:shocking: wow, mind blowing detail. Looking amazing. What is the function of the pod on the wings (above the gear) where it can open on the front? Cheers for the link

EVGA SLI Enhancement Patch v11
BTTW-DratsaB replied to Made.In.China.00's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Sounds interesting. Is this SLI enhancement pack a driver or is it some sort bespoke program for EVGA users only? -
ahh that would explain it. No need to be cheeky, "Hotshot" :P

I cant believe this is the only discussion about this announcement, this seems like really massive news for the modders and community to me and I am not even a modder. kudos to ED for this.

Looks amazing, excellent work. Looking forward to more pics

I don't think even a strong helo blade could take that. Looks like a sheet of galvanised metal was blown on top of the rotors. It probably got well in between the blades.

Saitek X-52 and Silicone Grease
BTTW-DratsaB replied to Reticuli's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
OK thanks for the info, I should of known that maplin wouldn't be up to scratch. They have "silicone grease" printed on the can :music_whistling:. It's hard to find these kind of things where I live, but I have not checked audio/HiTech music shops. Ill give that a go, either that or I guess order from the Internet. -
Saitek X-52 and Silicone Grease
BTTW-DratsaB replied to Reticuli's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I bought some spray silicone grease from Maplin as a solution for this problem of sticky feeling x52, been like this since about a month after I got it :/ . It didn't work very well though, the consistency was not what I expected, is was clear and watery and didn't really improve the x52 at all. I thought it would be white and more "creamy", like the stuff you see on plastic gears inside the likes of DVD drives and radio controlled cars etc. What is the Fader grease like? -
Yes superb pictures, thanks for the link.

Dang only got TIR a short time ago! I don't know if its really worth the price for this new version though? The only main feature that caught my eye is the increased field of track. I mean, TIR4pro is pretty damn smooth, how much smoother can it be? And in that comparison video, my TIR is nowhere near that "juddery". Good for first time buyers I guess, but I cant see many people upgrading from TIR 4. Wonder if they have an upgrade option?

Wow, great shots thanks very much. I wonder what alt it appears at?

Some nice vids Interesting documentary/stock footage with military voice over about Missile/weapon deployment (as in actual release from the aircraft) and the things that can go wrong. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7332571516393294744&q=source%3A008124841925566563971&hl=en Check out the other videos this user has, they also seem worth a look. ========================== Also, This documentary (from another user) goes over the invention of the tank and weapons of tank, new inventions like reactive armour/kinetic energy penetrator. Lots of stuff I already knew, but there is some interesting footage I hadn't seen before (M1a1 armour testing). Also some nice sections with explosives designer Sydney Alford (and others), showing the affects of tank weapons, garden shed style :D http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4328541666620831099&ei=MEjtSdu3NMLI-Ab0_YycBA&q=site%3Avideo.google.com+documentary&emb=1&dur=3&st=month Sorry if its a repost.

If you have not seen this you will LOL at it

Best acting in the whole vid is when the girl (reporter?) suddenly notices all the dead bodies on the ground  -
cool, are there many Female pilots in the Airforce flying jets? I wonder if we have any female BS pilots. On most forums they would probably pretend to be male, but I think this forum would be mature enough for them to not have to hide the fact they are female. Its such a shame that girls have to do this on forums related to gaming, but I cant say I blame them.

LMAO at the missile coming through the window :megalol:, great video. They must of had a nice relation ship with Kamov. In the West they would of just had some civy helo with cardboard missile tubes on the side. Hmm...maybe this was government made TV action show/propaganda? :D -
Its related to "Ground moving target" function, where the shkval will automatically track a locked target if it is moving. Irc, I believe that OJDee is correct in his assumption of how/why the contrast locking (or lack there of) is simulated the way it is, from a previous thread about the subject.

looks well, good job

Are these two vehicles from the same sim....???

Cheers for the pic, that detail is not far off the Arma2 models. Impressive! -
Nav Switch :- this should only be used on the ground for performing tests on the navigation and targeting system. In the BS producers note about start up, it is turned on and never turned off. This is a mistake and can lead to confusion, you wont need it for flight, leave it off. The weapon switch :- provides power to the weapons system, it should be switched on during start up and left on. I have never tried to use weapons with it off, I always thought that the weapons system would not work in some way if it was off.

irc some thing about "fav.ico" (favourite icon ?) and it gives me an option to "abort connection", probably a false positive but no other sites ever give me such warnings so I stay on the side of caution.

The site triggers my Avast virus warning :/

Yes thank you, looks like an interesting video. Cheers

Hi "Staybull" :music_whistling::lol: Yeah, unfortunately SLi doesn't make much difference and it introduces artefacts with clouds and when the weather is over cast. One thing I have never tried doing before, that I think you can with a Sli setup, is use "SLI AA". Anyone familiar with that? Some thing to do with one card providing Anti Aliasing and the other one rendering the game? Could provide some performance boost over a single card  Anyway, hope your enjoying BS mate. :joystick::pilotfly: Sean
