B-1B F-111 Tornado Mig-27 Any of those will be a great addition to DCS. The tornado AI in 1.5.0 looks great where as the Bone still looks basic.

2MB/S in NZ - which isn't bad for us

Anyone just see Wags last update - "We think we have resolved the failures, and we are now uploading it to our test server. Once we've had a check, and if all looks good, we will then open it to everyone. One step closer guys." Awesome news
-
Actually that is an awesome idea MegOhm

This is one nice looking bird - purchased. Also added a fresh copy of the black shark 2. I have no problems with their pricing either, looks like a lot of work has gone into it and if you think about the hours that you will get from this, it's cheaper than flying for real. Can't wait for Nevada, F-14, F-18, A-6, A-4, A-7

PRE-PURCHASE DCS: L-39 ALBATROS Discussion Thread
X93355 replied to terence44's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Just watch the forums activity rocket from here on in :) I've said this before, it's a great time to be involved / into DCS right now, so many items to purchase in the next 12 months - great times. -
Absolutely agree, trust and workmanship is worth paying for. Hope it goes really well Gary. Post lost of pics.

Hi Gary (Sierra99) $80 an hour sounds expensive especially if a cash rate. I've paid $50 an hour for a local boat builders foreman.

A lot of sanding and grinding still to do then filling in the gaps and priming and painting. Next is to add rivets and screws where appropriate and cut some holes for the seat cords through the tensioner Waiting on drogue chute to arrive and will finish off the headbox properly. The front panel will have a 22" screen mounted on the rear and this covers the 3 MFD and RWR receiver nicely. Next week is manufacturing the glare shield and mounting the ejection handle plus adding the nylon tracks to the bottom of the seat.

Cold Start Tutorial - No Engine Start SP/MP
X93355 replied to SPEKTRE76's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yep, as others have stated. Look at the throttle grip and increase the throttle via the keyboard until you see it rotate, then decrease it. Engine will start after that : ) Happy Flying - The Huey is one of my favorite at the moment. -
I'm betting you have some good stories to tell Mr Burns. If I get my way (and can work it out), I want the handle to be the locking mechanism for the seat which will be on sliding rails so people can get in and out. :) Bottle off Ebay - there are more if you take a look
-
It's not my goal to make an exact replica, but to make a 70% visual representation to make people feel/think they are sitting on an ejection seat. Work finished for tonight, looking forward to next week
-
Some routed pieces, should look good cleaned up and powder coated
-
Some more work being done this week on the pit in readiness for DCS 1.5 Tonight, working on the Ejection Seat and TV Bracket - raising the TV stand by 150mm to align the center level with the person eyes Ejection Seat to have knockers attached and belt tensioners machined. Plus custom making the Drogue Gun (picked up a drogue chute from ebay). Plus fitting the oxygen bottle. Next week, complete the front instrument panel, left, right and center consoles.

If you build a seat that has a metal base the butt kicker absolutely works well. Highly recommend for such a small investment. Now all I have to do is get compressed air into my G suit and it will be so close :)

Don't forget the AgCat : )

Hi hegykc, You can count me in for an F-18 Stick and throttle set as well as an ejection handle (maybe two sets). Just wondering if you have on your radar to produce a plug and play landing gear lever / module? Keep up the good work.

DCS World News, Q&A and Gameplay for August 9th 2015
X93355 replied to Wags's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Just before watching the video I was wondering how likely it would be for Thrustmaster to release a new throttle and stick. I for one would buy one or two of them. Great video Wags, the old map is looking really good under 1.5 - shadows off the powerlines etc. -
The ceremony has just completed and we were lucky enough for the weather to clear after lots of squalls this morning. It ended with the flight of 5 Harvard's in formation around our city and a missing man formation. The sound was beautiful. RIP in Squadron Leader Munro.

Feedback and General Questions for Video Updates
X93355 replied to Groove's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Same - wonder if it has anything to do with the F-14 and a possible Top Gun Miramar map? (wishful thinking?) I so wish the A4 was to be made. -
Agree with Hrothgar. I for one see the future as extremely bright for DCS products and all the 3rd party developers (especially those freaking amazing guys at leatherneck). +1 for ED, Belsimtek or Leatherneck to do the 64D :) Roll on September PS: Anyone remember playing Digital Integration's Apache? Bought my first CH Products rudder pedals in 1996 for that sim.

Hi ED, Not sure if this has been asked, but what will happen with the activation of modules for DCS World 1.5 / 2.0? I only ask, as I've used up a lot of my activation's via upgrades/rebuilds etc. Thanks

As an idea, would love to see the A10C (for it's nice big canopy) taxing past a hovering UH-1H and AH64D. Then waiting for runway lineup clearance whilst a B1B and or B52 takes off (nice big smokey engines). Then after takeoff, formatting with an F-18C on it's way to the bombing range. And listening to the improved ATC communications : )

One year on and their website is still down : ( I bought a couple of instruments (HSI and EDI) and I've fantastic support from this guy in Australia (who is actually from NZ) called bnepethomas - Thank you Peter :)

Hold the phone up the correct way :P or upside down. Nicely done Rags, do I see a helo collective with your pit?
