  1. Nice - small observation - our ex RNZAF A-4s where dehumped as part of Kahu upgrade
  2. Heard the same - hoping to crawl over one in Jan.
  3. Don't give up on the F-18 Bull :). It's been a good year for DCS and next year will more than likely top it if both the 18 and the 14 get released. It's xmas eve (in NZ) Cobra, you can have tomorrow off okay :)
  4. I know you have already chosen but add +1 for the Tornado followed by the A-4 and the A-6
  5. These are just observations and not criticisms in order to help: 1. Setup mission with F-15C and E's at night - aircraft still dark even if caught in another aircraft's lights 2. Same goes for taxing near the terminal lights, the aircraft still dark Best time to fly is at dawn or dusk, stunning graphics.
  6. Yes, it works well. Now the L39C looks like a civilian version. Have some friends who own an L39 so need to show them DCS
  7. Been downloading for nearly 10 1/2 hours and I'm still not able to launch DCS 2.0 yet. Let alone NTTR. Current download 312MB at 17KB/s It is what it is but it wasn't this bad when 1.5 came out
  8. I was wondering the same. The first 12GB came down very fast and the next update which is 1.85GB is painfully slow at 8KB/s and after 4 hours is just 1/4 way there. If we cancel, does it have to start again?
  9. Looking very very good Zeus. It's the 30th here in NZ already :)
  10. Everyone can be thankful you don't charge a monthly access / rent fee (don't get any ideas). Looking forward to 2.0 and NTTR and 2000C.
  11. Brief search carried out but Mig29G wheels rotate wrong way when rolling. Currently using 1.5 update 3 Anyone else have this?
  12. Sadly, their gain was NZ's loss : ( We miss the A4's and 339's around our skies. I've got access to a 339 if anyone wants photos and data to create a model :) hint himt
  13. B-1B F-111 Tornado Mig-27 Any of those will be a great addition to DCS. The tornado AI in 1.5.0 looks great where as the Bone still looks basic.
  14. 2MB/S in NZ - which isn't bad for us
  15. Anyone just see Wags last update - "We think we have resolved the failures, and we are now uploading it to our test server. Once we've had a check, and if all looks good, we will then open it to everyone. One step closer guys." Awesome news
  16. Actually that is an awesome idea MegOhm
  17. This is one nice looking bird - purchased. Also added a fresh copy of the black shark 2. I have no problems with their pricing either, looks like a lot of work has gone into it and if you think about the hours that you will get from this, it's cheaper than flying for real. Can't wait for Nevada, F-14, F-18, A-6, A-4, A-7
  18. Just watch the forums activity rocket from here on in :) I've said this before, it's a great time to be involved / into DCS right now, so many items to purchase in the next 12 months - great times.
  19. Absolutely agree, trust and workmanship is worth paying for. Hope it goes really well Gary. Post lost of pics.
  20. Hi Gary (Sierra99) $80 an hour sounds expensive especially if a cash rate. I've paid $50 an hour for a local boat builders foreman.
  21. A lot of sanding and grinding still to do then filling in the gaps and priming and painting. Next is to add rivets and screws where appropriate and cut some holes for the seat cords through the tensioner Waiting on drogue chute to arrive and will finish off the headbox properly. The front panel will have a 22" screen mounted on the rear and this covers the 3 MFD and RWR receiver nicely. Next week is manufacturing the glare shield and mounting the ejection handle plus adding the nylon tracks to the bottom of the seat.
  22. Yep, as others have stated. Look at the throttle grip and increase the throttle via the keyboard until you see it rotate, then decrease it. Engine will start after that : ) Happy Flying - The Huey is one of my favorite at the moment.
  23. I'm betting you have some good stories to tell Mr Burns. If I get my way (and can work it out), I want the handle to be the locking mechanism for the seat which will be on sliding rails so people can get in and out. :) Bottle off Ebay - there are more if you take a look
  24. It's not my goal to make an exact replica, but to make a 70% visual representation to make people feel/think they are sitting on an ejection seat. Work finished for tonight, looking forward to next week
  25. Some routed pieces, should look good cleaned up and powder coated
