The cockpit light rheostats no longer stop turning when you reach the maximum or minimum. They flip from the minimum position to the maximum and vice versa.
Heh. I'm "seriously engaged in this simulator", but I don't play multiplayer games and thus I'm not in a squadron. Why should I be a second class customer?
I'm voting no.
IIRC the brake axes are inverted on the A-10C as well, so for consistency's sake they'd have to fix both, or keep both "broken" (I mean, it's not a big deal, you set it up once and forget about it).
Hi BST,
I love how you can change the radio presets for the Sabre in the Mission Editor. It would be great if we could do the same with the Mi-8's R-863 and R-828 presets (from what I understand the ones in the ARK-UD are usually left as they are?). Is such a feature considered?
Try it, I found it easier. Other people also suggested the L-39. The MiG-21 oddly enough is also a nice option - it has more power than you, but can't turn with you. I had more luck with it than with the MiG-15 anyway.
I'm not arguing the current damage model of the MiG-21 (and MiG-15) is correct, but the .50 cals are REALLY weak. Yesterday I had to put over 60 rounds into another Sabre to take him down. Very unlike the GSh-301, which will usually kill with the first short burst.
I used it three times so far. In my first try a Tu-95 took two hits and went on flying. In the second attempt I killed it with my first missile. In the third, both missiles ate flares. I guess you just have to be lucky with those early Sidewinders.
The compass dial doesn't move by itself, but you have a knob for that next to it. It's common in older devices so I guess that's intentional. The needle will move when you tune in to an NDB in compass mode or you can rotate it manually in loop mode. The ADF seems to operate like I'd expect it to with one little quirk. It will work with either external power or... a bit of throttle. I'm guessing some generator needs to be providing power?

There's a startup tutorial and a take off and landing tutorial. Those should get you up and running. The startup procedure is stupidly easy in the F-86 - well, at least the quick and dirty one we have now. Flying is fairly simple. Two things that might give you trouble are the slow reaction time of the engine and maybe taxiing (keep your speed low and you'll be fine).
