  1. I simply go to the F10 map and draw a line from my current position to the airport I want. That gives me distance and heading. I point my plane in the correct direction and tab through the airports until I get a match that shows the heading tick on my HUD with the correct distance in the lower right of HUD.
  2. Sound died on my Win 8.1 install. I reinstalled DirectX per BigNewy's recommendation too and got sound back. Thanks!!
  3. ThrustMaster T.Flight Hotas X curves for my F-15C Pitch curve = 49 Roll curve = 49 Yaw curve = 0 Deadzone = 3 I use my curves mostly for formation flying and not battle.
  4. That's my sweet spot for getting to Mach 2.5 as well, the 37,000 Ft range.
  5. Yup, I tested by fueling with an almost full tank to replicate.
  6. Yeah, probably something like that or maybe a line missing in a .lua file, who knows....
  7. Weird.... When I tried the .miz, it worked fine but the jets were lined up in the red octagons. When I played your track, they were off to the side. May be something client side or something, not sure.
  8. Not looking at any of the attached info but is the player's aircraft starting near any AI aircraft? Maybe there's a conflict in which the player spawns into another plane.
  9. Yeah, I noticed that about a month ago when I had been away from the sim a while. I had to ask someone else that was in the multiplayer server I was on.
  10. This was the case back when the F15 was a Simple Flight Model (SFM). The autopilot would take over and you could sit there, arms crossed until "Refueling Complete". Once the Advanced Flight Model (AFM) came out, that option was taken away. That's the best I can remember it. Someone else chime in if the details aren't correct.
  11. Deadzone has to be zero? I don't buy that. I fly in formation all the time with an inexpensive stick with deadzone set to 3. No issues with autopilot controls or formation. Not sure if the devs would be able to pull off that request for you. I think that would break more other things than anything. :)
  12. Hey! Who put my picture up there! :)
  13. OK, how about flying a built in mission or multiplayer and trying it again. Just trying to figure out different ways to hit this.
  14. Maybe you have a bad keyboard config file or some other config file not set up right. Are you using or have installed any mods lately?
  15. P.S. - When that ATTITUDE light turns on in the lower right of the light panel the plane will just stay pointed in it's current position. The plane doesn't move and adjust. That's why it's ATTITUDE lock and not ALTITUDE at that point.
  16. I believe ATTITUDE hold is Left ALT + 1.
  17. Yes, look at the moderator posts above.
  18. They also fixed the aerial refueling bug which could have possibly triggered the fuel tank bug.
  19. Yes Bug thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2258471
  20. Hey Maverick just witnessed this one the other day. I was wondering if this was in response to the fix of the air refueling bug. It appears refueling no longer gives unlimited fuel.
  21. Haven't seen anything on this for a while. Were you able to set up your garbage collector script, Grimes?
  22. Win 8.1 running fine here too since it came out.
  23. Welcome Lucifah! The Virtual Aerobatics Server is a euro server and welcomes new folks. It's flying & formation only, no weapons. You should feel safe to come on over when you want to try the multiplayer option of DCS. We're running it on the 1.2.7 beta version at the moment.
  24. It's a personal preference to keep things straight. That way when you go to recently used programs, you know which one you're launching.
  25. Here's what I did, I copied the _MODS folder, JSGME.exe and the JSGME.ini over to the new folder. You have to edit the .ini file in the 1.2.7 version to show the directory path that it now resides in 1.2.7. If you don't, it will move the mod files in 1.2.6. I also renamed my JSGME.exe's to JSGME_126.exe & JSGME_127.exe, etc. This way you can run a separate instance of this app for each instance of DCS you have. Let me know if you have any more questions. You'll need to extensively test each mod too. As Skate said, it's not recommended. Reason being, some folder structures may be different on 1.2.7 vs. 1.2.6. Use mods at your own risk.
