After posting this I did tried the AA gun tutorial. Here I noticed the plane was very slow in its turning and roll. Is the plane like this or has it bad performence on my computer ? Other planes are better in this regard.

I own the F86 Sabre but found it very difficult to fly as soon as I left the basics like taking off. I understand that Mig 15 is a similar plane. So how is it with regard to quality of content like missions tutorials compared to F86 ? How easy is it to fly and fight in ? I have only had time to try the startup and take off tutorial

I tried a take off in this plane since it is free to use now. But like all other planes in DCS we need interactive tutorial preferable voiced and missions and campaigns. If we get that this could be an interesting plane. Maybe we will get it ? When ? With only some instant actions a purchase would be pointless.

Yes I think that I made that mistake at some occasions. But also I had some problems with the autopilot not being able to set main to on which might have affected the engine. Now in the case I got everything with the startup correct I encounter a problem when taking off. When I do that the helicopter starts spinning around. Should not the enabled autopilot prevent this ? I can stop this spinning with my rudder pedals but should it be necessary to this manually ?

No since it is an interactive tutorial that option is never offered unlike missions and campaigns

In the first voiced tutorial about startup I follow the instructions and the helo starts up with the rotor turning. Then the engine seem to stop since the rotor stop spinning after which I was told that I have successfully finished the tutorial ?

I changed the fuel booster assignment from only fuel booster to fuel booster on and now if that set to on it will be on in flight. But why can't DCS handle two way switches ? I can't assign fuel booster off to the off position of the switch. Setting it from on to off is not even registered as a button pressed

And I do have that feature enabled. My gear up is not assigned to a two way switch but to lever+a button on the throttle

Yes that seem to help. But in a way I had fuel booster on. It is assigned to a button on my TM Hotas and that switch was set to on and if things works correctly this should have been detected and set the fuel booster to on at start of flight

I frequently encounter a problem that the engine stops. When I look around the cockpit all controls and gauges seem correctly set. It happened during the tutorial take off and other tutorials also like ground attack. It happens again and again. Restarting DCS does not help. It happened during a instant action take off for which a track is attached tempMission.miz.trk

I encounter problems during the take off roll in the epsom campaign. The plane turns to the left and my right rudder seem to have no effect. I have displayed the controller display window and there everything seem normal. When I tried a instant action take off mission just after seeing this problem and then there were no such problem. Also I have set trim nose down and right rudder trim

No instead I press the button three times

Well yesterday I was finally able to bail out. And my strong impression was that I needed to press the button far more than three times

I have a button assigned to it

Strange if we can jump out while the canopy is still closed

I first open the canopy then I give the command for bailout

I have noticed that it is not possible to bail out in flight. Why ? There is a command bail out and other planes in my group can tell me they are ejecting. (this also apply to the BF109)

Am I supposed to be able to bring up the radio menu in flight ? I can't and I have tried with all radio buttons A B C D. On the ground B works with ATC.

It still does not work. I press 1 1 8 3 and VLD is displayed on the button. I press VLD and XFR is displayed also my entered 1183 disappear and FF P 001 is displayed instead. My frequency is not set 118.3 and pressing XFR now wont do it

What VAL button ? I have not figured out how to manually set a frequency in the first tutorial I am supposed to set 118.3 MHz the only thing I still miss.

Yes actually that was off. I have never needed to think about this before. On the other hand it is not realistic that you suddenly drop dead because of this. In FSX and A2A planes this is well simulated.

In the scramble mission after reaching assigned altitude the mission suddenly ends and in the mission log I see that I have taken off and then pilot dead. Why ?

No I have a button om my TM Hotas Warthog Throttle assigned for comm. Another thing to think about. After take off must I get close to the leader in order to trigger something (radio message) ?
