  1. I'm guessing the devs saw them anyway, however, regarding Hiob's hypothesis, take a look at the pictures in this post:
  2. Aaaah, I thought it was this one! Really I'm getting old!
  3. Because that was their plan, originally. Plans are always changed by events in real life. Yes, the F-15E was in the pipeline already, but you're assuming that there already was a series of dates set in stone from the beginning. I don't really think it works like that: again, everyone have probably planned for a 2022 release, then life, as always, changed those plans. Nobody lied. Besides, I merely mused about what could happen if the F-15E was ready to release before the end of the year, since I recall reading somewhere that ED never release two new modules at the same time. In any case, it's just speculation based on the amount of pictures and videos Razbam is putting out lately, maybe the SE is still a long time coming. Mine was just a musing, not a statement of truth, and I thought that was clear, from the phrasing. If it wasn't, well, sorry I got you guys all worked up, I hope now it's clear what I meant.
  4. Oh, I am, too, I won't be buying the F-15E, I was just wondering if, beside the development time of the Phantom, other external factors could sc..w us for a 2022 release.
  5. It looks like someone edited out of this thread some posts (IIRC). Anyway, @Hiob said that it could have something to do with instantaneous huge increase of Gs on the structures and it could be so: this is a picture I took after a "bump" on Anapa taxiway, where the pilot blacked out; I'm guessing since I was light (only fuel onboard) and taxying slowly I didn't explode. As you can see, the Gmeter max and min hands are at the above +12 and -6; I always reset it during startup, so those values were recorded during the "bumping". Same thing later, during a lesser "bumping", Gmeter reads about +4 and -1,5. EDIT: Btw, as I wrote earlier, I only exploded when online, but it's true that I never played offline on Anapa, so it could just be that some airport in Caucasus are safe, others are not. Offline, I used Batumi, Kutaisi and Senaki without problem, online I tried Anapa, and always had troubles during taxy, and Senaki, where everything went fine (on two different servers, though).
  6. I'm wondering if the possible release of other modules that are submitted before the F-4 (say, for example, the F-15E, for which a lot of content is coming out lately) could definitely delay the Phantom to next year; I seem to recall that ED said they would never release two modules at the same time.
  7. Rearming and refueling before entering the runway is a great idea, I'll try that. Even taxying below 10 knots might help, yesterday I was on Hoggit training server at Senaki and I managed to take off without blowing (AAA took care of that, later... ).
  8. Copy, thank you!
  9. Thank you, Duke!
  10. Will do! The problem is, especially with online game sessions, that the track file is usually big and got easily corrupted. Are Tacview tracks useful?
  11. Hey Duke! First of all, thanks for the reply. Secondly, I think you should revised how the Anti Ice BITs are working on the module, at this moment, or the documentation: the kneeboard checklist says to throttle up to 60%, not 75% (see the file "11.jpg", item 1), just as the checklist in the RL manual (even in the system description, the manual says "with the engine running at 60% or more" - page 1-21 in the one I have -; so, 60% should be enough to run the test); besides, the Pitot check is set before engine start in the checklist (see file "05.png", "Right console", item 8), it should work with the engine not running and, if I'm not making some other mistake, right now it's not. Sorry if I'm being picky, but I kinda have the feeling you guys are, too!
  12. Thank you Duke, great list, can't wait for the update! Me too, I really wanna see if the 339 can survive in an online high threat environment... up to now I always died on the taxiway!
  13. Actually, I was asking you guys. I found a bunch online, I want to know which one is the correct one for the model we're getting. I honestly have no idea.
  14. Hey there! Does anyone know what Techinical Order would be the relevant one (or ones if more than one) for the first F-4E we're getting? Thank you!
  15. Hi guys! The full checklist for the aircraft, the one included in the kneeboard (thank you for that), lists a series of BIT at start, namely the ones regarding the Pitot Anti Ice system, the Engine Anti Ice system and the Cabin pressure switch. I tried to run them, but none seems to work: the anti ice systems BITs clearly are not working (e.g. the indicators on the front panel do not change, there's no variation on the loadmeters, ecc.), the one about cabin pressure doesn't seem to work, but it might just be because, in real life, the pilot should verify the correct working of the system by checking that the air flow from the pressurization outlets stops; nothing changes in DCS when you turn the switch to the "off" position, I'm not sure if it's by design, or if the sound effects are still missing (for example, in the F-14 or F/A-18 you can hear the air flow stopping when you turn the air off). So, I'd like to know if these BITs are going to be included or you simply decided not to simulate them. P.S. Since I'm at it, the ELT light is really hard to see, especially in VR, could you make it brighter?
  16. It happened to me yesterday online: Georgia at war server, just started taxi out of my stand, turning on the taxiway the nose took a dive and I exploded (in game it was just a big boom, only watching the Tacview track I could see the nose diving inside the concrete). I should have the track saved, if you guys want it, but it's a long one (24 minutes before the incident) and I'm not sure it's gonna be useful. Let me know. By the way, may I ask if you made any progress in identifying the cause? EDIT: I forgot to add, it never happened to me offline in Caucasus (IIRC is the only map in which I used the 339, for now), I played all the training missions, all the campaign and some custom made mission (always starting in Batumi, in these ones).
  17. Yeah, you could be right... they're probably dancing the Pippero! (Only Italians of a certain age can understand this one... :D)
  18. ... you should know which color goes where... Mission 6 of the minicampaign, both times the smokes go on they paint the wrong picture.
  19. Thank you, guldrel, I thought those controls were only for the CDU and radio displays!
  20. Hey there! Is there a way to dim the brightness of the comm frequencies repeater panel and the remote display unit (the two small screen with white characters left and right of the ADI on the front panel)? They are really a punch in the eyes at night, especially in VR... Couldn't find anything in the manual, maybe the devs could add a "field modification" like a piece of tape to put on them at night, toggleable with mouse click on a hotspot?
  21. New patch incoming... maybe this time will have the 339 update. Gotta say, I'm not happy about how ED is treating IFE and this module: first they release at the same time there's a sale (a thing I haven't seen them do in any other case), then they don't include the fixes in the OB patches... not cool.
  22. Thank you @gulredrel! I finally got to fly the 339 and I was stuck at that very same point, now I know how to go forward!
  23. Hey @Flappie I did as you suggested and it worked, thank you very much.
  24. Si, facevano veramente così. Non so se lo facessero anche gli argentini, come dice Orion, ma è possibile, parliamo comunque di aerei di terza generazione che non sempre erano equipaggiati con dispenser.
