uninterrested-by-mig21) F15 drivers against them, So they'll be a LOT of burning F15. After a few time, it will even a little more and mig 21 will fall from the sky like flies.

Hi guyz - Time for an eventual completely stupid question. It is in my understanding that Flamming cliffs 3 and the standalone F15C are completely the same. however i've come accross a few discution were it wasn't completely clear and suggesting stand alone version had some differences. Are both the same of not ?

Everyone is with you. Don't get mad after all those dude asking for release. When you do something such beautiful and highly expected, it is normal that people goes crazy. This is not against you - it's more like ... santa claus effect. They can't wait to play. Kudos for the work you and the team did, i really hope the ressource and time investment will pay out well and that leatherneck will become a productive and successful developer. :)

If ED works the core - people will complain that modules aren't coming fast enough - If ED works module - people will complain that core isn't stable. :)

Slow aircraft are having hard time in Ukraine. Do you think a-10 would survive in similar 'manpads rich' environment ?

I won't name any comparison as moderators kindly asked to not do that, but i think ED forum is quite a decent place to be. I will not claim to know as much as you guys, but from my little perspective ED is quite reactive to criticism. Maybe not communicative, but take a look at Fc3 story. They ported fc2 planes, all complained about poor quality. They are now making 6dof and new 3d model. People complained about CA incomplete ? They added basic FCS and radar display. Everyone complained about comms, ghey did wagsday for a while. They may not be reacting to everyone's dream, but they do some. Again, i wish incould name a lot of other products as example. But i can't so i ll just say - believe it or not, i don t know a lot of devs with their level. Onlh a few worth ED, from my (little) experience. You may know better guys, i do too. But still, ED team is doing fine. The forum is decently moderated (must not be easy tasks with some of us). Maybe if wags would not have to 'walk on eggs' with every word he say, ED would communicate more freely. Thats my humble opinion. I do not post often but read the forum a lot. Have a good night !
