    Probably the worst default sounds of any WW2 module. I would love to see a similar sound mod for the Spit, but I'm still eagerly awaiting these sounds for the Mustang.

  8. Multiplayer dogfight servers have nothing to do with WW2. They exist for the art of air to air combat. Vulching is a kind of griefing when there is no attrition, the AAA is weak, and you can do it over and over again, dying every time. The people who do it aren't simulating anything. They just get a kick out of shooting someone who had no chance to defend himself.

  10. Even with that mod it is very boring to fly WW2 in multiplayer simply because you might get 5 minutes of combat for an hour of seat time.
  11. You can still hear other aircraft near you with his mod if you idle your engine. But otherwise, yeah, it is an improvement.

  14. With the latest update to 1.5 the F10 menu options are no longer available.
  15. Decaf? Both used the DB 605D with MW50 injection. I agree with Sith that any mission maker can disable MW50 for the 109 any time he pleases in order to (crudely) simulate a less power variant of the 109.
  16. Would be nice to know. I have the same issue with the way the rail goes straight in your face when you look around. You can lock the tailwheel. There is a little handle on the left side of the cockpit to do that. Or you can map the control to your stick or throttle.

  19. If you're new to DCS then you probably don't know that the AI has a very simplified damage model. You have to fly online to get an accurate sense of the aircraft's firepower.

  21. Double superior is a term of art. It is not an overall appraisal of the aircraft's abilities. Everything you say about the better high speed maneuvering of the P-51D is true, of course. For now the 109K K/D is about 4x better than the P51 in multiplayer. Even taking into account the foibles of internet airquake and the misuse of the P51, that is an impressive spread. We've all shot down 109s with the P51, but when your opponent isn't a sucker you are in for a lot of trouble.
  22. The FM has changed more than a couple times in the last year; Leatherneck was not so confident in the validity of the FM as you are.
  23. The AI doesn't seem to have an excessively good turn rate. It's the climb rate and low speed vertical maneuvering that beggars belief, as pointed out in the OP. Did you ever share those mods? I'd be curious to see.
