  1. It seems forcing the update installs 2.5.1. I'd advise waiting for the official update.
  2. 23 and incapable of coping with the hype.....
  3. I am officially initiating a hunger strike for the release of the hornet. It has been held captive by ED for far too long. The blood will be on your hands ED if I starve to death.....
  4. You're not alone, bud... :joystick:
  5. IIRC, the Caucasus theater is based on Georgia as it was in 2008 or somewhere around that time. Queen Tamar Airport wasn't completed until 2010. That's why it isn't in there.
  6. Incredibly interesting update! Eagerly looking forward to the next one. Keep up the good work!
  7. Judging from this the HeatBlur F-14 is going to be more groundbreaking than I could have ever imagined. :joystick:
  8. Had to do a double take when I saw this... Yet another one who departs way to early in life... RIP Gospadin.
  9. +1 It'd be really awesome to have a dedicated AWACS aircraft instead of the pesky F10 map. And if you make the E-2, you might as well release a C-2 too. Then we'll have both our first AWACS and our first transport. Imagine doing night traps in those babies. Gosh! :joystick:
  10. Am I the only one craving a RA-5C so I can do reconnaissance runs in downtown Vietnam? Basically, it was a cold war nuclear strike bomber turned reconnaissance aircraft which was the intelligence workhorse of the vietnam war. The main capabilities of the RA-5C are: Top speed over Mach 2 Conventional and nuclear strike capability Multi-mode ground radar for bombing Side-facing radars for reconnaissance Front, downward, and side-facing cameras Passive ELINT recording equipment capable of pinpointing enemy radar locations and pulse types Able to buddy refuel other aircraft using drouge and hose Terrain following radar for low altitude missions Radar assisted inertial navigation system Extremely innovative state-of-the-art equipment for its time Carrier takeoffs and landings We’d get our first bomber, tanker, and reconnaissance aircraft in one package! Also, she's a beauty, isn't she?
  11. As the title says, here is a direct quote from Wags 2.5 update:
  12. Thanks to you Wags and everyone else at ED for everything you've done and will continue to do for us flight simmers! I never even imagined we'd come this far, and my knees get weak thinking about what the future has in store for us! :cheer3nc:
  13. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I fly DCS for the REALISM! Now that we finally have our first ever combat sim with multiple highly detailed combat aircraft from different eras, we're going to ruin it by creating fictional maps and completely ruin the whole concept? I don't think so... If you want a desert map, make Kuwait. If you want jungles, make Vietnam. If you want mountains, make Korea. There's no need for fictional maps.
  14. I appreciate the honesty and shall sheathe my pitchfork for the time being. :D On a serious note, the F-14 looks amazing and I'm assured that it will raise the bar for flight simulation experiences for a good time ahead! God jul & lycka till. Vi ses på andra sidan!
  15. Not sure if this is specific to the AV-8B or DCS but when the aircraft is approx. 50 meters away the GBU-16's disappear and pop up again when the aircraft is about 10 meters away. I noticed this while carrying them on triple racks, inboard stations. Discovered in version 2.2.0.12448
  16. I'd buy a 172. I'd buy a 737. Heck, I'd even buy a proper glider. But a CE2!?!? No way.
  17. This has to be the troll of the century. It just has to be.....
  18. Really? I don't own the M-2000 but every time one flies by in MP they sound amazing. A lot better than most other modules IMO.
  19. Imagine flying (A)FAC for Belsimtek's F-5 and F-4. Gawd! :joystick:
  20. Honestly, accurate communications modeling is a small sacrifice to make considering how it's not even properly implemented in DCS at the moment. I don't think it will stop people from buying it. To summarize my standpoint, PLEASE MAKE THE HH-60G!!!!!!!! :joystick:
  21. That's why I thought the HH-60G was a good variant to model. If you just strip it of the advanced avionics you literally get a UH-60A. Same engines, same airframe, etc. Two birds with one stone!
