If anyone wants to change the speed of traffic or trains. Or the types of cars on the road, or the length of the trains etc. Then you make changes in RouteTypes.cfg (backup the original file first). located in (..\Bazar\Terrain\Routes) If you want to fly and follow a highspeed train under the trainbridges. For example change the line with speed into "speed = 120;" at the bottom of the file, for the cargo and passenger trains. Ofcourse you need to have the option civil traffic on in the option menu to view the traffic. Have fun!

Downloadable: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/video/ Alternatively you could check youtube for instant watch of some videos. For example: http://www.youtube.com/user/eagledcs/videos Or just search your type of aircraft ofcourse :) You might find it better quality on youtube tough.

Lock On Digital Download
Cnuke replied to mingocr83's topic in Lock On v.1.0x and Flaming Cliffs v.1.1x
It is possible to buy the planes seperately without the requirements of installing lock on. A10A and SU25 are available and the F15C and Su27 will be released soon as well. All with updated 3D cockpits and updated flightmodeling. Bye  -
Make sure your windows install is error free before installing any software, checkdisk etc, (and dvd) repair feature of windows. I guess some files are corrupted. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html (A fresh install of windows can do wonders if really everything fails, if you backup important stuff ofcourse.) Have a read here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95562 http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3772670/2 http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/solved-application-was-unable-to-start-correctly-0xc000007b-636319.html

DCS World environmental shaders mod
Cnuke replied to Mustang's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks mustang. It does help a bit for me so far. I'll keep fooling around as well. Also I encountered, an error, a long diagonal line(tube) in one of the clouds, wondering where that comes from. Maybe a nice feature too, is that you can fly through tunnels in the clouds. -
DCS World environmental shaders mod
Cnuke replied to Mustang's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks for your mods. Is there a more subtle version for the clouds? This pic is from v3.01. I'm not sure it's only here on my pc. I can edit with notepad++ (so no need to update first post) -
Waiting for first discount on DCS: Mi-8MTV2
Cnuke replied to captainteemo's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I'm sleeping in front of the E-shop tonight and I have sold my pilotski watch to a stranger. -
The requirement for lock-on, is because ubisoft have the rights to the series. You can also purchase the aircraft individually without installing the original lock on. Now available are the A10A and the SU-25. The Su-27 and F15C are being released soon. For FC3, you only need the original lock-on installed. NO need of flaming cliff discs etc.

Are you holding your stick all the way back?

DCS 1.2.6 needs 64 bit OS , My guess is you have 32 bit OS installed. But post your system specs please. If that's the case revert to 1.2.5 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1876033&postcount=2 As I think that version is still 32 bit. But I'm not sure.

Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 activation in STEAM
Cnuke replied to maddabboyahoo.com's topic in Payment and Activation
You can download and install the FC3 module from the website here (1.2.6..) , by chosing the correct path to the steam install DCSWORLD. (need to have lock on installed first) But for this module you won't receive update support from steam. So when there is a new update, you have to do the above again with the newer patch version. -
Cool ! And dont exchange the lcd with your old CRT screen ^^ I hope DCS can be listed in any official rift supported gamelist or even better, being highlighted as the most realistic combat flightsimulator. The best advantages of advertisement via extremely popular hardware is it's applicable software packages. It's just one of those things you have to get in those early days for a big exposure.

Controlling helicopter with gamepad....
Cnuke replied to Rushup's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just find a good secondhand MS Siderwinder 2 force feedback stick <30$ You will love it! -
An idea could be that Ilya would setup a funding via paypal in an update on KS. - Only after the base goal 100k is reached. And funds added to kickstarter by Ilja just before it ends.

DCS Cockpit Textures with MIP Maps
Cnuke replied to zaelu's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Im very curious about your texture enhancement for the P51. The huey improved fps and reading text (at MSAA 2x) for me. As I have a 5850 and fortunately, radeon pro software has improved my tearing problem at 30 fps vsync. (enforcing tripple buffer directx) As AMD ccc is a bit lame with not giving these useful options. -
Well, if the engine like that is what we will get for DCS (well coded etc), it's a matter of time we have our own maps as stunning as those. (Ok, just the Corsica map. And we keep quiet xD)

Benefits of new CPU but same graphics card
Cnuke replied to Lascaille's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Current engine uses 1 core for audio and 1 core for everything else and it will run at 100%. So a better (intel) CPU with a high clock benefits extremely well. Memory is also a big point now. The latest dcs world patch requires at least 8 Gb+ as there is a problem with paging or a leak. I'm sure this will get fixed. A new engine is on it's way called EDGE. (I really have no clue what load it will ask from all the parts of the system). -
DCS WWII: Europe 1944: Kickstarter Video 3: EDGE Terrain Engine
Cnuke replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
(@Luthier1) Exactly, and this makes me hope that EDGE is not CPU core limited. Like 1 core audio, 1 core everything else as we have now. Basically the question is, is EDGE good coding for multi-threading and the use of all available cpu cores. Until now I haven't read it anywhere and I think it is such a strong promotional point. Wich makes me wonder why very much. Anyway it is a really nice update, thanks! -
I was just planning to play the Vegas mini-games down to my last chips :smilewink:

Get everything ! :) No, seriously take your time. You are gonna need it. Especially when studying any DCS quality aircraft. The flaming cliffs planes are not as complicated as the other DCS titles. I advice you to do a search on the internet for reviews and videos of the aircraft you might be interested in. You can also connect to not pw protected online servers, to have a general idea what other peoples interests are. And what online missions are ongoing. Also check out this wonderful future plan: As for Flaming cliffs 3 it is similar to your free SU-25T. With the exception that some planes have a fantasic 3D cockpit and the freedom to look around in it. Flaming cliffs 3 needs a copy of the old Lock-on to be installed (wich you have to search for yourself). After Flaming cliffs 3 is installed you can delete lock on from your disk. FC3 installs like other modules into DCS World I suggest looking at the A-10C, as it is truly amazing to be able to learn all the systems yourself with being able to click on all the switches

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Cnuke replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
I got the huey but I'm lost in transition to a very fixed wing aircraft. (Scotty don't blush :) ) -
Everyone can understand the feeling of paying the full price and seeing it on a discount not much later. But think of people who cannot afford it or don't get other modules otherwise(next time around you get a nice deal yourself who knows). Also put your mind on the support of developing DCS. (In comparison, other gamestudios often don't listen to their customers and letting you purchase the same but newer product every year or so). At this point of time we maybe see a speed-up in development with every party involved. Our full priced module will shine even more in upcoming newer settings(maps, better graphic engine? etc.) Lastly, the more players, the better the series become. With in mind the hope that ED developers are fed (not fat^^), getting a salary and treated well :)
