  1. Well, one might argue that the "NATOPS in the trash can" scene was probably an invitation to the audience to do what you did!
  2. Agreed, it's a nice movie and a worthy sequel to the original, even though, I have to say that once you know a bit more than Average Joe about military aviation, suspension of disbelief becomes very, very hard!
  3. I'm waiting for the trailer... after all, they just created a YouTube channel, the timing is telling!
  4. I'm watching it this Saturday in preview, does that mean I get the 339 before anyone else?
  5. I hope you don't want to end up with me like Mav did with the person to whom he was talking!
  6. Thank you, Duke! How about selling us the aircraft, now?
  7. I had no idea about that, thanks for the RL info! For once, DCS limitations ended up mirroring real life, even if for different reasons. That's a pity, let's hope ED will update the 755, it's nice to have some variety. And thanks for the info about the Belouga.
  8. And just when Top Gun 2 is being released here in Italy.... and Pete Duke Mitchell flew Phantoms!!!! EDIT: had to correct that horrible mistake!
  9. As always, thank you for your answers, Automan. I'll have those 500 l tanks glued to my wingtips all the time I think! It's a pity that DCS code doesn't allow to have pods that can release multiple weapons like the BRD-4-250, it would have been and interesting choice for training runs. I'll gladly take the HD only config for Snake Eyes and BAT-120 and, if one day you'll verify that the 339 can drop them in both LD and HD and implement that with ED help, I'll even more gladly take that, too! And now, as always, more questions! I took another look at the weapons list and saw that we'll have the BL-755 (BTW, did you sneak them in later, with the Mk-81s?): if I understand correctly, it should be an equivalent of the CBU-97, minus the complex sensories of the latter, and well suited against armoured targets, right? And does that mean that you'll give us the general purpose submunitions for the Belouga, which would make it roughly equivalent to a Mk-20/CBU-87, so that we'll have BL-755 for hard targets and the BLG-66 for soft ones?
  10. Ci sta.
  11. Once again, @Automan, thank you for your answer. 1) I'm afraid my first questione wasn't very clear, though you probably answered anyway. When you gave me the first answer about pylons weight limitations, I noticed that the total mass they can bear is about 2.500 kilograms (5.500 pounds), while in the manual I found charts where the limit for the underwing loads is given as 1.814 kg (I don't have the manual handy right now, but it's in section 5 of the Dash 1, the envelope diagrams in there), so I was wondering if, beside the theoretical limit of 5.500 pounds, under wing loading was otherwise limited to about 4.000 pounds. From your answer above, I gather that, within the 13.000 pound (5.900 kg) MTOM, sacrificing some fuel, we could bring the full load of 5.500 pounds under the wings: is that correct, or did I misunderstand? 2) About the BAT, I saw there's a LG version too, but I assumed you weren't going to model it, because the 339A has no self designation pod; I realize now that you could have added it anyway, like in the F-5, which relies on external designation. Anyway, the ABL seems indeed the most versatile of the three, I can't wait to see what it can do in action. On a different train of thoughts, regarding it and the Snake Eyes, will we be able to alternate between LD and HD deliveries, via the fuze selections, or will we be able to release them only in HD configuration? Finally, thank you for the work you guys did on the weapons side, the airplane will have a varied and interesting choice of weapons that'll make it intriguing and an effective platform on the battlefield, despite its limitations, especially in cold war servers.
  13. I played that mission no more than two weeks ago, IIRC, right after friendly infantry reach the field where the insurgents were at the beginning of the mission, you get the radio message that the rebels surrendered and you can RTB. I suspect that the trigger that finish the mission is friendly infantry getting inside that field (trigger zone), so, even if all the enemies are dead, you have to wait for that to happen. After that, as Senna said, you can RTB and the end credits for the campaign begin to roll. EDIT: I remember clearly that I still had three enemy infantry in the field and they were despawned by the game when friendlies got into the zone. I think it confirms what I wrote above, you have to wait for the friendly infantry to get to the field.
  14. Hey @Automan, sorry if I keep pestering you today, but since I'm starting to smell JP8 in the air, I'm beginning to think about loadouts and you're on the receiving end of my mental jerkings... 1) If I read correctly the Dash 1 manual (I don't have the -1A), the figure of 1.814 kg is the maximum for the underwing pylons only, excluding the wingtip tanks: is that correct? 2) regarding the BAT-120 (of which I had never heard before, thank you for that!), I see here https://cat-uxo.com/explosive-hazards/aircraft-bombs/bat-120-aircraft-bomb that it comes in two flavour, differing in the number and size of the fragments: are you gonna implement them both, or just one, or is it going to be a sort of hybrid of the two? Thank you and sorry again for badgering you today!
  15. Tutto chiaro, Automan, thank you very much again!
  16. Thank you very much, Automan! EDIT: some time ago (maybe in 2020)you guys showed us pictures of the airplane taken from below with various loads attached. If memory serves, there were Belouga bombs: have they been taken off the list of possibile loads? And, if it's possibile to know, what are the limitations for the wing pylons?
  17. @Automan sorry to bother you, but, since we're closer to release, could you give us an update and comprehensive list of the weapons that will be available for the 339?
  18. I'm afraid not, didn't see a probe in any of the pictures they released; and, AFAIK, only the CD has AAR capabilities
  19. Ooooh, boy, great link! Fan Song would be very appropriate, but I like some many more.... Free Willie, Berlin, IRIS, Alphabet... gotta admire fighter pilots creativity!

    Preorder?

Let's cross all of our fingers!

    Preorder?

Well, guess I was wrong, next OB update is scheduled for next Wednesday.
  22. Ancora niente, ma se stanno preparando il trailer, non dovremmo essere lontani.
  23. I'm sorry for the dumb question: how do I install the program? I downloaded the .msix file, but if I double clik on it, it doesn't run, the "choose an application window" opens... I can open it with 7zip, can I just decompress what's inside in a folder? EDIT: Nevermind, I just downloaded the .zip version.

    Preorder?

I'm not sure about that, YoYo, Wags have been showing that map in at least three recent video now (see the previous 2 F-16 ones), and we're right in the middle of the 40th anniversary of the war... I think it'll be released shortly.
