  1. I didn't have a problem with it in previous versions so I guess I'm good. The only time it would do that for me is if I moved the stick while still in autopilot.
  2. I use "A" or "Left Alt + 1" for ATT HOLD. I use "H" or "Left Alt + 2" for ALT HOLD. I just use the single letter commands as it's easier. Just look on the right side tree of lights to see that it activates. You want to make sure you are in somewhat level flight when using these controls. I usually try to make sure I'm less than 5 degrees pitch up/down before pressing these keys.
  3. Grimes, I believe Shahdoh was able to get the dropped letters issue resolved with the latest SL mod. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  4. Just to confuse things more, 1.5.3 full release version came out today.
  5. This should be moved to the beta forum then. This is the release forum.
  6. Only Beta updated, not the full release version.
  7. Done....
  8. Agreed. The Windows Reporting registry change I noted above seems to help us on 90% of the DCS.exe crashes. Rarely do we ever discover the mission in a bad state AND DCS.exe is still active.
  9. Hey Greg, this is what I did for that, disable Windows Error Reporting: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting] "DontShowUI"=dword:00000001 It keeps that "DCS Stopped Working" window from popping up and allows our autorestart to bring DCS back up. We use a variation of this for our VB script autorestart..... PondLife's Auto DCS server restart monitor: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114361 . . . .
  10. We use a VB script on the VA server that simply monitors for DCS.exe to die. We also did the registry tweak so the crash window doesn't hang on the screen. I'll dig around the forums tonight to provide the info anyone may need. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. I believe you would have had to save the original download files to be able to reinstall an older version. Typically, ED takes the older versions off their site. There may be someone here in the forum community with the older files that could share them. That would be about your only option.
  12. Agreed Mr. Rage. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. I believe it does both. You could remove the IP entries if that's a real concern for you. I recall one half the list is by GUID and the other by IP.
  14. Hi Worther_1, If you're looking for a place to start, Virtual Aerobatics may be a good solution. It's a weapons-free free flight server. You can fly around yourself or join formations with other pilots. It's a pretty friendly environment and entertains all levels of experience. Forum: http://www.virtual-aerobatics.com/forum/index.php TeamSpeak: Virtual-Aerobatics.Teamspeak3.com .
  15. What I said above includes that. If you get the message that DCS has stopped working, you can use that registry I listed. That will keep the crash window from coming up and DCS.exe will stop. Then the auto hotkey script restarts it and logs the crash. Also, I have not seen any command line switches for DCS 1.5/2.0 that will allow you to start via command.
  16. The script in that post does track when DCS crashes to a LOG file. I also had to do a registry tweak to allow the script to restart DCS by disabling the Windows Error Reporting UI. That's the pop-up window that says DCS has crashed: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting] "DontShowUI"=dword:00000001 Also, if you want to restart your game every "X" hours, just set up a task in Task Scheduler to kill DCS.exe every "X" hours. The Auto Hotkey script starts it back up.
  17. I recognize that post. I was able to modify it for us on 1.5. Just changed the clickable coordinates for Auto Hotkey. Works great.
  18. Nope. They simplified the GUI now so you just open the main .exe file. You have to go to Multiplayer from there.
  19. You're showing the Program Files\DCS World Open Beta. The new DIR should be Program Files\DCS World.
  20. Congrats ED! Working fine for me on Win10.
  21. Hey Viper, I didn't have it either. After the install copied from my other folders and installed the remaining files, I grabbed the C:\Users\[MyUserName]\Saved Games\DCS BetaBlahBlah\Configs\Input (folder) into the new folder so all of my settings would work on the first run pass. No issues here after that.
  22. DCS 1.5 was just updated to full release version. You need to upgrade from Beta to Full Version if you haven't already done so.
  23. This works fine for me in 1.5.2. "H" key for altitude hold.
  24. We'll start testing SLMOD and hope to have the VA server up soon pending the success of that testing.
  25. Thanks Grimes. Your hard work is appreciated.
