Dear Super Grover, I sat down to record a video for you and realized the problem :) Indeed communication with ATC actually works, however there is a bug in Jester AI though. Nellis, like many other ATCs in Nevada use AM modulation (not FM), and if you ask Jester to tune in ATC, he tunes correct frequency but doesn't touch this switch: So if you tune in manually and flip switch to "AM" or ask Jester to tune in, jump on his sit and flip that switch - we can talk to ATC. If you trust Jester to tune in - frequency indicator on the front seat shows correct frequency, but doesn't show modulation (which can be wrong)! So if modulation is wrong, ATC doesn't reply (obviously).

Also screens show-through symbolics of other screens and gauges, like here: And quite critical - our airspeed indicators don't show less than 80 knots... But these, like helmet knobs are known and acknowledged bugs, I also hope to see them resolved soon...

Wow, but indeed it only happens on a Tomcat. I don’t know if it matters that I’m flying in VR.

Not only Nellis, Groom Lake. Behaves the same in my custom mission! You simply can’t contact tower after a cold start. Don’t know if it helps I’m using VR

[EDIT] Not a bug of a radio, Jester doesn't change modulation (FM/AM), just frequency [EDIT] Hi guys, I can't get radio communication with ATC work on Nevada map, when doing cold startup. It doesn't work in my custom missions, and it doesn't work on the default quick start "cold startup in Nevada". When I start a mission in flight - I can tune in a station and communicate by pressing appropriate comm button, no issue here. Then when I do a cold start - ATC doesn’t respond to a radio request. I tried with and without “easy radio”, I tried from the Pilot’s and from RIO seat. It’s just dead. I turned the radio on and I tuned correct frequency. Eventually I even re-installed the module but it didn’t help. Then I tried Caucasus map, and it worked there without problem, during the cold start - turn on radio, tune in and it works. Again, it doesn't work in Nevada, even on default "quick start" mission, when doing cold start.

I re-installed module and still can't use the radio. Basically if I start the mission when aircraft is already started - radios work, I can select correct radio and talk. When I do the cold startup - radio simply doesn't work, nobody replies. Correction - ATC doesn't reply.

Any update on Raygun development? :) I would be glad to have "Master Caution" light to work on other planes than just A-10C

You have to opt into "Beta program" from Oculus Home screen to get latest update with ASW2.0. As far as I can judge it works miracles in DCS, smooth as butter for me, and no HUD artifacting and stuff like that.

Bailey, thanks, this is great! Here is an idea, I customized your profile a bit for myself, additionally to "F1", "F2", "F3" etc I duplicated functionality, but with different phrases "Say 1", "Say 2", "Say 3"... It's easier for me to pronounce it like this, maybe for you too :).

Actually I fly F-14 with a JetSeat now for a few evenings, and it works marvelously, shakes and buffets as one would expect :D Really happy I got it, great complimentary to the VR headset too.

Actually Tomcat has a binding for Master Arm, that also lifts a cover automatically (and closes it as it turned off). I guess similar binding option just has to be applied for every covered switch.

And I can confirm the same issue in RIO pit: minimum displayed speed is 80 knots, when airplane is cold and dark it's 80 as well as when in spin.

Thanks for the expert knowledge VampireNZ! :) So it should read “0” in a cold state, as well as in a spin! Heatblur please fix this!

Dear Heatblur could you please confirm is this intended behavior or a bug. When I do a cold-start, after the mission load while still looking at the menu, airspeed indicator shows "0" as it should be? Then, the moment you click "Start / Unpause" indication jumps to "80 Knots" on a cold jet. (logically it should be "0") here is a photo of real cockpit, and it shows "0" in a cold state, not "80" After taking off and gaining an altitude I intentionally entered a flat spin, indication +- "80 Knots" (again, logically it should be "0") Our DCS F-14 is unable to show speeds below 80 knots, is it a realistic behavior? What should be cold and dark state of an airspeed indicator? :book: Thanks!
