  1. Area photographs, as requested
  2. I don't think they can, most likely a violation of the EULA if they make it public.
  3. You know, that to fly aircraft in the US Air Force requires some college right?
  4. When you keep thinking of ways to improve the design/function/usage of the A10C
  5. Make sure NumLock is on :)
  6. When the server boots everyone saying "Connection Interrupted" :(
  7. The floodlight isn't for in-flight cockpit illumination, just like the same in a car, it's only there to see around in the cabin. Use your other light settings and set them as low as you can to maintain out-of-cockpit contrast.
  8. I tried the TK GATE thing, set it to open and sloshed fuel to both tanks. It's tricky getting fuel into the front tank, but if you dive roughly 20º and don't exceed 1g it works. Then a warning light comes on that the tanks are unbalanced. I think it only works if you have over a certain amount of fuel, not sure. Maybe upside down would exchange them faster...
  9. So that means 0 altitude is the runway?
  10. Yes that's what it's for. I don't know the exact details though, maybe someone does? All I know is don't adjust the QFE dial while in autopilot :smilewink:
  11. Well I have found that reducing the throttle on the inside engine acts somewhat to make up for it. Dual throttle is actually quite easy on the keyboard if you use my keybinds :)
  12. It goes like this... To enter the turn coordinated, tap rudder button a bit, tap roll about 50/50 on/off at a rate of .4 seconds, keep tapping both while in the turn. The impossible part is exiting the bank coordinated with the rudder, which requires more finesse than tapping is gonna provide
  13. That's like the most important part of flying a plane though... Drag your tail too much and you'll fall right out the sky. Although the A10 is fairly noob-friendly in this regard, I find it's rudder control to be cumbersome, and it doesn't help I use a keyboard either.
  14. So is there a reason to use the cross-feed during normal flight? Since I started using the throttles separately it's been on my mind. I have seen the fuel gauge report most all the fuel in the fuselage tanks on a light load, but if they are coaxial then I don't think it matters so much?
  15. Is this for the obvious? Fuel from both tanks to both engines? Any need to use this when refueling?
  16. I think the AAA is overestimated here... most likely the minions will not engage the plane outwards of 3000ft. And even at close range they have significant problems leading the target :( Tested an AI Vulcan against a huey and a hind, it was pitiful.
  17. I started off with a Soundblaster AWE 32, which Duke Nukem 3D even had a preset for! Hail to the king, baby!
  18. Stuttering audio is a symptom of window's audio stream API (WASAPI). It has somewhat to do with drivers as well, but IME anything (audio workstation) using ASIO beats the pants off WASAPI.
  19. I did some googling and as it turns out the FX9590 single-thread performance is somewhat low compared to the i7-4770. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html I think you need to weigh your computing priorities before making the decision. Both will do well to run DCS at reasonably good quality, but the parallel performance (multitasking at least) of the FX9590 might be a better option for you. Overall I would decide on the processor/mobo combo which would guarantee the highest memory throughput for shear framerate.
  20. Hmmm, MK-82 or night out on the town?
  21. Some types of math are not parallel processing capable. MATH, not games or developers, MATH. Anything that has to be calculated, after something else is calculated, is not parallel.
  22. What's wrong with this mission? After the F117s drop their bombs, they float away and don't follow the flight plan. Sochi Invasion.miz
  23. For the campaign, all you need to do for a successful mission (on your part) is engage the units at the target waypoint. Change your loadout in the Mission Planner before you click Fly.
  24. I don't know if this is modeled in the game but lowering the throttle is supposed to help or so I've heard. Launch flares immediately after detection. Try to get behind the flares if you know where the SAM is.
  25. Thank you, it seems easy enough. Is there a way to check LOS between units?
