Connected by wireless or cable? If you haven't tried a cable maybe that's something to try.

Nice find Eno. Hopefully that will help Mark.

Nice awjudge.... Posted right before me.

Sounds like your screen resolution may be set so that the buttons are off to the side. You could try setting the resolution lower/higher in the following file: C:\Users\[WinUserName]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua
-
Another method, go to: C:\Users\[WinUserName]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua Search for "fullScreen" in the file. It says True or False depending on the current setting.

Windows 2012 virtual server and DX11BACKEND.DLL issues

On our test server looks like once I start a mission it hangs on the splash screen or loading screen on the server side. Players can join and fly without issue though. The server just doesn't want to show the mission. -

Pelmo, standard RDP was not an issue. I did not need to TightVNC. As far as lowering resolution, just do that in the option settings in game. I did not see that you tried the registry change. Check that out and you may be good. -

Thanks for sharing that in the first place. I think that registry tweak will fix a lot of server operators issues. -

Great news folks! The SU25 menu skin tweak worked. We are able to get into the main screen now. @Falcon - Lowest resolution and window mode was already set before I posted to this thread. -

Thanks guys. I'll probably set the SU25 background tonight and see if that helps. I really appreciate everyone's effort to assist on Server 2012 / DCS 1.5 issues. -
Windows 2012 virtual server and DX11BACKEND.DLL issues
sslechta replied to goosemilk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
So Falcon, been playing around with that registry setting. No luck getting the main menu on for long. I saw some posts about the cloud background and changing it to a module background. Have you seen a way to do this through a lua file? I think that's the next hurdle in getting this server up. -
Windows 2012 virtual server and DX11BACKEND.DLL issues
sslechta replied to goosemilk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Falcon, thanks for the info. The key entry extended the time the splash screen stays on and kept it from crashing but it just hangs there indefinitely now. I get a real brief main menu then the splash screen comes back and stays on. During the whole process all the CPUs are just maxed out. I may play around tomorrow with lowering that registry value down to 5 seconds and see if that helps at all. Hopefully ED is looking at the DX11 issues. -

Hey Falcon. In our cases we are using servers. I'm not sure if that registry value would still be valid or not on server 2012. What OS are you using? -
Windows 2012 virtual server and DX11BACKEND.DLL issues

Hey Hijack. Attached pic shows the editor, file location, and contents of the config file. Updated to the patch released yesterday and still having the crash issues when all 8 CPUs max out on splash screen at startup. Attached DCS.Log, CRASH, DMP, DX DIAG. Check out the "Diagnostics" portion of the DX Diag. Still a lot of DX11 errors from dx11backend.dll even with the newest patch. Windows 2012 virtual server and DX11BACKEND.DLL issues
sslechta replied to goosemilk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Hijack, So I've tried to put the AutoExec.cfg in these locations: - C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Config - C:\Users\[WinUser]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config per the graphics_readme.txt I've also tried to put it in this file: - C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Config\graphics.lua Regardless of where I've tried to locate the AutoExec I'm still getting DX11 errors in the logs (attached). Similar to Goosemilk, we're on Server 2012, but have 32 Gig RAM and newer system specs. Also on C++ 2013 and have run repair on that between app crashes. Also have the .NET stuff activated in Server Manager. Windows 2012 virtual server and DX11BACKEND.DLL issues
sslechta replied to goosemilk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Goose, we've had the same issues trying to get Virtual Aerobatics going again too on 1.5. Works well on 1.2. I'll try other remote tools as was suggested above but no luck getting it going. We've closely followed the posts on C++, DirectX, memory leak issues and are still having a hard time. EDIT: TightVNC made no difference. All 8 processors max out at nearly 100% during splash screen load while memory is barely utilized. -
Hi Xcom. All you need to do is change your mouse click coordinates for the locations of the new buttons from 1.5. Should work fine after that.

Hey Rivvern, Grimes is referring to this post: Slmod- multiplayer server mod for new mission logic functionality http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80979&page=25 There's a lot of server admins out there patiently waiting. Stay tuned......

You can try and adjust the resolution manually from the options.lua file to get back on track. Located here: C:\Users\[uSER ACCOUNT]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua Set these to a lower resolution than you currently have: ["height"] = 1080 ["width"] = 1920 See if that at least allows you to re-launch the sim and set the resolution to what you want.
