  1. No, just a written out term of the abbreviation right behind the abbreviation for example. Thanks Northstar98, you're a hero. Really, it seems to me that ED is assuming 90-98% of the DCS F-16 players to be real world airforce personnel.
  2. Dear ED. In the future, please consider forming posts about new features to be clearly understandable for non real-world F-16-pilots/ non [that-other-well-known-3-letter-simulator-that-I-better-not-mention-here]-pilots and consider ceasing usage of super-confusing and DCS-community-unknown terms like some never-mentioned-before "TDOA" mode (HTS), which isn't even mentioned in Chucks insane 738-pages F-16 guide! (positively insane ofc.). (in this case regarding the legendary mighty DCS F-16, which probably countless DCS players from all real-world F-16 operator-countries own. "TDOA" example from this post.) Thank you.
  3. Ok so the airdrome data airfield information window doesn't show up at all if airfield is neutral or hostile... Please make it show up, this confusing to players (old and new players I would guess). And IF this only is about warehouse information, then please only disable "resources" button in the airdrome data airfield information window.
  4. Well client needs that information, but not the user, right? Not only that. I once met a young american boy on the internet who entered an IP-address that I gave to him (just as a test) into some interface (highly illegally probably): I gave him an IP that almost ended with the same numbers as my IP and he told me the adress... And boy was that close to my actual adress. Scary. So yes, some might prefer a way to hide an IP from the serverbrowser at least, and show some unique server ID or so instead.
  5. Already on "extreme" value.
  6. "p break" ?
  7. Please move "messages history" to below "select role" button, maybe even beklow "options" button. This is a big problem for all veteran PvE/PvP players.
  8. Step 5) wait for other hundreds of DCS players to post my exact same request over the next 5 or 10 years in this forum or in DCS discord...... understand the problem?
  9. For this setting, please show what the abbreviation "ALCM" stands for. (surely not THIS ALCM, right? )
  10. I think it's already at max... Will check soon

    The Barricade

ED: Pleeeease please don't allow only a single dictator-airboss in airboss station to control it, instead please allow players who are airborne in aircraft and within a certain radius of the carrier to request the barrier net to be raised via the F10 radio menu. (and that that player's "barrier net" landing is added to the carrier-procedure queue and that no launches are allowed from the two rear catapults as soon as the barrier net is raised until that player has landed in the barrier.) Thank you.
  12. Up to ED programmers to judge, they know the many possible LOD-levels and netcode-syncing-logics stuff best.
  13. Maybe depends on the VR headset, a very strong screen door effect can cause specs (hostile aircraft, black dots in the sky) to become harder to spot than on a flat screen. But indeed the main advantage of VR over TrackIR should be the 10x better immersion of "feeling" where your jets' nose is actually pointing at while you're twisting your head far up or anywhere really. And yes, in the past I really have met pilots who claimed TrackIR is better than VR . . . (Maybe due to increased fps? ) Good point but imo not as important as the VR thing since we can assume almost all players who survive 30 minutes on a PvP server to use HOTAS or at least Joystick anyways.
  14. Who uses iTunes to listen to music? Even implementing a button in DCS that copies a YouTube link into the Windows clipboard would be way too hard to program, DCS would need access to the webbrowser that you're listening YouTube in... VR config however should be very easy to fetch, since the VR headsets are listed in device manager, and I guess it's even possible to fetch the state of the device (whether activated or deactivated in device manager) and checking if SteamVR is running or not
  15. Thanks so much! You're my hero! Now I can't wait for ejected-canopy-collision on TF-51 as next feature... turning TF-51s into 1-shot fighter aircraft
  16. Oh come oooon guys...... what do you mean by "what proof the radar fluid is" though? (strange english)
  17. It would be awesome when we can see on PvP servers which users are using VR and TrackIR at that very moment, 1. to see if one team is stacked with VR/TrackIR players vs. the other team almost purely using joystick coolie-hat for view-control for example, and 2. to see after a dogfight whether the killed player or the player who shot you down was using VR/TrackIR at the time. It would also finally allow us to collect statistics on whether VR pilots are better pilots than TrackIR- or coolie-hat players (and to confirm this theory once and for all). Thank you.
  18. Is set to x16. "4" in the config is the 4th setting it seems.
  19. carrier landing lights (deck) are only rendering at super close zoomlevel at night Graphics settings (options.lua):
  20. No no, I meant the real Tomcat pilots. Now that I think of it, maybe a DLC malfunction could have heavy consequences for flightcontrol and maybe it malfunctioned sometimes, so maybe that was the reason the engineers added an extra key, so that pilot could also instantly disable it again
  21. No, it's not by my thumb on my Thrustmaster T.16000 stick...
  22. Thank you impact! Now I also remember Chizh's message, thanks!
  23. No small ones yet, only big useless ones from multiplayer.
  24. Oh true. Could it also be fuel pump not able to deliver fuel to engine below certain fuel level and when airplane is parked on a hill-slope for example?
  25. Interesting that DLC isn't enabled by default... And it's an extra switch the pilots needed to know
