  1. +1 for the throttle......that’s what the hardware world needs, more replica throttle quadrants
  2. Chains would still be cool for parked static aircraft
  3. +1
  4. Probably going to stop selling the warthog set soon....what is it around $400ish for the set. Instead they’ll move to sell everything individually...$230 grip, probably $100 base, probably $250 throttles. They’d significantly up the price while marketing “customization”. Kinda shady for a product that hasn’t really changed in years but hey smart on the bean counters.
  5. Which I’m sure would still be an option but I think there are a lot that like the realism factor of the whole process.....isnt the enhanced realism the whole point of the carrier module?
  6. If I read it right, the only animated crew with be for launches....the rest is static crew at least for EA. That would be a huge bummer if animated crew weren’t implemented for everything for the final release.....something like an option screen for mission builders so they can designate what cats are in use that way in game you can have animated start crew at you parking spot, animated crew directing you to the active cat and so on....... Can anyone comment if this is supposed to happen for the final product (animated crew for more than just launch)?
  7. Why would they do a new stick.....which is essentially the same.....they should have put the time and effort into new thrust levers...say an F/A-18 or F-14.
  8. Great work ED, looks awesome!
  9. We’re excited for it! Day 1 buy for sure! Thanks for doing it!
  10. I do believe Wags had posted somewhere though that it’s coming
  11. Yeah hadn’t seen that......that blows. It makes sense that they won’t release the manuals but everyone knows what it is......a 500 that some cigar smoking bada** pilot was like “you know what we should do....throw some rockets and machine guns on that MFer” :megalol:
  12. I don’t know about that, it’s basically a Civillian MD-500D with an upgraded engine, 7 shot rocket pods and 2 miniguns, and the FLIR camera.....I don’t see anything on it that would really be hard to get info on.... Could be wrong but it’s a fairly basic aircraft, it what the SOAR guys do with it that makes it so wicked awesome.
  13. I can personally confirm this (aircrew or a small team of Forward Observers).... super uncomfortable as well, but it would be cool to have a mission where you picked up a downed crew and it be modeled.
  14. Anyone think it’d be cool to have a MH-6/AH-6 Module and a Black Hawk Down Campaign for it? Awesome helicopter with interesting missions!
  15. Any bets on if we’ll get some more info on the Carrier Module for this weekend’s update.....
  16. Let’s hope so, I’d take one as well as some add on grips if they made them which I’d think wouldn’t be hard.
  17. +1
  18. Can anyone that has been in touch with Winwing confirm or deny if they plan to sell the throttle/ ops panel without the joystick? Also has anyone asked if they plan to make other throttle handles that can be switched out, like the F-14?
  19. Oh nice, thanks for the link!
  20. That makes a lot of sense..... And guys don't get me wrong I'm very thankful that we have a sim as awesome as DCS, just want to see it get better....
  21. from what I gather cruising these forums, it seems the profit strategy is frequently releasing new modules to generate profit with slow progress to finish the project or make core updates. I’m not sure if that’s totally true but that’s the impression I have from ready many commentaries on the subject. Personally I think the strategy is flawed to a degree is it seems to create quite a bit of frustration, even from big fans. Releasing modules often that add to the experience even if not complete (Early Access) I have no issue with. Things like asset packs, maps, the carrier module (which if ED doesn’t release or pre order before Christmas they really are messing up), these all add something new but are the rarest and seemingly least frequent releases. But as I’ve commented elsewhere, it might be getting a little ridiculous that they keep releasing aircraft with Fighter and Attack roles, they’re all similar, different look and switches......drops basically the same bomb or fires a similar missile. Don’t get me wrong ED and DCS World are amazing but the strategy has me scratching my head a bit and as a fan, I don’t want to get burnt out over incomplete products or core elements that are falling behind the pace of technology/graphics. Honestly I don’t know the answer for a fix, a lot of guys don’t seem to like the idea of subscription pay but the money does have to come from somewhere.....I honestly don’t know how they are making it work even at $80/module unless the community is way bigger than I realize. Just my thoughts....
  22. Cool thanks for the explanation....yeah figured it wouldn’t really have much functionality at this point but it’s good to hear progress toward sub warfare
  23. Anyone notice Silver Dragons post in the unofficial roadmap about Subs being able to submerge? The post referenced a Russian post but I don’t speak Russian. Anyone had a chance to play with subs going under yet?
  24. Having the Rift S, it is a whole new level of immersion thought would be hard to go back to 2D from. On the other hand the graphics are not as good as Track Ir with a sweet monitor......that dude Spudkncker has some sweet graphics with his setup. My vote would be VR + HOTAS if you could swing it.
