Well. The dude has a reputation of canibal and the second guy show his arm in a deliberate attempt to block him. It s like handing over a pack of cigaret to a guy that just quit smoking lol. Next time the italians guys will play with their foots, not their arms. :p

Rain is useless in DCS without such effect. Please, ed, consider it !

Slow aircraft are having hard time in Ukraine. Do you think a-10 would survive in similar 'manpads rich' environment ?

Straight Up Question: Can ED Take Constructive Criticism?
Darkwolf replied to lunaticfringe's topic in Chit-Chat
I won't name any comparison as moderators kindly asked to not do that, but i think ED forum is quite a decent place to be. I will not claim to know as much as you guys, but from my little perspective ED is quite reactive to criticism. Maybe not communicative, but take a look at Fc3 story. They ported fc2 planes, all complained about poor quality. They are now making 6dof and new 3d model. People complained about CA incomplete ? They added basic FCS and radar display. Everyone complained about comms, ghey did wagsday for a while. They may not be reacting to everyone's dream, but they do some. Again, i wish incould name a lot of other products as example. But i can't so i ll just say - believe it or not, i don t know a lot of devs with their level. Onlh a few worth ED, from my (little) experience. You may know better guys, i do too. But still, ED team is doing fine. The forum is decently moderated (must not be easy tasks with some of us). Maybe if wags would not have to 'walk on eggs' with every word he say, ED would communicate more freely. Thats my humble opinion. I do not post often but read the forum a lot. Have a good night ! -
It is in my understanding that the project has been passed to ED for integration. That mean they have done their part of the job, now it's going for integration to the simulator. Unless i missed something......

1/ I'm correcting this for you Eagle Dynamics forum members is one of the most unforgiving and ungrateful communities towards developers I have ever seen.... You cannot judge a customer base on the sole forum. here is only a small, very tiny percentage of customer, and should not obviously NOT be accounted for "representative". Only a very few customers are hanging around here. 2/ I did not counted. It's late so i will not anyway. I spend quite a lot of time around, connecting to the forum like 20-30 times day. (lost my job, have quite some time). I do not post a lot but i search every corner of the forum for news that i relay on facebook DCS fan page. I Feel like they is "at least" as much "thank you/good job message" than "innapropriate complain" such you mention. If you think the forum is full of anger/frustrated people, i really suggest that you get a fresh beer, sit down and read a little bit on Ubisoft forum. Believe me, I've been thru their and some other developpers forum.... Let say even Luthier hasn't reached its full potential in that way. 3/ In the matter we are talking about - I have mixed feelings. On one side, I do agree that frustration and angry message won't help. On another side, we are customers. Not friends. We are buying stuff and if a company comes and promises things that doesn't held up, I do feel the right to express my opinion. Yet I totally agree that some people should definitively be more polite in their comments. Its not steam nor CoD forum here. :) RAZBAM came, make a lot of noise then dissapear. It is not surprising people are calling vaporware on this. I'm following RAZBAM facebook despite having no real interrest in their FSX line because they seems to care about what they doing - i have hope to see them coming back here. But i understand the other potential customer's frustration. Yet it should stay polite. :)

Not a reason. You are not forced to play the f86 against su-27. seagull simulator is included in operation flashpoint 1

OOOOhhhh ok. You convinced me. I'm going to throw money at them, only for the new map :P

Take RoF1, add a plane, change the name, sell it all over again.

Great, we will have Normandy for December 2015

Spanish team was obliterated. Following up this defeat, King Juan Carlos retired at midnight this night. :P :P :P

All sides have got terrible civilian toll. I hope we will never see that again.

Well. On one hand, ED don't really need steam, its distribution is OK. Servers aren't the best but the licence management and purchase system is good. On the other hand, Steam is the largest game hub and was a nice place to showcase ED game. Unsure if good or bad news.

Well- That obviously don't worth a single cent to ease the pain, but as a flight sim enthousiat, I needed to say thank you for your huge support that is indirectly helping us enjoying WW2 birds we wouldn't be able to fly IRL.

Release requiring ED's involvment, i wouldn't be surprised if the Mig21 and Hawk release are synchronised - for the sake of not having too much patching to do. Whatever is not released with 1.2.9, will likely get delayed much further. But that's still a personnal analysis based on my own little brain full of beer - nothing has been said by ED.

ED has always been ED. They have been doing some efforts lately. I still regret the weekly update but yet they are not comparable. They is regular devellopers commenting subject thru the forum. They are regulary posting pictures of upcoming products They are providing open beta of patches They do post preliminary updates. Do this can be better ? Of course. Nothing is perfect. Is this comparable to RRG ? I wouldn't make that shortcut : For 2014 - Regarding ED - They've been 11 official thread, which account for 19 messages, since 1/1/2014. That make an average of 2.2 thread/month; 3.8post/month. I don't count message other than in the official section. Luthier has 1 post for 2014. Stop firing at ED. They aren't the best, but they don't compare, here.

Current infantry need a hell of a overhaul. Completely useless as it, either from CA point of view than even for immersion. They should drop the current "one man is one IA", and integrate a "squad" entity, like in game such Combat Mission. Would definitively help CPU, ground commander, and mission designers. It's weird that in a Sea/air/land simulator, the worst thing modeled is the most important thing in the war : the grunt. But I've got faith in ED, one day, in a distant future, they'll do it right ! :)

Dassault isn't far from Belgium, they often cross the border to play paintball here at the local field. I can try to arrange the agreement with a few crates of our finest beer. :)

Well - after DCS WW2, i'm not sure they will be able to run a new game out of a kickstarter ^^

Finally, the Mig 21 may not be the first DCS jet fighter :P Those screens are lovely (so is the 21). Thank you all for your dedication and your products.

do you really think that he would have a bigger NDA than Leatherneck and VEAO ? Leatherneck (and formally Bzcel) are what... 1.5, 2 years late now ? This never prevented them to drop by and say hello, answer a couple of questions or when they can't, at least drop a message to say that they'll answer as soon as possible. I can't understand how some studios can't, and I can even less understand why people try to find argument to defend them, by the sake of fanboy'ism.

Excited about Sabre but will only buy if authentic theater is provided
Darkwolf replied to Bahger's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Just hang around more often and you'll notice the numerous "thanks"-thread that are spread across the forum. Well - Only thing that is above their amount is the bug report type of thread. :) -
Whoaw. Thanks for sharing with us !
