  2. Yeah. We have templates for the B-17 but not the Dora. It's been four years since release and still nothing. Either they forgot about it or they simply do not care.
  3. Callsign: Prophet Side: Axis Plane: Fw-190 I know you said individual signups only but my friend is unable to post so here we go! Callsign: Dopeman Side: Axis Plane: Fw-190
  4. HH-60G/MH-60G Pave Hawk! It would introduce a helicopter into DCS that would be able to fulfill a whole slew of different missions in a modern day high threat environment. It's a specialized CSAR/Special Operations platform. Sure, technically you can fly those missions in a UH-1H or a Mi-8, but in a high threat environment and adverse weather conditions they are very ineffective. Here are some of the Pave Hawks onboard systems: INS/GPS/Doppler navigation SATCOM satellite communications Secure/anti-jam communications LARS (Lightweight Airborne Recovery System) range/steering radio to compatible survivor radios Automatic flight control NVG night vision goggle lighting FLIR forward looking infrared Color weather radar Engine/rotor blade anti-ice system Retractable in-flight refueling probe Integral rescue hoist (60.7 meters) RWR combat enhancement Infrared jamming unit Flare/chaff countermeasure dispensing system Two M60, M240, M2 or M134 crew guns including additional door mounts for two M2's. 3,600kg capacity cargo hook Folding rotor blades and a tail stabilator for shipboard operations Provisions for the External Stores Support System (a.k.a external stores) Pretty please HeatBlur? What's not to like? :joystick:
  5. We were still in session when I posted this thread. Here is the track file: https://goo.gl/PP9PMi
  6. When flying with master arm on in A-A mode the F/A-18 will randomly launch AIM-120's. We had two blue-on-blue incidents during practice due to AIM-120 launching on its own during formation flying and rejoins between air to air clashes. Noticed in today's patch.
  7. Wow, that's awesome! Will definitely give it a shot. :)
  8. Honestly, if I could choose any F-16 variant it would be the F-16C Block 40/42 tape 5 with the Sure Strike package. And LANTIRN of course.
  9. I'd most probably buy the O-2, but any variant of the OV-10 Bronco would be an instant pre-purchase from me. I love that little bugger.
  10. DCS isn't really known for MP stability, but as of late the rubberbanding and warp issues have been worse than at any point during my 7 years of DCS.
  11. Sweden is burning all over as well. Thankfully, pretty much no one lives here.
  12. <3<3<3 EA-6B <3<3<3
  13. Honestly, is it just me or shouldn't FC4 be all Russian aircraft? We got so many NATO aircraft that we really need some more MODERN equivalent for the reds.
  14. Dude, the things I'd do for a B-1B. Just a bomber in general would be awesome. Even a WWII bomber like the Ju-88.
  15. HH-60G or MH-60M. gibs plz.
  16. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3531276&postcount=3 As I describe in the bug post above, I'm 98,333% certain that it's the fix added last patch to keep your aircraft from sliding on the deck. I've tried the trick I described in that post in different temperatures, carrier-, and windspeeds. Still seems to work consistently. Please try for yourselves and see if you can help me confirm that this actually is the issue we're experiencing.
  17. Yes. We were adamant that the wind was causing it but as I described in post #3 this issue showed out to be completely unrelated to wind.
  18. Ok, I think I cracked the code. I think it's the sliding on the deck fix that ED implemented. If you look carefully when you press 'U' to connect to the shuttle, your aircraft slowly slides into position, then it stops and a second or two pass, then the aircraft snaps into place. I suspect that the snapping into place is some sort of script to keep the aircraft from sliding across the deck when standing still. Because if you smash your throttles into full afterburner the second you press 'U' your aircraft will launch before the sliding script starts and take off at 200 knots. If you press 'U' and wait for the script initiate before taking off, the aircraft will be slowed down by the script and take off at sub-130 knots. If you're taking off at a light weight it doesn't matter. If you're heavy, you better launch before the anti-sliding script goes online, or you're in for a dip. EDIT: After further testing I can confirm that, beyond a reasonable doubt, this is definitely the issue.
  19. Catapults launch at different speeds depending on wind. Here's the setup: F/A-18C on CAT 1 with takeoff weight at 50,000 lbs. If the carrier is moving at 22 knots with 5 knots headwind you will leave the deck at circa 130 knots and inevitably crash into the water. If the carrier is still moving at 22 knots but with no wind you will leave the deck at about 200 knots and takeoff with no issues. This can't be right, can it?
  20. Eagle Dynamics F-16C Block 50 confirmed! From this weeks newsletter: All aboard the hype train!
  21. My entire squadron has tried this and it doesn't work. But at least now we know it's a bug rather than general incompetence on our part, so that's comforting.
  22. Hi! Just want to start off by saying thank you ED, the F/A-18C is a dream come true! I've been searching for how to disable the moving map on the HSI so you just have the symbology but I can't find squat! If anyone knows anything, that'd be much appreciated!
  23. A buddy started downloading, then canceled the download when he saw BIGNEWY's post. Then checked the downloads folder and it showed a 2.5.1 version number. But who knows, he might just be really incompetent..... :D
  24. It seems forcing the update installs 2.5.1. I'd advise waiting for the official update.
  25. 23 and incapable of coping with the hype.....
