No, as far as I know, PLA has very mature tech of radars and missiles and even EMP, absolutely at the same level of US's counterparts. If there is a war between China and US, I bet the A-10 becomes totally useless. What China weakness is stealth and anti-stealth tech, fairly immature, so F-35 or X-47 or JASSM might have their relatively superiority on china's territorial sky.

I think DOD couldn't be that stupid. IMHO, the A-10 series are indeed obsolete for future war, though it had its glory days in Iraq and Afghanistan. But that's a asymmetric warfare. As the tech develops, especially the long-range radar and laser intercept, send a A-10 or Su-25 like jets to behind enemy line means a suicide mission. If a CAS needed, send a X-47 to drop some smart bombs might be the best choice.

I play ArmA and DCS both, ArmA engine did a really good job on infantry simulator, such as:anims, stamina, backpack, body armor, ballistic.....and detailed terrain. But bad at: jets and combat vehicles FCS and Aerodynamic DCS did a really good job on these feature, but bad at arma achieved. So, if they could be combined, then a wonderful mil-sim born

How a terrific and ambitious tech - ReRoll :thumbup:. Large terrain must depend on such a new technology, otherwise numerous devs has to be employed. I hope those guys could achieve scanning the whole planet in five years. And them DCS's modules could be integrated into the ReRoll, that would be awesome. I would pay even if they sell it at 1000USD/Copy.

DCS series provide us mil-sim jets.... ArmA series provide us mil-sim infantries. DCS map is over one million sq.km, but poor textured ground. ARMA3's island is onley several sq.km, but detailed ground. Here is my question, According to current computer hardware developing speed, how many years will it take to allow us fly a million sq.km terrain as detailed as Arma3's terrain? 10years?:smartass:

I would uninstall the 1.2.6 and give it a clean 1.2.7 installation.

Set CPU affinity still doesn't improve the drastically fps drop when multiple explosion happens. Nowdays, 4core CPU is porpularized, so I can't figure out Why ED insists on just 2 core, why not try one core performing for particles, one core for terrain, one core for audio, one core for AI script. Come one, ED, we need DCS runs at 4 cores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My GPU is the outdated HD6970. I do appreciate the effectiveness of the 1.2.7 beta and the new su-33, I can't live without it, the most handsome jet I've ever seen. Especially while succeed to do an aircraft deck landing or in-flight refuelling, wow, the feeling is gorgeous

After tasted the 1.2.7 beta, there is obviously FPS increase if comparing with old version. I think it must due to the more RAM usage, my gig is 8GB RAM+I5 2500K. I hope the next update could bring more CPU core usage.

Where is the new SU-33?

I'm planing to buy LG 29EA93-P, which has a resolution 2560X1080, 21:9 ratio, So I want to know if the DCS world can be domenstrated at such resolution? Does anybody know it? Thanks in advance

But when I fly F-15, the USA tanker would do it even if I'm 3km away from it. So I got a question, is it a real situation or a bug?

Last night, when I'm flying a SU-33, I tried to call the air tanker to do a air to air refueling. The annoying thing is when I call the "Ready to pre-contact", the tanker always said "return to pre-contact" and never deploy the pipeline even if I get very closer to it. Anybody knows how? (I use the latest update3 of 1.2.6)

Same asking. I'm also eagerly expecting this new model bird. In my aesthetic point of view, su-33 is the most beautiful jets, then F18>SU27>F15>SU-25>A-10

Will the new su-33 model come with it? Let's wait and see.

I'm been always waiting for the new Su-33 model, after all it's my favorite jet.
