  1. The subscription of Eve Online is for keeping their proprietary servers running, as well as paying their staff to work on the game. Most multiplayer is community driven, as is DCS, so I think gamers would have a tough time comprehending why the game would be a subscription. If ED showed a strong development cycle, there would be an argument for subscription. Personally I would like the idea, to expect frequent updates and bug fixes, for a marginal subscription fee. And yes, "throwing money at the problem" does not make good games, absolutely. IF THIS WERE TRUE WE WOULD ALL BE SHITTING FRANKLINS INTO SOME HOLE IN THE GROUND

  5. Giving 20 seconds of fall time is about the minimum. 14 or so seconds of laser will usually guarantee a hit, but only if dropped level and on target (5 mil zone on the ccrp). In high wind, it helps to veer slighty into it (a crosswind). I bound a key to the UFC rocker switch and don't use the hotas to change profiles. It always works, regardless of SOI.
  6. Been playing The Valley campaign and noticed the buks will launch but the missile does not have a hope of reaching.
  7. Anyone else using lots of mavs? Dumb bombing seems impossible with the buks around.

  10. I did try Attack Map Object, set it on the bridge in the ME, but they shoot the water beneath it. I think 3 AGM65-G are good enough to blow a part of the span. If you want to check out the bridge, it's south of Tkibuli Tkibuli is N42º21'27" E043º00'03" roughly. There is a lake and I am trying to setup an ambush on an enemy convoy.

  12. Yes but wasn't it said that the Caucases map will not be updated to take advantage of the new renderer? Slightly confused by the new pics obviously.
  13. But it would be more badass and warlike for a wing of A10 to use AGMs to take out a bridge.
  14. Anyone else find it strange that these new rendering effects are being used on the "old map", which "will not be compatible" with the new renderer? I am not trying to dismiss anyone's hard work, but what I have been lead to believe is the new map IS the new renderer, and they are the same thing.
  15. Can the AI be told to shoot directly at a bridge versus beneath it? While they were still able to demolish it, I think it takes less ammo if they get a direct hit? Most of their missiles did not hit (5 out of 8).
  16. Some missions work in 1.2.7 some don't. I opened "Train Kepa Rollin" and tryed to re-save it, and it would not save or let the mission launch. But "CAS Convoy" works fine.
  17. That's because you are seeing the game's culling draw a big pixel where something should be smaller. Since the game draws what's in front first, the pixel is filled with the object and everything behind that object that could fit in the pixel is ignored. Try using AntiAliasing at the higher resolution, things will look a little blurry.
  18. The ejection system is complicated by the looks of it. Coolest part of the whole thing is the laser horizon.

  22. Been looking at it as a way to do some other things, but it seems poorly documented and their forums are a ghost town. It would take a while to learn it.

  24. Amylase is the enzyme found in saliva that digests sugars. Make sure some makes it's way around your teeth, and the cavity causing sugar will wash away. :thumbup:
