no longer works The Ultimate DCS World JSGME Guide - If you use mods, you need this.
DieHard replied to Ebs's topic in DCS Modding
Only problem is, in DCS Multiplayer are the servers that use the Integrity Check; most my mods won't pass the IC. For WWII multiplayer, I switched back to Aces High out of Texas : http://www.hitechcreations.com/ -

Why buy new aircraft when DCS and the 3rd party guys don't fix or complete the broken stuff? Every time there is a new patch update I have to get into the program to fix stuff; really getting tired of having to do this. DCS just may be losing a customer! I like DCS, but not if this crap continues.

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
DieHard replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
If you have the aircraft modules. A-10 not C version, not that great. I am not a FC3 fan and I have it. I'll pass. There are other servers and other sims. -

How many of you regularly fly medium/heavy bombers?
DieHard replied to Geronimo989's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Me too, flew all the bombers in Aces High, the 1st decade of 2000. Came to DCS in 2011 and still. Just went back to Aces High---their online MP on a weekend night can be over a hundred guys! While the Europe servers are sleeping, Texas, USA is still awake! I like both sims. A B-17 mission sortie from England to a European target and return can take hours! Aces High gets into it, real immersion. -

Any chance of at least ONE MP Normandy server having full labels?
DieHard replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in Multiplayer
There is at least one out there in MP and very low ping for me at 32. Has to be fairly close by to NY State, USA. They mix it up with AI enemy and live people. Also, not too bad frame rates for me. http://www.raf662.org/ Their TS3 IP address is southern, Pennsylvania, USA -
YES! I map 2 keys on my CH Products Fighterstick : One to Pause Track-IR and another one to re-center its position. Then I mapped a joystick button for a glance view to my Pro Throttle using a Snap View. Interesting thing is, in 2.1.1 is almost impossible to get that view. I took the Snap View coordinates from my 1.5.7 setup, then inputted it manually using Notepad++ . Then copied my SnapViews.lua and stashed it in my My Documents under my Spitfire saves for backup.

How to adjust mirror in 1.5.7 Stable version, Caucasus terrain? Doable? Or is mirror broken in 1.5.7 and 2.1.1? I know in 2.1.1 "Mirror glance" is not working at all. In 1.5.7 "Mirror glance" view is mapped to a button. But I don't see my tail in the mirror. Do I need to adjust view' coordinates in Config? How to adjust? -+- 2.1.1 ==== My "Mirror glance" view is also the same as my custom "Snap View 4" which is my Gun Sight's close-up view. How do I change the mirror view? -+- Mirror works in this video dated December 2016. See about 2:40 into the video : ==================================================
-
My snap-view is almost the same as Sokol's. If you need mapping coordinates, just ask. I just remapped my setup from 1.5.7 to 2.1.1 by just inputting the same SnapViews.lua under Saved Games by inputting same manually using Notepad++ .

2.1.1 Starter and Booster Coil Buttons not Same as 1.5.7
DieHard posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
1.5.7 Caucasus Map Stable version : Delete Key = Starter - Button End Key = Booster Coil - Button and Home Key = Directional Gyro Course Increase - Rotary Dial Insert Key = Directional Gyro Course Decrease - Rotary Dial - - I will try to remap keys, but bet won't pass IC in MP . -+- Will 2.1.1 (final release) be same as 1.5.7 (stable version) concerning Options / Controls setup? -
NumEnter for "Zoom normal" (Options Controls) - Spit IX
DieHard replied to DieHard's topic in Bugs and Problems
What I did was copy my Spit IX setup in Saved Games for my vanilla stable copy of DCS 1.5.7, its SnapViews.lua and printed out the numerical values for each. Brought those over to my DCS.openalpha 2.1.1 and input those values long-hand using Notepad++ . I fine tuned the Options / Controls "NumEnter" (Zoom normal) and saved it by keyboard Left Windows + NumEnter key and saved the new position with Right Alt + Numpad Zero keys. That did work OK as my new position numbers changed in my new SnapViews.lua in OpenAlpha. (I did not know that would work by creating a new (Zoom normal) view by the typical setting of Snap Views.) And passed the Burning Skies server's integrity check. Snap-Views How-To here (3 posts) : http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Snap_views and See Message #13 here : =============== https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187519&highlight=customizing+snap+views and My posting couple years ago concerning custom snap views for the Bf-109K-4 : ================================================ https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=140494&highlight=customizing+snap+views -
NumEnter for "Zoom normal" (Options Controls) - Spit IX
DieHard replied to DieHard's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thank you to both replies. I'll give it a go, and see what happens---experiment trial and error. -+- voodooman , Messages#9 and its Server.lua link, and #10 confirms what you told me above. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171850&highlight=Zoom%2Anormal The entire thread is an interesting read. from this search: "Zoom normal" https://forums.eagle.ru/search.php?searchid=15986161 Thanks -+- My reference notes... Did a search top of the main forums page ( https://forums.eagle.ru/index.php ) for any post mentioning "NumEnter" and quite a few posts for me to sift thru : (Google Chrome has a nice built in languages translator, though, I know, a bit to be desired not being exact translation. ) : https://forums.eagle.ru/search.php?searchid=15985997 1.) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3238051&highlight=NumEnter#post3238051 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3238332&postcount=11979 by USSR Rik -
I want to change the default position back a little bit for "Zoom normal" Numberpad - NumEnter . Where are the coordinate script values stored so I can change the location numbers?
-
Yes. But their negative attitude affects my future positive attitude's purchase decision concerning their future aircraft. P-51D has them!

Any chance of at least ONE MP Normandy server having full labels?
DieHard replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in Multiplayer
I am a fan >>> +1 Go read Chuck Yeager's first book with Leo Janos, about Chuck's excellent eye vision. https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1BOHD_enUS487US526&q=General+Chuck+Yeager+with+Leo+Janos%2Beyesight&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjFi4Hr1vzVAhUE6iYKHZX_CpgQBQglKAA&biw=1536&bih=736 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I truly love DCS, but as to a well manned WWII MP player base and Texas, USA based and low ping for me, I will be going back to Aces High. As to Multiplayer, DCS needs to do it better!! I still like and will play WWII DCS MP no matter what the conditions. Plan on doing both if my brain cells can keep up to the knowledge demand. -
"sound-radar"...official opinion on it?
DieHard replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Guys that lose most of the time, are the guys claiming, "Cheater!" . Fact is, these guys go into a fight not thinking clearly and acting foolish is why they get shot down frequently. -
For what it is worth, even if this different Labels.lua improves finding aircraft easier, it did not make it very easy for me spotting the guy coming at me trying to get on my tail. I had him zoomed in using my typical Hat view controls, I saw him coming while he was way out there, and very difficult to find him. The way most guys fly, seems they want to be shot down easy. Got to use tactics to win and walk away from a fight.
