Having it on a rotary would be good imo as a pilot. Even if you had to do 4-5 complete revolutions it would be closer to the real mechanic ? but I think that would be preferable to people who use Rift alot or have home build cockpits.....oh I wish.... Pman

Very interesting thoughts... I'll bear that in mind Pman

well progress has been made, the new server is up and is going through install testing etc, we are looking to put the beta on it but are coming up against some rather strange errors with 1.5 at the moment. Work is continuing, if we can't iron the issues out we will go back to 1.2.16, not ideal but its now at the point we want the server back up asap Pman & the VA Team

Thanks Guys, we generally have alot of fun flying these routines and it is extremely challenging at times that's for sure. Nice to see you guys enjoy what we do! Pman

I can't comment on the Hawk vs L39 actual performance and I really haven't tried. However AI performance is in no way related to an AFM, all AI aircraft use a form of SFM Pman

Video of our Performance today :) And from the Great Warbirds Historic Flight on Friday :)

Yeah there is one at Cosford, which I have gone and done reference photos of already. I've got a good relationship with the raf museum. However it greatly depends on the demand for something like a 410 as to if it would get done. Time will tell. Pman

Just a quick note on formation flying, I fly Right wing for the Virtual Horsemen (if you havent seen our videos look here : ) We have also had long conversations with the Real Bremont Horsemen and they have tried formation in DCS and they have said to us that the Sim is harder then real life in their opinion (also abit of mine as well being a real life pilot). Dan Friedkin has said to us several times, as have the others, that what we do is harder then what they do due to the lack of feel and depth perception. Pman

The point being that he told me the same thing as Erich ;) although for operational reasons they have different processes Pman

Funny you should say that as I was sharing a beer with the pilot of Airbus's 109 at Flying Legends :) Pman
-
From my conversation with him he intimated less then 2 seconds, more like 1 second from idle to full beans. I will go with his record over events over any paper document, after all he had to put his own life on the line flying the real ones :) Pman

Erich told me the same also when I had the pleasure of meeting him. Pman

G-2 gets my vote Pman

As above, if you brought it outside of steam then the key will not activate through steam. There is no way to import it into it. You will have to purchase the module again to get it into steam. AFAIK there is big red writing warning of this on the product pages :) Pman

Sorry that response irks me. I have been working tirelessly to sort this out and it may be dissapointing to you but it has been devastating to those of us who have dedicated over 2 years to the VA. Not too mention the vast cost of running the server, website and Teamspeak Pman

I sent them a very stroppy email this morning Am awaiting a reply Pman

Nope not in our release schedule, this was a private mod from years ago Not in any of our plans to do a Corsair or a P-38 Pman

Isn't this getting a little side tracked? If people want one so bad then there is the option of making your own 3rd party team and creating it yourself :) Pman

I for one can't wait :) Looking good guys Pman

Congratulations to all the winners from VEAO Simulations :) Pman

Ok Guys, Having spent all evening working on the server it is back up, PLEASE be careful with it :P I can't 100% guarantee that it will be stable right away as I had to do alot of work to get the server back up. I will be monitoring as much as I can over the next few days, but if there is some downtime I apologise in advance, I am doing the best I can with it at the moment :) Pman

Just an update, Plans are afoot to bring the server back early next week Appreciate the patience of everyone, the overwhelming support we have received has spurred Rock and I on to resolve this issue. Keep tuned... Pman

### SERVER STATUS UPDATE ### Hello all, We've received a lot of questions over the last couple of days asking where the server has gone. Unfortunately, as we were at Duxford, we've been unable to respond to all of these messages or do anything to remedy the situation. Now we're back home, we want to address the situation.. A couple of weeks ago, our hosts made us aware that they no longer wanted to support the package that we were using. When our current contract expired (This weekend), they would not be renewing it. They did offer us a choice of their other plans but, due to the requirements of DCS, none were suitable. We're currently looking for an alternative, cost effective, way of hosting the server. Currently, we do not know when/if this will happen. On average, the VA server is using around 40GB of data per day, this rules a lot of packages out there as they're just far too expensive to consider. We're sorry for the inconvenience and we'll be back if we can find a sensible way of hosting our server. The Virtual Aerobatics Team.
