If I could just load my friends up (or just a friend) as gunners only I would be happy. It would be so badass to go cruising through the valleys with my friends as gunners. I would buy them all the module lol.

I had to set a deadzone of 1 in Axis Tune. Your stick has to be PERFECTLY centered for it to engage.

I did change the force IPD but it messes up the menus. I can still use them but it hurts my eyes to try to focus on them. The game looks better but the menus are all screwy. IDK if there is a fix for that?

I am in complete awe. It took a minute to really get everything setup with the sweet spot and I wasn't even sure if I liked it at first but after a couple of days now I have decided that this is it. My trackir is retired lol. It's hard to describe what it looks like. That was my biggest question before buying a headset. It's true what people said.... no screenshot or video can show you what it's like or what it looks like. I don't think I'll ever go back to 2D. The graphics aren't perfect in VR but they are pretty decent and the immersion is..... Whoa!! If someone is on the fence about it I'd say go for it. Seriously, it takes a little tweaking and getting used to but it is flat out amazing.

Maybe ha ha! We've been out in some big seas and I'm fine... other times conditions are benign and I don't get sick but I FEEL.... strange. It's weird and hard to explain. We'll see what happens in VR. I'm excited. Might be strange when the storms come through and the boat is rocking while in VR!! ADD: Really hope this laptop runs VR at a decent framerate. I hope so.

I live on a 40' sailboat so space is at a premium!! Which leaves me with laptop options only. I got a ASUS ROG G701VI-XS72K with i7 7th Gen 7820HK (2.90 GHz) and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. Hope this works! I think I'm getting the Samsung Odyssey HMD. What do you guys think?

CTRL + Pause twice I think shows what your FOV is (mixed in with a lot of other info). I have my zoom view on an axis so I just dial down the saturation in axis tune under controls. You don't really have to set up "ranges" I guess.... I just do it because in the heat of the moment I'll zoom WAYYYYYYYY too far out or in just long enough to loose sight of a plane. One negative is if you are attacking ground targets you can't see them anymore from 500 miles away. Meh. More... If you are flying jets I'd say anything beyond 20nm and your face will be in the radar anyway... and like everyone has said spotting does get easier when you start to get a feel for where someone most likely will be after a maneuver and that only comes with time. After the merge I still spend a lot of time looking for the bandit. It takes both the eyeballs and the RWR for me to locate them. The FOV thing only helps if you are looking in the right direction in the first place. Also had to learn to calm down and scan slow with my eyes. Set up a guns only mission where you are invincible, unlimited ammo, and unlimited fuel against a bandit. Set triggers that when bandit 1 dies, bandit 2 spawns and so on. That will give you the most learning for your time. Just keep fighting them until you start knowing where to look after the merge and during the fight.

It's also an FOV issue. I run my FOV at 80 and only zoom in / out 20* for a range of 60 to 100. This puts my face in the HUD and I loose all SA so what I do is set FOV at 80 and then get my face really close and hit the center button for TIR5. This kind of screws up the Hud in that not all of the info is visible when you sit back to normal but it SURE helps spotting the planes..... A Lot!! Anyway, when I really need the HUD for a shot I always stick my face up there anyway and then I can see all of the HUD. I can spot planes around 20nm now... maybe 5nm before. I noticed before when I opened up my ZOOM view (FOV) to see more around me (around 100-110) I couldn't pick out a bandit in the terrain right in front of me less than 1nm..... Now I see them but my view is opened up enough not to completely loose SA. This is my solution. I really just used the radar on the other modules to make up for not being able to spot bandits until the F-18... Radar is so bad right now I had to do something to locate the bad guys. I play at 1080P on a 15" laptop though. Also been playing sims since Jane's in the 90's :P Maybe that would work for you? Maybe not? Good luck!

Mine is the old blue one. Glad you guys are fixing it. I have ghost button presses pretty much constantly. I really like the layout but quality was severely lacking.

So I got the module and I love flying it. It is now my favorite plane but...... When I do an IFF interrogation sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It sucks to go smoking through the mountains at mach 1.5 to catch up with and bandit, use IFF, and shoot down a friendly. It definitely works sometimes but not always. I'm putting the selector knob over to CONT and using the nosewheel button. I'm not sure that there is anything else to do? I use it before I lock anything up. Usually it will show a diamond in the V if friendly..... But sometimes there's no diamond so I lock and fire only to get kicked for TK. That sucks. Is IFF just not finished? Or am I doing something wrong?

Yes. Part of the reason for posting here. Seems like this module is somewhat abandoned from reading the forums? ::::Edit:::: I see they are updating the cockpit so not totally abandoned.

I’m assuming that this fails IC? I almost bought this module just now. If English cockpit passes ic I think I will.... otherwise I’ll pass.

open the mission editer open the mission you want to change (or make a new mission) select the plane you want to change click on the tab that looks like a missile (loadout tab) in the drop down menu all of the available skins are listed select the skin you want click save or fly now enjoy your skin :) p.s. You may need to change the country for some skins. Not all skins are available for all countries.
