  1. The default option they give is about US$146. That's about US$561 (currently) altogether. Works out to be just less than that in Oz dollars with the current exchange rate :P
  2. Nice work fellas. You're getting that bad boy at an awesome price!
  3. So BLT are selling the Warthog to their first lot of preorder customers for ~$400. Looks like some people got a bit hasty...
  4. But likely distributed from France? I wouldn't be surprised if it was packaged in France either Laugh all you want, but there's a logical reason for the Europeans receiving it first, not an 'us versus them' thing.
  5. Obviously not. Haha, I don't believe that for a second. I don't think I would feel sensitive to it, but I would think that person is a tool and a bit of a showoff. Having not paid for the product as yet, you have no right to anything. I certainly do not have any sympathy for you guys. No arguments from me anymore. I just simply see your problem as a non-issue and not worth getting angry about.
  6. The whole underlying tone of your original post, proves my first point! Some how you have taken offence to the fact that Europe received theirs first - like it was done on purpose! Believe it or not, Europe is geographically closer to France than the US is, and in the European Union, customs is pretty much a non-issue, due to the arrangements the countries have. Reading between the lines, it seems that one US retailer has received his first shipment of Warthogs, which would lead me to believe that US bound Warthogs have been in transit for some time now, but have been held up in the process, or just taken longer than expected. Apple and Thrustmaster = (ironically) apples and oranges. Apple (and I exaggerate for effect) is a million times bigger than Thrustmaster and would have significantly more customers awaiting their new products. Your point about Apple is moot. So far, the only loss you have suffered is maybe a few weekends without the product. I would imagine that no money has been taken from you otherwise that would be poor form on the part of the retailer. ETA's are exactly that: ETAs. What is my point in all of this? You're complaining when there are others out there who will be either waiting a lot longer to own this item, or will never own it all due to the cost. An overdramatic 'open letter' seems rather petty and insensitive.
  7. Ah, companies that could see into the future. Now THAT would be scary. Massive Dynamics anyone?
  8. I think that's the real motivation behind this thread. You shoulda had it first, right? Since when did ANY manufacturer explain a relatively small delay in the arrival of a BRAND NEW product?
  9. "Oo oo miss. What does the E stand for?" "Estimated" "...and the A?" "Arrival" "OOOh. And the T?" "Time" "Aah. What does the E stand for again?"
  10. I'm torn. On one hand I feel envious of those that the thing to get them most angry in their lives at the moment is having to wait a couple more weeks for a non-essential expensive purchase. On the other hand, that would just be sad.
  11. [cartman] I hate you guys so much right now. [/cartman]
  12. Ha! Europe and the US seem to be the only places that anyone is getting the Warthog as yet. There's not one single supplier advertising the stick in Australia. There's a good bet we'll be waiting a lot longer than your 5 Nov ETA
  13. I have a feeling I will cave this weekend. Oh look it's Friday! :D
  14. +1 Even if you can't afford the new processors when they're released, hopefully we'll also see a price drop on the current range of CPUs.
  15. I know how you feel. Sigh....I just entered into a mortgage. The Warthog is a mini-mortgage in itself!
  16. I also asked PC Case Gear. Their response was that they had no ETA as yet, but will likely stock the Warthog when it's available
  17. I can't believe it. I just moved house and won't have internet for another couple of weeks  But...this is coolest ED move ever. Thanks guys!
  18. That's awesome, thanks Wags. I really dig the prompting for the player's input during the training. It should be much easier to learn the procedures.
  19. Just something I noticed. I think that's a triple channel (memory) motherboard? I see you have chosen a 2 stick memory kit - which means you'll miss out on using the tri-channel capability of the motherboard.
  20. US$400? Not nearly as bad as expected. That means it should be around AUS$500 or less!!
  21. We're probably looking at a price tag of close to $600 in Australia. Ouch
  22. Not sure where you got those figures from. PC Case Gear (in Oz) has the i7 870 for AU$379 and the i7 875K for AU$449. So a $70 difference. PLE Computer (in Perth) also has the same sort of price difference. Oh yeah, it also looks like the i5 655K and i7 875K are not packaged with heatsinks....but who wants them anyways? :P
