  1. Don't worry, we have enough info. Your own files are of a greater importance.
  2. DCS is creating the folders? It can only create folders in its writedir. Which defaults to Saved Games/DCS[.openbeta] It will be nice to see your dcs.log and autoupdate_log.txt files.
  3. Good news! I'm really glad! I will need all of these (if present): autoupdate_log.txt autoupdate_log_old.txt autoupdate.cfg autoupdate_settings.cfg autoupdate_dev.cfg ... all autoupdate*.* files in fact. .dat is not necessary and it's quite big but you can attach it as well.
  4. Windows Spatial Sound is in the works. No ETA it this point, though. It requires some optimization in the final output stage of the renderer, because Windows Spatial for an application is a virtual multichannel device with up to 17 output channels, the current implementation brings the CPU core to its knees.
  5. Yeabsolutely! Thank you for the kind words! This was the first critical bug in the updater since its inception in 2012. I hope the situation is over for you guys, but it is definitely not for us: the analysis and changes in the process are ongoing.
  6. You could ran out of space some time ago and were presented with a dialog to change your download folder. I guess at this point we cannot get any configs and logs to check this. I'm sorry for your loss. In the code, the updater operates with files inside install folder or download folder ONLY. Never anywhere else - as a safety measure. 2.10.0 started to assume that it can remove everything extra from the download folder. It was not considering a case of user error or misconfiguration where download folder may point to a useful filesystem sub-tree. 2.10.1 only deletes what it does know of and warns about everything else. Still if someone points his download folder improperly, the files matching the names of what's being downloaded will get overwritten. The only safe route here is to remove this "custom download folder" feature completely and always use game install dir for all operations. Users may opt to store their stuff there as well, but that would obviously be a risky behavior. The downsides of an open platform...
  7. The updater 2.10.1.37 should be much more careful and friendly in this regard.
  8. This is an awful incident. I am very sorry! This can only happen if you had your custom download folder set to the root of your disk. I added a restriction that only empty folders can be set as a download_dir, but unfortunately this onle applies to new settings. I guess I've should reset the existing settings. I am working on a fix to deliver it ASAP.
  9. Please, attach the track. Thanks!
  10. Known. Next openbeta should fix it.
  11. Indeed it is, an unintended one. The next openbeta should fix this.
  12. Update: The problem is in the CPU cores allocation. The sound engine just does not have enough CPU time to do its job because of other (unrelated) tasks being assigned to the same CPU core. Should be fixed in the next openbeta.
  13. Nice idea. I will add it as a feature request.
  14. The original file is in Bazar\World\Shapes\ You may happen to have some mods which override the model.
  15. Hg is much more user-friendly, indeed.
  16. One of the fixes for systems w/o IPv6 was missed in the recent openbeta. Should work ok with the upcoming one.
  17. Sorry to hear that. Continuing the download has some inefficiency with HTTP at the moment, but the fix is in the works.
  18. Indeed. For us as well ;)
  19. We've found the reason. The fix will come soon.
  20. We've found the reason. The fix will come soon.
  21. This comes from the sound engine front-end. It indicates a bug (or bugs) in the aircraft code. After the check, on the dedicated server the values are not going anywhere.
  22. A promised update: we've changed the implementation which does the checks, so let's see how it will be in the next openbeta.
  23. sorry. we are testing the fix.
  24. Such feature will be a disaster for our support staff. If you know what you are doing you can easily achieve the same using symlinks/junctions, as noted above.
