Go into your controls settings and click the button that says "Axis Assign" at the bottom of the page. There you will have access to all the bindings that are axis related, such as stick inputs and TrackIR inputs.

Cool! Thanks for the opportunity!

I don't think there's a "Master Arm" for the FC3 aircraft. For the F-15C, just make sure you're in any of the air-to-air modes (anything but NAV mode) and you have your gears up, and you should be able to fire your cannons and selected missile at will. Of course, to target something, you have to do what riproren said and use the radar etc.

A few things you should check: Your HUD displaying too large is caused by your pilot's head leaning in too far back from the display. Since the actual size of the HUD in your peripheral vision doesn't change when you get farther or closer to it, leaning back will cause it to appear larger and fill the entire glass. Causes: Your TrackIR is not centered correctly in a way that your "center" seating position is too far back from the glass of the HUD. You can remedy this by recentering your TrackIR, or experimenting with the centering of the TrackIR (e.g. centering the TrackIR while you're farther back than your normal seating position so that when you move to the regular position, it will move the DCS pilot's head to a suitable position -OR- You somehow have Zoom View and TrackIR Longitudinal View bound together, so that when you are at a comfortable ZOOM, your pilot's head is NOT at a suitable LONGITUDINAL position in the cockpit. Check to make sure your "Absolute Longitudinal Camera Shift" is bound to "TRACKIR_Z" and not Zoom View. -OR- If that doesn't work, create a new "center" for your pilot's head. Do this by first centering your view by pressing RShift+Num5 (or whatever you have it set as), then using RCtrl+RShift+Num/ or Num* you can move the pilot's head forward or backwards. You can also use the mouse to move the view up/down etc. Once you have it in a good spot where you can see your HUD properly, press RAlt+Num0 to save. Hope this helps.

Maybe the SPO-15 textures could be "cleaned" and look a bit brighter etc, but you can't change anything... this is not trying to be an arcade game. There's no such thing as "balance", balance comes after realism.

Flashing radar on while in EO mode for Russian planes
JazonXD replied to JazonXD's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
This is all fine and I understand, but trouble is, I don't think the IFF system is separately modeled in DCS is it? As in, when you are passively tracking in EO and you press the "Radar ON" keybind, you turn the radar on, no the IFF antenna on... Unless it's actually modeled that way where pressing that keybinding while in EO turns on the IFF antenna (which in case calls into the question, how do you get from EO mode to Radar mode with keybindings Can the EO system not spit out a range by itself? I thought that it would be able to detect range with the IR signature or something. -
The same patch that broke the ATT Hold also did this, IIRC. They fixed the ATT Hold, but I think this oscillation is caused by the yaw SAS channel being disabled even though you have the switched turned on. Seems like they still haven't fixed that yet.
-
Seems like the new update fixed this. If a mod wants to, this can be removed.
-
How long has this been happening for? And if this is the case... I wonder how I keep pulling off those 20+ mile shots on M2Ks if they have all the time in the world to realize a missile has been launched at them...

Press the S key to break your wings. Have fun!

I don't know when this happened or which update caused this because I don't use the MiG-29S much, but I noticed that even the default skin is missing texture and is replaced by that digital green "missing textures" pattern. I never added any custom skins to the plane, so how do I fix this? Thanks.

When the MiG gets a AFM/PFM, i'm sure this will be fixed.

Hi, just wondering the difference between the two and what are they in relation to each other, which one is "supposedly" the better one (more modern, fitting to agendas etc.). Thanks!

Flashing radar on while in EO mode for Russian planes
JazonXD replied to JazonXD's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Okay, say the scenario is: In a Flanker or Fulcrum, you use "Only EO" and sneak up on a target. You decide to use ERs. At this moment, the LA will be flashing because you don't have your radar on since you're in "Only EO" mode. If you hold the weapon release button, it will automatically turn on the radar, give you a solid LA. So this will cause a lock tone at the enemy plane right? (Keep holding weapons release or press it again and it will launch the missile) But what if you hit the radar button manually? That will turn on only "EO + ILL" would it not? So no lock tone and yet you are able to fire your ERs... -
I'm wondering why you wouldn't get a lock tone if a Russian plane is tracking you in EO, then he turns on his radar for example, to IFF you. As far as I know, you only get a spike, unless the missile actually leaves the rail, then you get a launch+lock. Is this accurate? Shouldn't the radar be in track mode as soon as you turn it on since you're tracking someone in EO mode already? Thanks.

[REPORTED]/[MERGED] Roll Oscillation w/ AP Alt Hold - 1.5.6.3690.269
JazonXD replied to Scotch75's topic in Bugs and Problems
Okay, so the SAS channel got broken in the last update I guess? Did anyone experiment with turning it off in the cockpit? Does it make a difference? -
Hi everyone, I have a 3D Extreme Pro, so obviously a bit cheaper stick. There's quite a bit of play in the middle and even with a decent deadzone setting in DCS there could still be some input applied. Is there any way I can open it up and tighten up the center? How can I tell if I need to relubricate the stick? Thanks.

[REPORTED]/[MERGED] Roll Oscillation w/ AP Alt Hold - 1.5.6.3690.269
JazonXD replied to Scotch75's topic in Bugs and Problems
Wobbly Yaw in the Hog? Not sure if this has been reported on already, but I've also noticed (in addition to Att Hold inop.) there is more yawing oscillations, most noticeable when lining up on a target. Did the FM get changed? -
Huh. man. At least I'm not the only one. I thought I was gonna get a bunch of people saying "deal with it boiiii"
-
I think I'm having those problems too, the stutters last for over 4 seconds sometimes and sometimes straight up freezes for 10 seconds. It's killed me on a few occasions, quite frustrating.

Hi everyone, I'm wondering why the switch flipping direction is often flipped between different modules, and sometimes within the same module... For example, every switch I've encountered on the A-10C is LEFT click to flip the switch FORWARD, or ON, or LEFT. Opposite for right click. However, on the Mirage, many of the switches are opposite (RIGHT click to turn ON) and some switches on another panel of the aircraft is the original, LEFT click to turn ON)... This is quite annoying and infuriating sometimes... why is this and is there any way I can change this? Thanks.

SU-27 does not have the Missile Launch Warning System the A-10C has. None of the other fighters except the Mirage has this, so you're going to have to get better at situational awareness and keeping your head out of your pit! Either way, you have the best too for silent death against enemies, so learn to use that well (ETs)
