  1. Have to agree with Cowboy10uk here... Sure, I will probably buy all new aircraft as they get released regardless but that doesn't make the bonus system any more logical. Why have it in the first place if it doesn't do any good to a large group of loyal DCS fans?
  2. Mine was restored automatically.
  3. Thanx for the info! Initially I was pretty upset with ED. First came the removal of the bonus points and then this. As a $50 backer I also disliked all the 'fanboyistic' forum comments like "you should have known $50 was too cheap for six flyables". Well, I didn't buy planes. I backed a project. Period. Well, well... **** happens. That's a fact. And the brown stuff came down on this project like a torrential downpour. The situation at hand is what it is and I really think it is time to move on. DCS WW2 is still alive. Perhaps not kicking. But alive. At the end of the day that is all that matters. Just my two cents.
  4. If this was to happen I would put a framed picture of your avatar beside my bed! :cheer3nc:
  5. I pledged to get all flyables + alpha access and sure, perhaps I can understand why I can't get all the planes given the current situation (doesn't mean I'm overly happy about it though...). But removed alpha access? I'm sure I'm not the only one that added a few bucks just to get that. And surely alpha access won't cost ED anything? What makes me a bit annoyed is that there would probably not have been a DCS WW2 anytime soon to begin with without RRG and this crowdfunding debacle. All of us that backed it DID take a risk. Just wish that risk had paid off a bit more since our gain is less than on the average Steam sale (I actually paid LESS than $25 for the disc version of the P-51D at a Gamestop sale here in Sweden).
  6. My old Xbox LIVE 'V' community rank used to impress the nerds quite a bit as well... :D
  7. Well, I would have spent mine if I there was anything to spend it on... Or was the idea that I should buy the same stuff twice? DCS is good, but it's not THAT good.
  8. If I'm not mistaken they changed Hotmail to Live. As a former Microsoft MVP this is the first time I've heard about using "internal email" for receiving codes and similar. Over the years MS have sent me loads of codes (mostly for games under strict NDA's) to my email on a domain owned by myself. And that has never been a problem.
  9. Beautiful: Butt-ugly:
  10. MSI Nvidia GTX 680 Lightning
  11. First I want to say that I buy the DCS products to support ED. I own every module except the Mi-8 since helos are not my thing (eventhough I own both BS2 and the UH-1). I purchase modules because I like what ED and the 3rd party devs tries to do in a market flooded with craptastic AAA-games. For that reason I backed DCS WW2 as well. With that said, how on earth can anyone with a fully working brain come up with such a useless bonus system?!? This is not about the money as such, but about semi-false promises. I'm sure a lot of customers, myself included, thought they could use this 'loyalty bonus' to purchase the Mig-21 etc. As it turns out, the only thing the bonus was good for was to purchase the same stuff twice... Who came up with that brilliant idea?!? It makes no sense whatsoever. It sure is a strange way to handle a loyal customer base...

    Release??

I'm pretty sure this is closer to the truth...
  13. The important stuff here are: * The planes * The Normandy scenario * Alfa+beta access * Map SDK
  14. There seems to be a lot of intrigue going on behind the scenes at the 3rd party devs. Wonder how this affects the alpha access we chipped in for? Will we be able to alpha test each aircraft or will we get access first when Normandy gets closer to release?
  15. None, I'm afraid... At least no options that would make sense in economic terms given the amount of money I pitched.
  16. Great news Isegrim! Thanx for sharing!
  17. Found this today and thought it might interest a few of you: http://www.flugmuseum-messerschmitt.de/Me109G4/360Cockpit/ Can't remember seeing it here before...
  18. That was a joke right? http://www.faa.gov/news/fact_sheets/news_story.cfm?newsId=6762 http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-13-854_en.htm
  19. I live in Sweden and used to work in England. Sometimes I flew with Ryanair that is on that list, and sure they are cheap. But you get what you pay for. I prefer KLM, British Airways and Scandinavian Airlines eventhough the ticket price is higher. There has also been some debate here in Scandinavia about Ryanair not letting their pilots rest enough between flights etc.
  20. Found another annoying bug and don't know if it has been reported: When flying the 1.2.8 Su-33 in multiplayer all radio transmissions, previously being made between player and ATC etc gets displayed on screen after a while, covering most part of the left side of it. There doesn't seem to be a way to remove it while flying (exiting radio menu does not affect it...). Occurance seems random but frequent enough to be disturbing...
  21. (1.2.8 ) Funny but not very realistic: Did a really bad landing with the Su-33. Overshot the runway and ended up skidding of into the terrain at the end of it. Took no damage to either undercarriage or the plane itself. Eventhough I was nowhere near the actual airport I got got all airport services to work. A few minutes later my flying buddy managed to reproduce it on another airport.
  22. Yes I do use TrackIR5... That might be the reason since it won't work in the Su-25T either. Thanx!
  23. See... I knew I was missing something!:pilotfly:
