Looking for Overclock Numbers for Asus Strix GTX 970
DieHard replied to DieHard's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Did not know about Kombustor. Thanks for the info. -
I understand, now. It is the LAST 10 minutes being omitted as the "Burning Skies" MP server says it does. So after landing, parking my aircraft and shutting down, I will allow an additional 15 minutes and go out for a walk before ending the mission. I will buy your Tacview Standard edition, then go from there. Thank you.

Is the Recording Session Limited to 30 Minute Segments? I am using the free trial version of the latest updated version. I see a 30 minute limit to the recording sessions. I was still flying when the recording ended. I went on and rtb and landed. Can this be adjusted to a longer recording session? Did test recordings on the "Burning Skies" WWII era MP server. -+- Same question, older Message, question was not really answered as to why a 25 minute only recording (unless I am not getting what you are saying) : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3034200&postcount=380 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3035642&postcount=382 Maybe the issue is server related. Will try a few different servers, see what happens to get a longer recording session.

Looking for Overclock Numbers for Asus Strix GTX 970 Using this article as a reference point: ======================== https://www.hardocp.com/article/2014/11/03/asus_gtx_970_strix_directcu_ii_video_card_review/3 Anybody care to embellish on a theme? What do guys with a similar build use? My CPU is a non - K version, i7-2600 using TurboBoost to 3.9 GHz DCS is on a SSD

I follow you guys with solutions if I encounter negative issues. You guys usually find workarounds to that end. I follow this guy's advice, usually weekly as to Windows Updates and such stuff. https://www.askwoody.com/ I have a Windows 7 machine and probably will not upgrade until I build a new machine. My Win 7 Updates have been going smoothly, lately. So, how is it going with Windows 10? When I build new, I always get Ed Bott's "Windows Inside / Out" for troubleshooting. https://www.google.com/search?q=Ed+Bott+Windows+Inside+%2F+Out&rlz=1C1BOHD_enUS487US526&oq=Ed+Bott+Windows+Inside+%2F+Out&aqs=chrome..69i57.28283j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Found this from doing a search concerning Bell Aircraft earlier this morning : http://wnyaerospace.org/?page_id=66 There are a few of us WWII era aircraft lovers in here, so thought some guys might be interested. Miscellaneous info concerning P-39 and its use in Russia =================================== http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=140

http://wikimapia.org/126651/Former-Bell-Aircraft-Factory#/photo/1449559 See photo 2 of the slide show of the P-39 assembly line. My father-in-law was born in 1909. When WWII started, he headed to the Bell factory and got a deferment because he was working for a defense plant and usually working double shifts. His whole time there was as a setup man in the wing fabrication department with women doing the work. Every P-39 built was painted with the Russian star paint scheme. Never knew where the plant was located, so did a search this morning. http://wikimapia.org/126651/Former-Bell-Aircraft-Factory Google Search : https://www.google.com/search?q=marilla+ny+country+store&rlz=1C1BOHD_enUS487US526&oq=Marilla%2C+NY&aqs=chrome.2.69i57j0l5.10562j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=bell+aircraft+location+in+buffalo,+ny&* Google Images : https://www.google.com/search?q=bell+aircraft+location+in+buffalo,+ny&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiQ5tLel_HSAhWDXiYKHWCLDXEQ_AUICCgD&biw=1229&bih=589 Read the 1st paragraph to get a feel how big this plant was. (Not interested in the asbestos side of the story; I've worked with it, too...) http://www.lipsitzponterio.com/jobsites-Bell_Aerospace_Niagara_Falls_Mesothelioma.html

Wait for a good deal when low price special sales occur. By that time a lot of the bugs are worked out positively, usually. As to 2.0 , 16GB ram is almost not enough, now! Will be interesting when the merge occurs.

Yes, that is what I meant, just did not say it. Is how I found this news article, did a Google search. Must be one of the ways the B-17 's crossed during WWII ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Atlantic_air_ferry_route_in_World_War_II and let' get complicated: Great Circle Navigation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great-circle_navigation Waypoint : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waypoint

http://www.nycaviation.com/2017/03/patrouille-de-france-soars-new-york-launching-us-tour/ Stewart International Airport is a close by Air National Guard base and commercial airport in Newburgh, NY, USA. Was wondering how they crossed the Atlantic Ocean. Did not know about yesterday's stopover. They will return April 22 and 23, 2017 for a private air show. I won't miss them, then. They are flying the Alpha Jet : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassault/Dornier_Alpha_Jet

My 2.0.5.3140 Alpha and 1.5.6.1938 Stable versions just updated to the most recent on today's updates.

I probably told this story before to DCS, somewhere. I was hiking solo, mid-week, in the NY State Catskill Mountains, early 1970's, to my favorite peak, there, Slide Mountain. 2 F-4 Phantoms come in from Stewart Air Force Base, Newburgh, NY to dogfight each other in the air space there. Man, what an air show, just for me! On their way out RTB I waved at the pilot of the lead plane and he waves back. Sweet! -+- 1974 I was Navy duty section out of the Seabee base to Port Hueneme directing traffic to the Point Mugu Naval Air Station in California. Had a front row seat at a great air show for free. Some of those aircraft came roaring in off the water, just feet above the ground, damn close to the sound barrier. -+- Was hiking in the NY State Adirondacks and had just climbed up on top of a knob overlook---"Nubble" below Giant Mountain. An A-10 flew BELOW us flying above the 2-lane road (Route 73) from the Northway 4-lane highway towards Keene Valley. He had to be stationed at Plattsburgh, AFB, then. I'm guessing 1980's. It is rare to be looking down at an aircraft when mountain hiking. I think the pilot was sight-seeing at low altitude. (My wife says my memory ain't what it used to be, but remembered that!)

At 20 minutes in has an interesting bit about cold engine start concerning a WWII era Corsair engine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPC51Mh-jtU (typo in title!)

The Burning Skies WWII server is 5 or 6 hours ahead of NY, USA. Seems like most of the guys are students or 1st shift daytime workers coming on late afternoon / early evening Eastern Time Zone. I worked second shift plus overtime for years. I am now retired but still on the night shift lifestyle. Few servers Europe or USA cater to night shift guys. Wee hours here, a lot of the servers shut down. 104th is always on and just a couple others with any guys to play against. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is any server still using 1.2.16? I doubt it. Might need to do a total re-install of the game, like getting a new PC.

I have been with DCS since FC2 about 2011 or earlier, not this username, then. I have never, yet, found a squad I liked, though was with Maddog's S77th crew for awhile. Once I learn the Mirage, S77th-Cooper invited me to fly F99th in 2.0 Nevada. He and I used to fly Ka-50 sorties together. Best way is to just try a squad out, see how it goes. I'd be happy just to have one guy as a wingman all the time and we get along and work together as mates. Been married 42 years >>> trust me, she and I are not always in agreement, but I think she does that for makeup time: flowers, candy, movie, dinner out or other... Squads or bigger? I like big azz missions with mission goals with strike guys supported by cap cover and not just mindless dogfighting all the time.

Is there any way to lessen a high ping rate? Only way I know is try a restart to maybe get a different path. I have Time-Warner RoadRunner Internet and my download speed is close to 300Mbps, upload about 30Mbps . The WWII MP server I like can vary 140 to 200 ping via PingPlotter with a little bit of packet loss in Europe.
-
Ping Current ping is 197 on your new server. I am in NY State, USA about 100 miles northwest NY City. My ping rate is too high for me. You have the best WWII server around. I won't be buying the new Normandy map. Porkchop, signing out!

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
DieHard replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
I have it. How do I use it? Why I dislike using a radio chat utility, like TS3, and (Simple Radio, I suspect also) is people don't talk strictly mission ops business and guys chit-chat nonsense---the equivalent of knitting dolls and playing with socks... -
+1 I think the guys with the edge live closer to the server and have faster PCs. My internet connection is second to none, but my ping is about 160. My CPU is i7-2600, a bit dated. -+- As to identifying the enemy? Get zoom in and out setup on your controller's buttons. No excuse, you can easily see who you are about to fire at.

(re: Messages #12 and #13) Thanks for the info. +1

"BF109 K-4 Audio Production 2.0 - DCSW Bf 109 K-4 Sound Mod" ======================================== Not JSGME compatible. Instead of trying to cope with something that seems broken, I am looking into various ways to film my sorties myself. I have Fraps but need to know if it will do external views on their premium purchase. Off the DCS Fighter Collection opening screen main page index, the right side column, REPLAY, with Exit at the bottom, this does not work for me. I did a repair for both versions 1.5 and 2.0 and still does not function as it is described in the DCS Users Manual. I can find the .trk files under Saved Games. How do I play these? I am not the only one complaining: ====================== https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183557&highlight=replay https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=178684&highlight=replay and just do a search... Is there a solution?

Does a clear glass canopy mod exist that works for 1.5.6 for Fw 190 ?
