  1. Couple of landings (don't rate them) - first one is default config, second was carrying the heaviest loadout + max fuel. The suspension doesn't appear to notice the extra weight. TRKs attached. mozlandg2.trk mozlandgheavy3.trk
  2. Few inches compression at most, and practically zero while parked.
  3. The Su-25/T, F-15C, Su-27/33, Mig-29, A-10A have all existed in, and helped sustain, the DCS ecosystem for over a decade. And while everyone would prefer they were full-fidelity it's not like they're 'poisoning the water' by being there. VAC (Vintage Air Combat) would sell, I think. A package of aircraft, a map, plus the assets in one purchasable bundle sounds feasible. Provided the aircraft are realistically modelled I wouldn't object to them. They would offer variety, fill some very obvious gaps, and offer a simpler, and more cost effective entry for those wanting to give DCS WW2 a try. I would prefer all DCS WW2 aircraft to be full-fidelity, most of us would. But at the current rate we'll all be dead before we see even a fraction of the variety on offer from current and past WW2 sims.
  4. Bump for this - the A8 pitot heater is useless.
  5. Are there any plans to have the 'dots' gradually fade in? Currently they are instantly solid black from over 20km away, as if there's no atmosphere between the player and the contact.
  6. This isn't much help during landing, but for taxiing and manoeuvring try setting the parking brake to appx. 40% and then you can steer easily with throttle and rudder (just remember to release brake before take-off run!)
  7. May as well sneak this one in here since you got an official response....the gunsight is not centred.
  8. Check my thread - same issue, same solution (hopefully temporary)
  9. Yep. It looks especially weird when bombers gets shot down.
  10. Another bump for this...can any dev shed light on this? i7-7600K, Z270mb, 32GB RAM, Radeon RX 6700XT, Windows 10 Proximity to units causes massive stuttering (Even on an empty map there's stuttering but not as bad) Disabling and re-enabling Core 0 in the affinity settings (1:20) cures it completely. Same result with both ST and MT .exes. DCS.log, DxDiag, .TRK attached dcs.logDxDiag.txtstutter_invincible_test.trk
  11. This age spread is encouraging. I didn't expect such a large proportion of under 30s - figured they were all playing Warthunder.
  12. Well some pilots e.g. Mig-15 didn't have G-suits (IIRC) so I'm wondering if, setting aside the time taken, the experience of G-LOC is noticeably different depending on whether a pilot wears one or not.
  13. Just to prove me wrong, Bogey Dope on Youtube (hope he doesn't mind me linking) did some tests of the new G-LOC in the F-16 and it shows without 'warm-up' the G-LOC effects match those of the Spitfire (and the rest). I re-did the F-86 test and, after a warm-up, it's behaving as as advertised. So it seems the new G-LOC effect is universal across all aircraft and the F-16 clip with which I was comparing the Spitfire et al was post-warm-up - something I should have checked beforehand. Sorry for any undue panic! e: question for the team (or anyone who knows) does the addition of a G-Suit alter the perceived effects of G-LOC (visual, auditory etc) or just the time taken for onset? (or both?)
  14. This is from the news letter.... There is no longer any tunnel vision effect flying the Spit (or the 109, Su-27, Sabre, Mig-15 etc) even after a 'warm up'. Until yesterday's patch there was. I think what's happened is that the new G-LOC code for the F-16 has accidentally removed the graduated tunnel vision for every other aircraft. If that's not the case then which of these is realistic? Because they are not the same. F-16 f16blackout_edited.mp4 Su-27 Sabre Mig-15
  15. It's been gradual since forever; it's only in this patch that it's now like switching off the light. Same! But seeing the difference between the Spit and the F-16 makes me think they can't both be correct.
  16. No worries, my snark was un-called for. The Spit (and 109, and probably others) do have the same loss of colour as the F-16 (check my video), just not the gradual darkening/tunnel effect. Here's a vid I stole from Reddit for comparison. f16blackout_edit.mp4 blackout.mp4
  17. Ah...so it's not Spitfire specific. Thanks for the vid, MM.
  18. We've all flown the Spitfire; a lot. Try it - it's been changed. There's no longer anything to ride.
  19. I've watched video of the new F-16's G-LOC effect but where that one is a gradual fade out the Spitfire's is sudden; like flicking a light switch. Spit gloc.trk
  20. I'm hoping it's just a case of 'We're on it, don't worry!' I had suspected it was something to do with low Core count. My CPU (7600K) has only 4, and I've seen others with the same issue who have similar CPUs. But if you're having the same trouble with a 13700K then....
  21. No change. Unplayable stuttering (both .exes) until disabling then re-enabling Core 0 in the affinity settings. After which it runs perfectly smooth.
  22. If Virpil comes with its own profiling software you might want to try programming the brake to produce rapid, short pulses that don't apply full brake pressure; a bit like ABS brakes.
  23. ....with a field for duration/threshold in milliseconds. Would greatly help avoid accidental deployment, activation, and droppage.
