  1. +1 I've heard it said here many times. You're never in formation, just always trying to get into formation.
  2. There could be many reasons why it doesn't recover as fast in the video. It was a testing model so maybe weight or design was tweaked before it went into production? A slightly incorrect flight model in DCS? I honestly don't know.
  3. Could be a bad track playback then. Anyway, what I did was bring the throttle to idle then push down and either left or right on the stick and full rudder in the same direction as the stick. Should put you in a spin no time. But just like in the video the A-10 wanted to recover pretty quick so when you release the controls it should stabilize by itself pretty quick.
  4. That's odd. What version of DCS are you on?
  5. Looks like a flat spin. I can do it with the Eagle's current FM, but never tried the A-10's. I'll later tonight with the A-10C. Got around to it quicker than I thought. Something like this? flat spin.trk
  6. Anti skid is like anti lock for your brakes. You want that on as it allow better control when you are stopping especially during icy weather and it will reduce wear on the tires, reducing the chance of a blowout. Of course you shouldn't be needing to worry about runway distance if you land at the right speed anyway unless it's an emergency.
  7. It works fine for me with each update. No buying or reactivating the module. Just let the auto updater run and it should work. You don't get a new serial number with each download. You only get one when you purchase it.
  8. What exactly are you doing to get this problem?
  9. As far as the manuals go, if you already have a tablet or even a smartphone you can reference them on there. There's a link somewhere with cropped manuals that work beautifully with Android and iOS devices.
  10. I agree with you Eno on the bomb damage not doing area damage yet. I wasn't sure if they were supposed to though with this beta.
  11. The fuel tank logic seems to b incorrect for all aircraft, not just the F-15. It doesn't work as it should in the A-10C either.
  12. When you're too busy playing DCS to worry about a date. These are two I've actually done irl, except with my brothers and friends.
  13. The only scenario I can really think of is if you got shot and lost one of your main boost pumps and forgot to turn on the xfeed switch, so you have a major imbalance, or one of your main fuel tanks is leaking. In either case you do not want to be flying with a large imbalance as was mentioned earlier, it will cause major center of gravity problems and make it much less stable in flight. Something you don't want, especially when trying to land.
  14. You may need to do port forwarding on your router. Also, when you say you gave him your IP do you mean internal or external? Internal IP will have something like 192.168.xxx.xxx in most cases.
  15. AGM-65s are used for long range weapons on the A-10. They out range almost every SAM except for Sa-10, Sa-11, and Patriot. You're better off leaving those 3 for SEAD platforms most of the time. Watch out for Sa-15s since they will destroy incoming missiles. You will have to fire two in rapid succession to destroy it.
  16. Decoys exist in the real world too.
  17. They go on in the daylight for me. Never tried night time.
  18. It would also bleed off a lot of the missile's energy too since it's trying to match your turn. But it has no more energy left, while you still have your engines to help power you through it.
  19. Yes the jamming pod works. It has worked against other players prior to 1.2.7, but all it does is deny range information. In 1.2.7, they are also effective against SAMs in that they do help break a lock. I've had it work in an F-15, A-10C, and Su-25T.
  20. Yeah I get that too. Works fine in 1.2.6, but in 1.2.7, something is broken with it.
  21. Chill, it was a simple question. If you can't answer it without being rude then don't waste your time with a reply.
  22. Yup. We just need to be patient for a while until ED develops the basic structure of the sim. AFMs are being developed and the core structure of the program is being improved. 32-bit support was dropped recently which should allow for more freedom to develop and the graphical engine is getting released, hopefully sometime this quarter.
  23. It might just be faster to torrent the whole installation sometimes if you have a fast enough Internet connection. If you're talking about modules, I think ED is doing away with the separate installers for those, but not sure about it. It's much simpler (but a bit slower) to use the mod manager from the menu bar on the launch screen. I think you can still download the modules from the website though.
  24. Alright, thanks guys for the answers! I guess that answers that. I was hoping for a little more punch from the Huey, but I'll have to wait until the Cobra.
