something is dropping the fps in the apache to half..in my case its solid 60 then poof 30...then bounces back to 60.anyone else notice this? I was testing it on instant action weapon range caucuses.

one way "sort of" around it is to increase sensitivity of axis settings in dcs...that way it takes little pressure to do great roll/pitch moves.

I bought them separate, throttle for hog and stick for f-18...using them in conjunction with the X-55 rhino ...so hog throttle with x-55 stick for A-10,...Hog throttle with f-18 stick for F-15E...X-55 throttle with F-18 stick for F-18....and straight X-55 for Ah-64 and F-16...…I know...….just asking for trouble in the muscle memory dept.

Thanks for the reply...I just wasn't expecting it to be such a workout to fly the f-18...I gonna look like the hulk on my right arm in a few weeks. I'm not sure how much force is required...I may have underestimated the pounds...It could be more like 6-8 lbs pressure..I really don't know. But its gonna hurt after a few hours flyin I bet.

Question to Thrustmaster F-18 stick owners...I just received it yesterday...Is it normal for it to be so stiff, I estimate the force to be around 3-4 lbs pressure to move it (I'm coming from the Saitek rhino X-55) the difference is night and day. And if it is normal ,is there a way to lessen the tension? an adjuster of some sort? Can I use lithium grease on the base or should I just work it in with use?

Infantry animation smokes like a vehicle when hit. A tall column of smoke is attached to individuals.

You need to add alot more polygons to that new sight...it looks like crap...like 1990's graphics. not present DCS standards at all IMO.

How robust are the joy 1 and joy 2 push buttons(not the forward /aft /up/ down axis, but the push function) on the throttle??...I'm a new user and I'm worried its something that will wear out pretty fast. Any opinions on the likely hood that will happen? they seem like it would go dead fairly quickly

yup seems you can dance with her more now...BUT...george can't fly worth a sh*t and will kill ya quick if told to maneuver out of danger at low altitudes humph...but he does exceptionally well at slow low using H.B mode.....hmmmm

This in OUR experience is NOT the case,...we can fly everyday for a week and struggle to stay alive without the machine killing us every other flight...then a patch comes out and its fine...then we maybe fly another week and a patch comes out and its a nightmare...then its patched and its fine again...then another patch and its squirrelly as F...we DON"T fly it for a week or two due to frustration....it gets patched.... and we fly it like we're seasoned apache pilots it and totally OWN the beast. And the cycle continues....it's been a rollercoaster ride. As of yesterday...it's been user friendly and good to fly. Handles like I'm in control not it...........so far..........

I think people are missing the point...the differences in the "handling" are VERY noticeable between pre and post patch. To the point that it's become a hazard to fly. This needs to be addressed by either fixing the flight model or telling us what settings we need to refine to compensate. If its a center of gravity thing or whatever ... we need to know exactly what been adjusted or we just end up chasing our tails.

To put it simply before vs after patch....I'm more fearful of the apache itself flying it than I am of the enemy I'm engaging. That should speak volumes.

Which I did months ago...but it seems every patch of late changes the way that calibration behaves...so what's the point.And as you can see by the post above, I'm not alone.

Seems to me to be a twitchy hot mess now they need to publish what hotas setup they are calibrating the FM too....that would shed some light on what the FM is supposed to do vs what its doing on our systems.

KH-25T is not tracking in mission. It just plows into the ground. but when using it in training mission it finds target as it should. tempMission.miz.trk

smoke rockets on the apache...how long should they last producing smoke???...at the moment they stop about 1-2 seconds on the ground...this correct?

For those that don't know, its night and day difference between last weeks FM and the patched version...I went from killing myself to killing migs in a dogfight...In a 4v4 I got 3 of em which was not possible for me in the old version. Having a ball now with it.
