I can't address anyone in flight since I can't bring up the communication menu At any rate I ended this mission so I will not have to do it again

No it can't be circuit breakers. I always have five enabled (the two on top the two on the bottom and one right second row) and the radio worked on the ground.

Yes I have the master arm on. Once during an earlier attempt that was not the case. Thus I have retried this mission several times. Could that mess up things ? Regarding instruction to the wing man. I noticed that I can't bring up the radio menu during flight so how could I give him instructions ?

In this campaign there was a mission were we should drop bombs on a harbor. I couldn't drop my bomb. And yes I had fused the bomb and yes main arms switch was on. After this mission I flew the ground attack tutorial and had no problem dropping the bomb. I also noticed that my wing man still had the bomb during the flight back over the channel. Other glitches I have encountered My wing man reports bingo fuel before take off My wing man ejects before take off During this last mission I never get clearance to take off

Yes that was the problem and I could set it to off with my Hotas Thrustmaster Warthog throttle quadrant throttle lever detent.

Since I get stuck in startup tutorial I tried to proceed on my own with engine start. There is an engine start panel with an engine start button. If I try to press that nothing happens. And by that I not only mean nothing happens with the engine but also I don't see the button itself being depressed like other buttons. True for both mouse click and pressing an assigned joystick button.

Do you mean that it is not possible to proceed from this point ?

I have just purchased this plane. And in the first interactive tutorial I get stuck at the point where I should set the radio switches. First the UHF mode selector should be set to M. I do so and still it is marked with yellow border as if not correctly set. Actually this is the case for all possible switch settings. Then a V/UHF RX mode selector should be st to PAL. Now things get confusing. The pictures in the manual does not agree with what I see in the cockpit. There are no switch with a PAL marking. There is a VHF mode switch with other options. But none of its settings make me proceed with the lesson. I'm lost here.

As a matter of fact in DCS there are 109 flights starting at night even if the 109 is a day fighter. For example in the default campaign. In one briefing we are told that we need to move the plane but bad weather has caught us. So it was night snow and heavy wind in this difficult take off scenario. Maybe we can think that we need to move a plane right now and there are no time to wait until the morning.

In some missions I start the flight during the night. How am I supposed to do any checklist when I can't see anything ? Even if the plane is up running there are no cabin light and even the instrument seem badly lit.

Yes during my last attempts this has worked. But both the manual and the tutorial voice instructions tell me to do otherwise. I still can't go straight on the runway but my plane wont break so I can correct that.

But will it help (assuming we have touched down) ? Just after touch down as I see it the first and only thing you can and must do is slow down. And how to do that apart from just waiting ?

Under mission there is an interdiction mission. Here many things does not work as expected. I can't get any responses from ATC. No startup clearance no take off clearance. And if I take off no warning about not being cleared which happens in other missions tutorials.

But holding the stick back is that not the correct procedure ? Does it not make slowing down more efficient ?

My settings are set to FULL labels which I also have in all other flights. LShift + F10 did not give me any labels in the air combat tutorial

During my last attempts I got the impression that just after touch down the rudder pedals has no effect at neither does the brakes. After the plane has slowed down a bit the brakes works. My touch down speed is below 200

That could be done in two ways. 1) The rudder 2) The brakes Which ?

When landing this plane I have big difficulties during the time after the touch down. It seem impossible to fly straight and when I try to counteract and tendencies of turning things easy go wrong. In best case I might find myself facing the opposite direction or going off the runway without crashing. But often I tilt somehow and crash the plane. I do hold back the stick

I saw that in my control settings R Shift + F10 should control labels. At any rate neither R Ctrl or R Shift + F10 made any labels to be displayed in the air combat tutorial. Btw what is meant by irc ?

During the air combat tutorial I see no label on the planes. How can I get that ? I do have labels in the instant action air combat and also for the spitfire air combat tutorial.

When I tried the landing tutorial again that switch was indeed at MW position at start. Don't ask me why it was not so earlier. And now I have switch assigned to it if it is needed.

Thank you for the help. I will try again later. Regarding flipping switch moment before engine dies. The problem is I don't know when that moment occur. Can I not flip it right away at start of tutorial ?

Yes I have TM Hotas warthog. I didn't touch any buttons except pitch trim during flight. But I will check to see if there are any throttle cut off assigned EDIT No have not assigned any button to throttle cut off
