  1. +1 for this map. I actually hope it'll be the new free map, it would make a lot of sense and and lot of people happy.
  2. I noticed that lately the Mk-83 bomb and its derivatives seems not to be part of new releases. Specifically, we didn't get the GBU-32 on the Hornet and the list of weapons for the Falcon doesn't include the 83 in any form. Is there a reason behind this, or is it just a coincidence and I'm seeing too much into it?
  3. Hey, no worries! Far be it from me to demand for anything! I know you all guys are working on this project out of passion and in your free time. I just wanted to know if there were any news about the update, since the communicated month of release of the patch was closing. Take your time, do everything right, we'll wait; maybe just let us know what is going on, we're adults, we can take it (well.... most of us, at least!)
  4. Duke, Automan, thank you very much for your answers! That said.... sooooooo.... it's September the 30th.... any update on the update? :music_whistling:
  5. Hey guys! How come I can select but a few skins in ME? I'm sure I have all of the skins listed in the OP, because I can see them in the encyclopedia, but I can't use them in ME.
  6. Ramsay, Buzybee, thank you, I updated and everythings seems to be just fine.
  7. Aaaaaah, too bad, I was hoping for a weapon delivery parameter page in the next release.... oh, well, I know a couple of guys who recently transferred at Lecce Galatina, I'll pester them to teach me! :D
  8. Thanks Duke, that was what I actually was wondering about; flying a Sinus in real life, I should be used to it, but then, again, it's also true that, having not (yet!) found a way to hang some rockets and bombs under the motorglider wings, I'm not used to dive on targets with it! :D Sydy, I have a TM T.16000 flight suite. As for the weapon manual.... my impression was that Duke was referring to the next patch of the module? Duke? :D
  9. Hey Sydy, thank you for your video, those parameters definitely improved my hit percentages! Waiting for the secret weapon manual, I have a question for you all: is it just me (or my controller setup), or the airplane is a bit wobbly, especially on yaw axis, when you put her in a dive and try to line up to a target? Any suggestion for axes curves?
  10. Hey guys! Noob question: I'm running Tacview 1.7.5, if I update to 1.8, will the tracks I recorded with the previous version be corrupted or not playable anymore?

    WP Rockets

    + 1!
  12. Grazie mille, Automan, you satisfactorily answered all of my questions! Yeah, I knew the various warheads in real life, I wanted to know which one was used in game, to know against which type of targets to use them. Gotta ask, though, any plan on expanding the variety of warheads? (Even though I'm guessing it's not going to be easy, since you used an already existing weapon...) Wow, thank you, I'm even more grateful, since you've filled a big (and pretty shameful, given their are Italian rockets :P ) gap in my aeronautical knowledge, I didn't know (or forgot, I'm guessing I had already seen images of the G.91 with rocket pods) about this weapon. Thanks, even for the bluntness, I had hoped to be able to use the 339 for some air to air with something more than guns... but, who knows, maybe one day this'll become a full fidelity module with more than one variant! :smilewink: Grazie ancora for your answers and all the work you and team put into this wonderful little aircraft!
  13. Hey guys! First of all, even if it'd go without saying, thank you for the great mod(ule!), doubly so, because I'm Italian! ;) I have a couple of questions about the weapons, I couldn't find the answer I was looking for in this nor the previous thread. 1) what kind of warhead do the Matra 155 have? 2) I tried to find out more real life information about the LR-25 and the ARF/8M3 rockets, but couldn't find anything on the Internet, have some pointer? 3) Not sure if the -A you're modelling was/is capable of carrying them, but I'll ask anyway: any plan to add AIM-9s and/or R.550s? Thanks again for all of your work and for the answers!
  14. Hey there daarseth! Stupid question, since you said you didn't have any folder under C:\Saved games: did you make your own? If so, try not to call it DCS.openbeta, but just DCS; my mod is installed under C:\Users\MyNameHere\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech And, as pokeraccio stated, the correct name of the mod folder, now, it's "US Navy Equipment" (without quotation marks, of course). Failing that, I'd try to contact gwdope on this page (he doesn't have a forum account), or the Navy equipment mod author on this page and ask for their help.
  15. Thanks Fat Creason, I'd say you guys can close this thread down.
  16. Have you reinstalled it after patching? In my experience, every time you patch the game, the files are rewritten and must be reinstalled.
  17. Hey there! I noticed that, since a couple of updates, while performing the post-start checklist as a pilot, items 18 seems to be broken. 18 is the verification of the integrated operation of speed brake and trim, in other words, the step where you extract first partially and then fully the speed brake and verify that the stabilators move when you do that. Well, the stabilators aren't moving anymore. Am I the only one to experience this? Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug?
  18. Here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=247289 This thread should give you all the informations you need.
  19. Tundra, the confusion stems from the fact that the DLC controls on the stick actually command two (well, three if you count countermeasure deployment) systems: - with flaps down, DLC controls command the spoilers and slats for landing; - with flaps up, DLC rotary controls command the maneuvering flaps, the degree-limited deployment of flaps to improve turn rate at high AOA (pardon any mistakes in techical jargon, I'm not a fighter pilot!); - with flaps up DLC pushbutton commands the deployment of countermeasures by the pilot. So, as you can see, the same set of physical controls have different function depending on the situation you're on.
  20. Copy that, Kaba, I assumed he was running into my same problems. :worthy:
  21. Black Assassin, before you edit the logbook, take a look at pages 6 to 8 of this thread, from post #59 to post #75; I had the same trouble you have, but in the end, after watching carefully tacview files (I uploaded a bunch of them, you find them in post #66), I succeeded. I'm not sure what version are you playing, but keep in mind that the F-18s will likely not kill the SA-10 before you get there, they usually launch all of their HARMs at max range and most of the missiles don't reach the target. What the Hornets will accomplish, though, is to force the SAM site to waste a big bunch of missiles on them, so that when you and your wingman get on target, it will usually shoot two/three missiles at you. When you see that the SA-10 stops shooting, that's your cue to get on the airport, drop the bombs on targets as fast as you can (ideally, no more than two passes) and get the hell out of there. I don't suggest engaging the fighters, because fuel will be an issue in this one. As a matter of fact, another thing to do is to climb as high as you can to save fuel after take off, get to WP 1 at 25/30 k, easy on the throttle, then drop down to weed level as you get closer to Maykop; btw, I suggest that around 50/40 miles from the target you turn left, so that you leave WP2 at about 35/45 degrees to your left until you are about 15 to 10 miles away, then turn directly to it: this way you should get to the target more or less lined up with the taxyway and the aircrafts you have to hit and will be able to drop more bombs with the first pass; if you point directly to WP2 after WP1, you'll get there with an angle and will likely have to make more than 2 passes to drop all of your bombs (assuming release is set to single and not pairs). I hope this will help you, ask away if you have doubts or need other tips.
  22. So, they implemented it without saying anything in the changelog? And Wags even said it was coming later! Devils! :D Well, thanks even more, Chuck!
  23. Sooooo.... last version of Chuck's DCS Hornet guide has a whole section about the R/BL mode for the Harpoon... when are we going to have the means to put it to use? :) And how come he already has it? :D
