Force Anisotropic Filtering in the graphics driver control panel to x16. This will make all textures sharper and more "grainy". Ground terrian looks much better with it. PS there is absolutely no preformance loss from this.

Same here, but 2 9800gtx. However, I still get the same, if not better performance If I disable SLI :/

hmm actually have not tried overcast conditions yet. ill give that ago ty. I guess Sli is more suited to FPS shooters etc. IL2 behaves much in the same way as Lockon with SLi activated. I fear it will not, but I hope BS takes advantage of SLI in some way.

I wouldnt think so, I tried messing around with the quality settings but it didnt seem to make a difference. I see you have a GX2, can you set that to run as a single card? If so, id be interested to know what kind of FPS increase you get running SLi compared to single GPU. ( with AntiAliasing switched off)

Im having this issue, only with SLI enabled though. I tried the 177.92 drivers and its fixed.....but only because nVidias profile for Lockon has MultiGPU rendering set to "Single GPU", so obviously they cant fix it. Lockon and SLI just dont seem to get along. Even with SLI enabled and flickering clouds my frame is still better with Single GPU. SLi always makes me loose a couple of FPS. I dont know if any of you have tried the advance nvidia profile editing software called nHancer? This allows you to change the compatibility flags for different game profiles. These predefined nVidia Flags are why people suggest to try "renaming the .exe" to make it use another profile. From my experimentation with nHancer and the Lockon profile: BAD Flags ======== 16:flickering all clouds 17:disappearing clouds, Flickering MFD 25:flickering clouds, cockpit Good Flags ========= 5: seems to give marginal fps increase 6: Lockon compatability Flag (no bad side affects, FPS increase???) 22: (no bad side affects, FPS increase???) Turning off the bad flags allows you to use Sli with no corrupt GFX, but as I mentioned I have yet to see it give more FPS than Single GPU. With SLi indicators switched on you can see that SLi is doing bugger all. the green bar just stays near the middle of the screen (AFR). anyone else had any definite increase in FPS with Sli or have any more insight into the nHancer compatibility flags? Yes, enabling Anisotropic filtering and setting it to max in your gfx driver's control panel will make the textures look much sharper. FPS loss is barely noticeable on a PC/gfx card from the past 3-4 years or so.

Same thing happens with my X52. Some nice suggestions here, thanks. But I would strongly recommend not putting anything petroleum based on plastic/rubber. Over a while it will corrode it. eg wd40/engine oil. This one of my biggest problems with Saitek sticks. They really should provide a proper dust cover (like what you have around the bottom of your gear stick in a car) and factory lubrication for those exposed spring and plastic cup joysticks. Even the X52Pro is the same, seems different coloured lights are more important to the design team than actually improving the products flaws... :music_whistling:

Hi, kind of OT but, I am making a skin and I need a high res version of the Sukhoi Winged Archer logo. I remember back before the forum change there was a person who had this logo for their avatar, I cant remember who they where though :/ . That Avatar would probably be perfect, if I'm allowed to use it that is. :D can anyone help me out please? Edit: if this would be better placed in general discussion, could it please be moved.

Patch is pretty good for me, no real performance change. But some irritating bugs are fixed, thankfully. Slightly OT, but I was wondering what you fellow LockOn fliers make of the Yaw/rudder control in all air vehicles, or apparent lack there of. With the helos and the harrier I didn't really mind, because I have never played a proper harrier/helo sim, but when I took the A10 up for a spin the abysmal rudder control is the same. Now I know, from LockOn, the A10 (even the SU25T with its advanced FM) rely heavily on rudder for lining up targets for the gun/rockets, but in AmrA I just find this impossible as the rudder appears to have little or no affect on the aircraft. Have you guys found this, or is there perhaps something wrong with my controls? cheers Sean
