Anti-Virus picks up Trojan in ED products installer
GeorgeLKMT replied to Crumpp's topic in General Bugs
I think that if it was infected, there would be more AVs detecting it and not only ONE. -
DCS World is free and comes with TF-51D and Su-25T. Additional content (planes, maps, campaigns) is paid.

Q: Will the ZA get released by the end of the year? A: We'll try. Also, the variant without the gunsight and camera will be available even earlier than the ZA. Source.

Why wouldn't there be...? It's obviously a bug. As for the explanation, wide beam/narrow beam isn't really applicable here. That's how it might work on other planes where you have these light separated and with different lenses, but L-39 has only one reflector with different fillaments inside the lamp (and there's also a restriction of using the landing lights on ground). You can't change the illumination pattern (e.g. make it narrower) by turning up the power, that's why the real thing say "larger all-around pattern". That's all there is to it.

Tail number entries have "_KIL" at the end. So set the decal texture material to empty. Like so: {"L-39_MAIN_N_KIL", DECAL ,"empty",true}; ...and so on for every number on both sides.
-
Yes, it works without a problem, there weren't any changes made to the texture layout. But there will be an update regardless, with some new features and fixes. Probably later this week.

What about this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122577 His old website is down (try internet archive), the new one's here: http://bergison.simpit.info/

Yeah actually, also now that I found pictures of L-39 in landing config where the surfaces are deflected just like in DCS, it's apparent that my brain is actually reversed. So no bug here.
-
NOT A BUG Trim tab animations are reversed. Airplane on the picture is trimmed nose heavy, to the left and with the flaps in landing position. But: Left aileron trim tab looks like I'm trimming to the right. Left elevator trim tab looks like nose heavy (it should be tail heavy with the flaps extended) Right elev. trim tab looks like tail heavy, so the opposite of what's selected.

BUG?: The snowflake symbol on the caution and advisory lights panel should light up when the anti-icing system is put into manual mode. The portion of the manual describing the system talks only about the green light under it, but there's also: Snowflake symbol Icing conditions have been detected by the icing sensor, or the system has been activated manually.

BUG: Radio control switch on the audio panel works totally wrong. Right now, it's an on/off switch. If one cockpit has the control over the radio, you have to go to the other one and flip the switch back and forth. However, it should work as hand over/take over switch and the control should be switched between the cockpits with every flip, no matter which pilot uses it.

There's a fuel accumulator, a special tank used for feeding the engine during negative G loads. It has capacity for approx. 20 seconds flight in maximum throttle setting. After returning back to positive G load, it takes 10 seconds for this tank to fill up again.
-
I never found it vectorized, so you're probably better off creating it by yourself if you need to.
-
I doubt it. Maybe it was proposed on the paper ages ago, but it certainly never went into operational use. Only sources talking about gun pods are only quoting eachother in circles. There's no documentation or even a photo showing L-39ZA carrying an underwing gunpod, or at least I never found any...

Snowflake means that the ice-detection system detected an ice buildup Green indication underneath shows that the anti-icing system is currently in function Maybe switch your cockpit language to english.
-
I really doubt it's 800m. It's said that the target undercarriage was tuned not to drift more than one meter per 100m of cable length. On 800m length, such precision would be impossible. Old aviation magazine I have (1978) is mentioning the same measurements, roughly 120m. I think the info on l-39.cz actually comes from that magazine article, but I would trust that site as the author certainly knows what he's doing.
-
Go to the options menu, special, L-39 and switch the cockpit language there. Cockpit language is a global setting, so it'll appear in all airplanes regardless of nationality set in the mission editor.

Updated 8.11.2015 Latest version is 1.01 Changes: - Minor texture tweaks - Mod no longer replaces the English cockpit as the texture switching has now been made available by ED. Remember to remove any previous files.

Also, thanks for the mipmaps and geometry fixes! ;) But mirror is cool for sure.

Yes, that's right, I edited the post afterwards :) Now reported.

Landing gear down lights mounted on gear struts are supposed to be off when the navigation light switch is in the OFF position. Now they're staying ON at all times... Quote from the actual manual: Image from forum user Pindol.
-
Should be page 114 I know what you're getting at but in neither manual (English or Czech) it says they're supposed to be ON during the inspection. Czech manual just says "stav", meaning "condition". Same for the landing and collision lights and million other things. Just "condition".
-
Oh THESE. Alright, they're supposed to turn off when the position light switch is in off position, but they're lit all the time. Therefore it's a bug and I'm going to report it. Right now, you can only turn off the whole circuit...
-
Unfortunately, I don't know what else do you mean by "lights on the chassis" then :dunno: There are landing lights and position lights, both explained. No more lights on this aircraft...
