  1. Hey Guys The F-4 was on my prelim list some time ago but it never appeared on our roadmap. There are two reasons we can never do it, one is there are still arms restrictions on F-4 aircraft and training aides (Yes DCS comes under a training aide) And second when I attempted to talk to someone about it for licensing purposes I was told that I could do it no problem if the military signed off on it. I got a very polite thanks but no thanks so that was the end of it. That doesnt mean that ED or someone else might not do it, but thats the end of the subject for us. Pman
  2. They have been sold to a UK buyer 6 Buchons, a twin stick buchon. a P51D and a Mk IX Spitfire was the core of the collection. A Buchon that hadnt moved since 1973, started on the 6th blade first time after fuel and oil were added would you believe! Pman
  3. No it is not, or he wouldn't have been allowed to post it here for one thing ;) Pman
  4. Its a nice mod, I can understand from doing the stuff with VA how hard is can be to establish a community :) To be fair to Taker the subject of the SS in question was the Mig, the scenery just happened to be in the background :) Pman
  5. AMD GPU's generally dont run DCS as well as Nvidia ones. This is due to AMD abandoning Dx9 development some time ago Pman
  6. I got pointed in the direction of this post by a member of the community. Just for the record VEAO will never do kickstarter nor accept funds from a social fund raising project towards an aircraft. I can appreciate the desire in the community to get "their" plane in dcs but we can't do everything ;) As for the other devs I don't know I can only speak for VEAO. Besides we have enough on our roadmap without adding more to it! Pman
  7. I've known Taker a while (Hey Bud) and I have to say that he is a massively helpful guy and very genuine. I think the mentality of some of the posters in this thread could actually make thier decision a wise one. Founding a community is not easy. So I'd ask guys that are not a member of thier community to respect their decision. Pman
  8. Yea they did, as has Stephen Gray, Nick Gray, Alan Wade, Steven Hinton, Matt Nightingale, Steveo Hinton (Current Reno champion, in a mustang), Brian Smith, Carl Schofield and Pete Kynsey to name current display pilots who I've witnessed first hand take off, fly and land the Mustang Those are just the names off the top of my head and don't include non display authorised but Capable Mustang pilots. So it may feel wrong to you but I'll take thier word for it especially when Nick know more about Dcs then I do as well lol. Re the rear tank, most were removed after they were sold from the military, 99% of the single sticks kept the tanks while in active service iirc Pman
  9. Im not even going to get into the things you high light other than the fact that I have witnessed first hand 11+ full time display pilots who fly the Mustang and have said that the modelling is accurate. Also see this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=111388 Sorry to say it but your experience in a nose wheeled Cessna is almost irrelevant, the only time in my flying I have found anything close to relevant is when I fly the super cub. Pman
  10. Difference here is that we have to model the MRTT anyway and get it functioning as a tanker for Dcs for Typhoon or you have no refueling for tiffie Jury is still out on Jag, sorry no changes on that front Pman
  11. The number of man hours to do something like that to DCS levels is astronomical. Tanker and Cargo maybe, AWACS I'm sorry is out of the question for us Pman
  12. Yes thats right, We started looking into it as we needed a tanker for the Typhoon as the current western tanker wont refuel it. It sorta grew from there that if we are going to make a tanker anyway, why not look at making it a flyable aircraft, this is obviously dependent on us being able to get multicrew working correctly etc etc Dont think I'd go that far, but alot of my choices are themed etc Pman
  13. How long? Answer not very :P Be near a field/road/airfield :P Pman
  14. Absolutely, It was a stunning weekend, Met alot of people who were very receptive to DCS and the sim in general. Im sure there are even a few photos lurking around as well! Going to miss Duxford for a few weeks until we are back for more research for the Spitfire XIV! Pman
  15. Sorry you cant be there mate Will see you soon hopefully, are you going to Old Warden in October? Pman
  16. Hey Guys, Catch a first glimpse of our P-40F in DCS on The Fighter Collection Diary! I think you will agree she is looking drop dead gorgeous! Pman http://fighter-collection.com/cft/tfc-diary/
  17. I'd encourage all of you to have a look at our Dev roadmap ;) Pman
  18. Yeah just to clarify This indicates that you generate 1 activation back every 30 days Not that you need to use one every 30 days So if you hit zero for whatever reason after 30 days you get one back Pman
  19. Some great screenies guys! I've linked to this thread on our FB page, lets see what else we get come through :) Pman
