Do you use breaks during take off when you want to increase the speed ??
-
This makes me wonder. How can a plane be much harder than the Spitfire? Yesterday I tried the three first tutorials for the Spitfire. Very little room for mistake and deviation during take off although I did made it. But here can be mentioned that there is a slider setting to adjust difficulty in this regard which I don't have set to max difficulty. Does the 109 also have such slider ? Landing failed. Very tricky to get speeds and attitude correct. If I plane would be much more difficult than this can anyone learn it ? I think I was asking about the Spitfire in its forum before purchase and was told that it was the most difficult and the P51 the easiest.
-
I think I should clarify some things. I am prepared for and willing to accept that it can be difficult to some extent. But if I would need unreasonable time to learn it then it is a problem. For example I have the UH 1H Huey and I got stuck on the basic task of just hoovering above the ground. With the spitfire I think the main problem is that wheels are so close together that it is difficult to avoid the plane tipping at one side. Which makes take off and landing difficult. And yes I think the 109 can be good. Voiced tutorials and I see it has a campaign.

Does it have voiced tutorials ?

So would Fw 190 A-8 be a better and more easy choice ?
-
I have CH Rudder pedals and TM Hotas warthog joystick and throttle. How can they be super easy for you if they are so difficult to fly ?
-
So I get contradictory answers to my question. Reason for my question is that I am somewhat concerned that I buy a plane I will not fly since it is to difficult. The two planes I have mentioned I have this impression P51 Mustang not trivial to fly but was still possible to learn. Some fighting difficult like bombs. Spitfire clearly more difficult to fly than the P51. Many take off fails and I most landings. A plane more difficult to fly than the Spitfire is off no interest for me.
-
When it comes to learning to fly and fight in this plane how difficult is it compared to (two modules I have) The Spitfire The P51 Mustang also consider quality of documentation and tutorials. Btw is the tutorials voiced ?

What is this armament window that you bring up in the beginning? I have no idea how to display it or that it existed.

In the A10C there are counter measures that kick in automatically. But what should I do in the Viggen when AA missiles comes towards me ? In redflag I have been shoot down twice now.
-
In a Red flag mission the info said that time on target was critical. I then discovered that ordinary clock in Viggen seem to not be running. There is a knob with which you can control the second indicator. But the clock seem to be stopped.
-
I think it was the right gear. It didn't happem when I flew the next mission in this campaign.
-
I made a flight in the red flag camapign. After taking off I could in the outside view see that one of the landing gear had not been raised. But there was no error indication in the cockpit and the plane could fly as if everything was normal. I tried lower and raising the gear again but the result was still one of the landing gear remained extended. I then made the take off training session and here all three gears was raised like expected and like they always has done before.
-
I now have it enabled and so far the plane have not exhibited the strange left roll tendency.
-
Don't have twist grip. Have CH Rudder pedals and TM Hotas warthog
-
Yes shaking from start of flight. I think I have disabled the sync controls for my TM Hotas warthog since I otherwise got a problem. Contrary to what could be expected.
-
I did that and the problem didn't surface. Actually find out that it is only sometimes or very often this occur and not in specific loaded flights. I noticed that in the takeoff tutorial the plane seem to shake slightly and it's more difficult to stay on the center line during take off run.
-
In the cold start tutorial I am told to center yaw trim and that this trim is centered when the trim pin is visible. What pin that might be both visible and invisible ?
-
There are no option to save the track after a tutorial. I will see if I can get it in another kind of flight.
-
Yes I wrote that earlier in the thread. And according to this display the controls are centered
-
I don't see how keybinds could cause this if I don't press the keys. But I did notice that the keys for bank left and right and right left rudder caused the control deflection to go at maximum left right position by just pressing the keys once. This is different from the keys for pitching up down. I tried disabling those keys but it didn't affect the problem. I also tried disabling the plane and then enabling it again. Also this had no effect on the problem.
-
I don't think so. It's in the interactive tutorials I am experiencing this.
-
Setting pitch trim to neutral worked fine for the pitch problem. But I still have a problem with the plane rolling to the left. It's a strong tendency and not only during take off. I have opened the control display with right CTRL RETURN and my controls are seen to be centred.

The mission editor ? What has CA to do with that ? Is CA about creating own scenarios ? My impression has been that CA is some kind of strategy game within the DCS framework.
-
IN DCS a plane helo usually have interactive tutorials and some instant action missions together with single missions and sometimes a campaign. How is it with CA in this regard ? How do you learn to use it ?
