  1. Personally, when I have 3 tanks I use STOP on the centerline one to burn the wing tanks first, usually on the way to the target, so that I can drop them when I'm more likely to meet the enemy and have to maneuver, without losing too much fuel (if any).
  2. Hey MBot! I have the Battle Group Delta campaigns installed, if I download the EastMed for the Cat, do I have to update the DCE? If so, how do I do it?
  3. That's true! But I make the judgement call that virtual United States of America would rather have a virtual multimillion dollars aircraft safely on the deck, than a pilot blindly following virtual orders and taking a virtual bath in the Gulf! :D EDIT: btw, I do that only when egressing from target, when going in I follow the flight plan, otherwise I would mess up coordination with the other divisions.
  4. FPAS is your best friend, too, along with throttle management. I've played 4 mission by now and not once had to refuel, even when I got to attack Lavan. When you're egressing, climb at 40k, set ATC to the FPAS suggested Mach value for best range and you should have no trouble. Of course, you can even choose to bring more fuel (when the CV gets closer to Iran, the ATO always goes for 2 bags, but center station is usually not used, so...) and be always mindful of burner, it can save your life temporarily, but it'll complicate it later!
  5. Thank you!
  6. Thank you, MBot, I fixed the installation, now everything works fine. I'm assuming I can put the F-14 campaign in that folder without fear of any file being overwritten?
  7. Hi MBot, the campaign is installed in the following directory: C:\Users\XXXXXXXXX\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech\DCE\Missions\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\ I unzipped the content of "FA-18C_Battle_Group_Delta_v20191230.zip" inside that folder, so right now the structure is: ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\FA-18C Battle Group Delta (this one is a folder) ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\camp_status.lua ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\FA-18C Battle Group Delta.cmp ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\FA-18C Battle Group Delta_first.miz ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\FA-18C Battle Group Delta_ongoing.miz ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\MissionEventsLog.lua ....\Campaigns\FA-18C Battle Group Delta\scen_destroyed.lua I hope it's clear enough to troubleshoot it, now. Thank you for your help (and for the campaign, mission 1 was already awesome, can't wait to be able to progress to the others!)
  8. No issues in multiplayer, best tool ever for those who play in VR! Well, there's something an Italian buddy is working on that it's pretty cool, too, although more complicated, since you have to use a tablet: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=246970
  9. Thanks, MBot, I didn't notice your post just above mine, I used WP 0 to align the INS and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, after two hours of mission, when I got back, I had this error in the cmd window... what is wrong, and how can I fix it?
  10. Please, someone find a workaround, I'd like to play this campaign, but it is unplayable like this...:cry_2:
  11. He meant in the game, Shimmergloom, we don't have 32s in the game (and I honestly can't understand why, they're basically the only smart bomb missing...)

The pinky button on the stick, the same one you use to activate/deactivate nosewheel steering. The default keyboard binding is S, IIRC.
  13. Hey eScourge! It's been changed some patch ago. Apparently, the system described in the video you linked is not how it works in RL. So, no more assigning PP targets through TOO designation. I suggest you watch RedKite's last video on how attacking multiple targets works on the Hornet right now, here's the link: Unfortunately, it's way more complicated and time consuming that it was before....
  14. Hey guys, thank you for your replies. Max, unfortunately it's been more than 2 years since I purchased the hardware, so even here in Europe, warranty is gone. I might try to contact TM support, maybe they can send me a replacement potentiometer/sensor. Ant0ine, thanks for the link, a very interesting video, too bad doesn't show more of the ministick. What kind of cleaner should I use on it?
  15. Hi there! I have the T.16000M flight suit and really had nothing to complain about (I got it on Amazon a couple of years ago for only 165 euros...). Unfortunately, lately the mini-stick on the throttle began to spike a lot. I use it mostly to slew sensors around (radar, TGP, Mavs, etc) and it drifts away, to the left side, sometimes down, making it really hard to use, especially with TGPs. I searched the Internet to find a solution, but came up empty ended... So, is there anyone here who can help? Keep in mind I'm not much savvy when it comes to messin' about with this kind of hardware, I opened it up a couple of times to work on the screw that allows to adjust tension, but that's just it.
  16. Frederf, thank you for the reply, cleared things up for me (just like the one you gave on the thread about bomb loadout, didn't have time to thank you there, at the time, then I forgot! :P) Syndrome, I'd say you can try to launch a SW at 5/10 NM, against a closing non maneuvering targets, surely not in a dogfight. Anyway, I was talking about radar performances, regardless of the missiles you have selected.
  17. Hey Syndrome, I wasn't talking about the AMRAAM range, but the range at which radar can get a lock in BORE mode. All the sources I've seen talk about 10 nm as range for the BORE mode, anyway, I guess I'll just have to wait for the next update and see what happens. It's very good to have faster lockon times.
  18. Hey there! The manual says that ACM Bore mode has a range of 20 NM, but all other sources I've seen say the block 50 has an ACM bore range of 10 NM, like all others ACM modes. That begs the following questions: is it just a typo in the manual? Is the actual range of Bore mode in game 10 nm or 20? And which one should it be, for a RL block 50 Falcon?
  19. It's a vague timeline, so maybe it's just vaguely jinxed! :D
  20. I'd like to see this back, too.
  21. So, it shoud theoretically be possible... If you can, could you explain us why in real life it's not used?
  22. Hmmm... I don't know, Eldur, if you look at this picture: http://www.f-16.net/forum/download/file.php?id=2379&mode=view it should be able to bring two GBU-12s, just like on 3 and 7, with enough clearance.
  23. Hey there! With the arrival of the center drop tank, I thought I could increase the number of bombs brought to the party, but I see that we can load only a single GBU-12 on stations 4 and 6. Is there a reason for that? Shouldn't those stations be able to carry at least 2 GBUs, like on stations 3 and 7?
  24. I'll repeat myself here: the best DCS tutorials on the Internet! Thank you, RedKite, keep up the great work!
  25. One more cheer for, IMHO, the best DCS tutorials on the Internet! Thank you, RedKite, keep up the great work!
