AV-8B Harrier Thread Then stop buying beta and early access software Wow. Sniped by so many people. I should finish reading the thread before I reply! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Of course I’m grateful. Anyone who’s worked fast food knows the entitled d-bags they constantly have to deal with. Buying a product doesn’t mean you’re entitled to be a jerk. Same with DCS. If I don’t like the product then I’ll simply restrict future purchases or research them more carefully. Not whine about how it didn’t meet my specific expectations out of the thousands of satisfied customers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok. I’ve been looking at the announcement in the “official announcements” forum but it must be a typo cause Jan 28 isn’t a Tuesday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

See today’s post by Wags. These side projects do not negatively affect their main projects. Not the same team working on them. In fact it leads to more programmers with better skills if they move up to more difficult modules later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe you should read the answers that weren’t specially to you but answered many other questions. Not everybody’s questions will always be answered. There are too many of us and to few of them for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You have to save the profile; and then you have to select the profile to make it active. You can test if it works by clicking (in windows) somewhere you can type and seeing what happens when you push the joystick button. It should “type” the command (unless it uses control or alt modifiers) I have a different profile for each aircraft and before I load up DCS I go to the taskbar and select which aircraft I’ll fly. You can also alt-tab out of DCS and select it without closing DCS Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some stores will even mount your cpu and heatsink for you when you buy a motherboard/cpu/heatsink together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I think he means the abundance of western aircraft. Especially on multiplayer where you have red and blue. It makes it hard to IFF when both sides are using the same aircraft for balance reasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2.5 optimisation

I have the feeling you’ve got some issues with either options selected in the graphics menu or a hardware issue. I’ve got an older mid grade computer that runs it just fine (not VR) even with deferred shading on. Speaking of NTTR. No idea about Normandy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yes but if you read the WW2 forums you’ll see that the original Kickstarter was 3rd party and abandoned by that 3rd party. ED has kindly taken it on (and to try and recoup their costs) but the original schedule and promises were way out of line with reality. Add to that they paused development on the p47 for awhile when they couldn’t get the proper information and only restarted awhile ago Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some good programs to monitor what’s happening with your cpu are CPU-Z and RealTemp or CoreTemp. Either temp program will show you how hot the cores run and cpu-z will show you everything else Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

AI suite will work, but if you read up a bit you can do it yourself via BIOS and not have AI suite running in the background hogging resources. I would suggest using it to begin with though. Go to the overclock utility, press auto overclock and watch what happens. You should be able to get up to at least 4.5 ghz with no problems. Also make sure you run fan xpert as well to allow proper cooling at that overclock. Once you’ve seen what it can do automatically, the next step is using the BIOS to do the same thing but with more control. Too much for a quick reply here but there are many articles online that take you step by step through that. Finally for the cores- just ignore the fact that you have more than the 2 that DCS uses. You can’t do much about that and shutting down extra cores only matters for extreme overclocking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Awesome article! Lots of interesting information. For those non-readers and without much time, part 4 is where the money is for combat ops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As a sometimes helo pilot- how come we don’t get a score for transporting crates? Maybe have set locations aside from the fob to prevent cheating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AV-8B - The Widowmaker? If you look at the list of harrier losses it’s staggering. Many per year sometimes. It’s only in the last decade or so they dropped off and even then 1 a year isn’t abnormal https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Harrier_Jump_Jet_family_losses Throwing this link in here. Hundreds of airframe losses and many of those included pilot fatalities too. Only a couple were lost to enemy fire Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think for now you just assume like a conventional landing somewhere under 200 feet/minute touchdown. Heavier equals slower. That’s how I would do it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Its the same button as nose wheel steering, but the normal radio button should work too. Try changing the binding to a different key Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don’t know the answer to your question, but how did you get the onboard gfx to output to a second monitor? I never thought of that - mines just disabled Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
