The 1070 turned my 5 year old PC into a new machine. I was going to upgrade my mb and cpu, but now there is no point.

I have a surface tablet computer with windows 10, and I've never seen an app that I would want on my PC that runs DCS. There is a snowball's chance in hell that DCS will upgrade to DX12 in the near future, but if it does, I'll upgrade to windows 10. As for the sound issue, other games will automatically install the drivers you need to get sound working again. I think it was after I reinstalled Cliffs of Dover on steam that sound worked for me again in DCS after an OS reinstall.

The BR light doesn't turn on anymore with the latest patch, both in the 1.5.x and 2.x threads. What changed?

In the controllers menu, select "axis commands" from the drop down menu. Scroll down until you see your x-axis or y-axis control. Highlight the x-axis or y-axis control, it doesn't matter which one. Select ffb tune, and check the box that says "swap axis."

The radar will not warm up when I use this campaign. I also get the bug where flares/chaff will not dispense. The GCI is pretty worthless, and without radar this campaign will have to wait for the bugs to get fixed. Have you considered using the EWRS script for this campaign? I'll try again in a few months.

I recently had to reinstall DCS and the reinstall coincided with the latest update. The head-shake effect seems to be drastically reduced even though I have the relevant selection enabled in the settings. Did something change or do I still have to adjust my settings further? I did a search and nothing came up. Thanks.

Don't need a track. If you fly the Mig 21 module you noticed the change. I figured out that you need to have some back pressure on the stick in order to raise the nose much earlier. Then the tires won't pop. But yeah, if you follow the original training tutorial recommendations you will pop the tires.

No, I mean using the Mig29 to test the R-60M. R-60M works fine when fired from mode 6 in the Mig-29. Tested against the AI F-16 again. So, evidence indicates this is a Mig-21 bug, not an R-60 or AI aircraft bug.

FYI, in the P-51 you cannot toggle WEP. Once you break the wire your new 100% throttle is WEP. I didn't know how it worked in the Spit, so thanks!

+1 Without a boresight marking you'll improve faster by leaving the gyro off.

The Mirage is ahead of other beta modules that were released years before it. There are no major issues and functionality steadily increases. The developer is also very involved in the forum and keeps us updated on what is what.

I've seen the bug against the F-16, F-4, and F-5. There could be others. The bug does not exist if you use an FC3 fighter like the Mig-29 to fire the R-60(M).

I know VEAO is doing that for the Typhoon, but not every module we have has clearance from its native military.

Aircraft like the 190D-9 really should be flown in a group. A 1vs1 contest will tend to favor the aircraft that turns better, and that's about it. But single player is a poor training ground for the kind of combat the 190D-9 excels at. The AI try to turnfight and it's every man for himself. If you haven't tried it yet, use the takeoff flaps when you're trying to bring her around in the vertical. You also need to work your throttle so that the engine torque can help you adjust your bank when the ailerons are no longer effective.

Yes, everything is 100%. I opened a support ticket. Sound plays normally from the windows desktop, and plays normally in other flight sims.

None at all. This is a fresh install.

Subject says it. I have no sound in 1.5.6.1938. I tried a repair and it made no difference.

Meanwhile, my wife said she spotted my first grey hair... So long as I don't have grandkids by the time I can fly on the Normandy map it will be a win. :hehe:

I had to replace my harddrive yesterday. I had everything important backed up on an external drive, but everything in the registry is gone (obviously). Is there any way to deactivate my modules from the website in order to reinstall, or are those activations gone? I realize we get plenty of chances, but sh*t happens, and I'd prefer not to see the activation count tick down. Thank you.

+1 Last thing Mig-21 needs is visual enhancements. Just get the weapons and avionics working again, please.
