  1. This feature was removed as it proved to be quite dangerous for some users. The rationale for removal was that the custom download location is hard to remember once set. You will never forget that the updater touches the game install dir, but anything outside will slip out of ones memory and may (and did) lead to unpleasant surprises when either that temp folder is used for something else, or the disk layout changes.
  2. it does not looks like the last part. Probably was cut by the forum engine.
  3. it is unpacking but still should download the rest until it is 100% done. I'd like to see the autoupdate_log.txt from the operation
  4. no such cache. check your network config/routes.
  5. or submit a support ticket.
  6. I'd check AV/firewall settings for the DCS_updater.exe. Seems like it can reach the https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ but not the https://cdn.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ which serves the downloads.
  7. please, check if you can access this link: https://cdn.digitalcombatsimulator.com/
  8. please, ask the support. they have a solution. the fix will be out early next week.
  9. Just in case, the most recent public updater is always available for download here: https://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ At the bottom of the page.
  10. most probably the updater is blocked in the windows firewall - this will explain lack of network activity. The updater only communicates with 2 sites: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ https://cdn.digitalcombatsimulator.com/
  11. Fixed now. Syria should be available. Sorry.
  12. fixed. Sorry.
  13. 5-part version numbers mean a minor packaging tweak for the build. There are either no user-visible changes, or the previous build was not working at all in some cases that slipped through the testing. So, judging from the history, it is safe to use the 4-part version number embedded into DCS.exe.
  14. I guess it is your ticket in the support. The problem is found and the fix will come out soon for everybody.
  15. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/winver/nf-winver-getfileversioninfow
  16. Just FYI, we have some progress on Windows Spatial support. No ETA at the moment, though.
  17. You can delete that .torrents folder. It is just the temp files from the last previous operation, which you cancelled. It won't influence the torrents once/if they become available.
  18. it is there already. have a nice beer ;)
  19. Usermods must go into Saved Games/DCS[.openbeta]/Mods folder. They won't work from the DCS install folder
  20. The modules which were installed the last time the auth was ok will keep the authorization for 3 days.
  21. It is safe to continue, the only issue is that the filename detection code is overly strict at the moment and the updater won't delete its own torrent files that are not needed anymore. This is a tricky situation to get out from, because some users had used the "choose download folder" feature neither the way we intended nor the way we tested it. And in some cases the download folder they had chosen is a drive root or another useful folder. So now the updater should be as cautious as possible to keep their files and at the same time to delete its own junk which is not trivial to detect because some of the files were temp ones created by the torrent library...
  22. Thanks for the report! It does incorrectly assume that previous torrent files are yours. The fix is in the works.
