  1. .TRK files just aren't a robust system and it's been that way for years. You can play a .TRK all the way through at normal speed and still get some placement issues with your aircraft versus the surroundings. Sometimes a high fast-forward rate can make the issue worse. You'll just need to play with it a few times until you see how it behaves. The earlier the parts you want are in the .TRK file, the better chance of getting what you want.
  2. The best way to handle the release is to not expect it. Any of you that have been around when previous modules have been released know darn well that it comes out when it comes out. Worrying about the release date is pointless. Just be happy when it does come out.
  3. Aerobatics Server is doing it in real time, there is no acceleration or deceleration of time settings. I was trying to explain that it's a 4 hour mission time and the end of that 4 hours is set for sunset. They just had to set the mission start time to be 4 hours before sunset. That's how it comes out OK at the end of the mission.
  4. Hey Aleader, if you are just talking about viewing the .trk files, see the attachment. You can just speed up and slow down forward progress...... See the circled part. If you hit the accelerate option multiple times, it gets faster and faster and shows the multiplier of the current setting in the corner somewhere.
  5. I believe Aerobatics Online for instance, has their mission set so that it ends at sunset. It's a 4 hour mission so the start time would be around 4 hours before sunset.
  6. Completely agree Dooley. "As the Flight Sim Turns" My favorite soap opera.
  7. Also, there's a similar active thread in this same forum: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201607
  8. The mem leak issue appears to be bug #1 right now. Once that's resolved may be a good time to revisit the AI issue you see. In the meantime you could also visit the AI forum to see if this one has been discussed: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=442
  9. If you look at the open beta forums, you'll find lots of talk about the memory issue that ED is working to correct. So the 12 CPUs and 32 Gig don't make a difference when the memory leak chews through it all. I'm on 8 CPUs and 32 Gig and see it as well. The scattering of the AI looks the same as players on a multiplayer server scattering when lag/memory issue hit.
  10. That is amusing to watch when flying low.....
  11. As has been said repeatedly in this forum, there's a major memory bug issue at the moment. Not a lot else you can do right now.....
  12. Thanks Snacko. I did not realize it still happened at higher amounts of memory.
  13. Guys, see Big Newy's comments. ED are working the memory issue. The last two posters here have 16 Gig RAM. I have 32 Gig Ram and typically utilize 14-16 Gig in DCS right now. So in your cases you are probably using all your RAM. You will either need to upgrade RAM, wait until they fix this, or go to the current Release version 1.5.XX. No amount of complaining is going to fix the issue faster.
  14. No need to learn, just use Google translate for any language..... https://translate.google.com Translated by Google: Not fully functional HUD! there is no horizon line! there is no direction vector! Support service Eagle Dynamics sent me to you gentlemen! How to solve this problem !?
  15. Thanks for the research on that....
  16. Great. They are hoping to have something in one of the next hotfixes but from all the updates I've seen from Big Newy, looks like it's a big issue to resolve.
  17. Looks like they just came out yesterday. I had no issues on the 390.77 which appeared to be the last update. Some folks didn't like the 390.XX versions and had reverted to 388.71. I'll download these new ones and try as well. I usually have no issue on new drivers at all.
  18. You did not specify if you were in the Release version or Open Beta. Head over to the DCS Open Beta 2. 5 forums. There's a lot of issues with memory leaks at the moment that ED are looking at. The Harrier could be part of those issues. My assumption would be to check again once ED gets an update patch out for Open Beta.
  19. Sorry to hear that. I typically get to the choose aircraft screen after about 2-3 minutes from clicking on the join button on the multiplayer server list with the specs you see in my signature. This is for joining the Aerobatics Online Caucus server. What kind of specs do you run with on your rig, Dagger?
  20. Until ED is able to get the memory issue under control you can avoid sitting in a frozen and black cockpit when you join a multiplayer server. KEEP IN MIND: This does not get you in the cockpit any faster, it still takes the same amount of time. You are just choosing a different screen to wait on. - Join the multiplayer server as normal. - From the choose aircraft lobby do the following: ------- Stay in Spectators ------- ESC key - to close the aircraft lobby screen - Press F10 to get to the Map - to get you on a different screen - Move and zoom around map until lag goes away. This can take a few minutes. - ESC key - to bring up the menu - Choose Select Role to get back to the aircraft lobby - Choose your aircraft and FLY When you get in the plane, the cockpit should already be rendered and you should be able to control it right away. The reason I like to do this is I have a hard time with all the activity going on around my plane when it's not rendered yet. You can occasionally hear other aircraft or see a stuttering of a plane go by. I would rather not worry about all that and jump into the cockpit when it's ready.
  21. I turn off v sync in DCS and turn it on in my NVIDIA card settings. Have you tried that on your graphics card? Also, with that setting I pretty much run in the 60-70 FPS range with a GTX 970. Never saw the high fps you have but mine stays smooth.
