Yup this update went the opposite direction.Since 2.5 where I could only join low pop servers, today can't even join a 1 person server !!! This is beyond ridiculous! I hope this is PRIORITY NUMBER ONE for DCS and all work on other modules are halted until this gets fixed! Why push out F18, F14 or any other module if we won't be able to play it on MP?????????????????????

ahh see i thought the ingame time was broken. because the start time is a few hours prior to TOT. so do you accelerate time? I'll pay more attention to the readme file. thanks for your help!! -

Thanks for the response! There might be a bug with the module or the mission I just started the fighter light (but it did happen in multirole as well), where there radar, HUD and RWR do not power on even though they are turned on. Restarting the mission does in fact turn them on.. but wondering if this will continually happen as I progress -

Couple of questions. Haven't had much time to play, but did download this mission. I noticed the first mission for multirole is always the same (radar and support target in the mountains) . I've been having an issue taking them all out before we get attacked by CAP. Does the campaign progress randomly according to the outcome of previous missions? How do we get the F16 to lase for us? How man missions in total? Thanks -

you get to the choose aircraft screen>? I don't even get there!!! many times trying to enter a multiplayer sessions (each time taking 5-15mins) before I can even get to see a choose aircraft screen! -
Magic 2 uses the AD3633 seeker. Although it does have head on capability, it will be much more easily fooled by flares from this aspect. Besides, all IR missiles can be fooled by flares, when they are deployed at the right time and interval. Edit.. Are you saying 5nm or 5 miles out (which would be over just 4 nm out) ? When using Magic 2, you should almost always fire at rmin to get a better chance of kill. Anything more than that and it will easily chase flares. 5 miles out is way too far to fire M2K (and many other) Fox 2 missiles frontal aspect.

Yup from 0:45 to 2:26 is from theAC-130 spectre video game on the ipad! hahahaha! And the first part of the video does not look to represent any UAV in the Iranian arsenal. if part of the video is fake, then the entire video can be called into question.

Also make sure you follow engine restart procedure properely: Engine shutdown to off fuel starter pump switch to on engine relight switch to on slowly push throttle forward until 50% N1

This is why from now on I am keeping a close eye on all modules as released. I will not purchase another razbam module until the M2K (which I bought a YEAR ago but only really started playing for the past few months) is patched to a released state. I would love to get the Harrier, but there are too many issues with the mirage for me to pump more money into and beta release. -

Actully makes a lot more sense. Wasn't really thinking about it. Thanks But have you noticed a problem with the RDI since last patch where you can't even get a simple track sometimes with a known contact.. your alt stragith ahead , Yesterday I even spotted the AC in front of me, i got lower raising nose to him .. nothing.

Looks like you are right. But noway, no how have I EVER got a track with a lower flying AC at 16nm out while flying even at 20K with a 20 degree antenna!, I have to lower my antenna almost to bottom limit to even get a simple track. Also why does the min/max numbers change when moving TDC. The radar doesn't chase the TDC, so the numbers should be constant at level flight.

Well not really what I was trying to explain, but anyways. We both know it is wrong. 4 lines = 12 degrees up and down 2 lines = 6 1 line = 3 degrees. So when moving antenna up and down what do the hash lines on the left side of the radar screen represent ? 2%? So from 30 000 feet at 2 lines scan sweep, (which is only 6 degrees lower than horizontal plane) and lowering antenna down a has mark or two should NEVER translate to the cone pointing under the earth as the RDI cannot extend that far enough to cause it to be pointing underground with such an extremely small offset at such an altitude. Regardless of the delay, it should never remain in the negative at that alt at that sweep angle at 40 kt range.

Sorry I meant target is at 32500 feet. But why is the cone between 3k and 24k? How is it tracking the target? Also why dows the min/max cone range drop in the negatives when you point antenna slightly lower than level? I understand what "should be happening" but the data output to the HUD is all wrong.

should be is referring to angle off the nose.. in this case the cone is 3 to 25 degrees. As you can see his radar antenna is slightly elevated. Also In the photo his alt is already 32500 feet so it would not make sense that the cone is between 3K and 25K with antenna pointing up slightly. Now I have experimented myself and there is definitely something wrong with the display cone min max. I believe it is supposed to display the cone at TDC range but something is messed up. Eg I am flying at 30K flight level, ant centered and yet my cone is displaying 29/28 max/min. When I do get a lock the target is outside the TDC cone values. ei the target is at 14k but the tdc vales show 21/19 at lock. Also if you lower the antenna, at any altitude you will find your cone to display negative values with only a slight decrease in height. Something is not right with this display. If it is displaying min/max alt of cone then we shopuld only need to raise lower ant a % of a degree either up or down to get the full range, but in game that is not true as sometime I need to lower the antenna almost to the bottom to see targets below me even though the display is something like -34/-60.

nice! Can't wait for it! I still get that glitch where you touch down rear wheels at low speed and front wheels bounce off the runway sending you into a vertical spin.

I am trying to understand how the radar works and why I cannot spot su27 at BVR. Doesn't this radar have a limit of 120nm??? I cannot even attempt to play with this plane outside of single player, as anything better than mig21/F4 doesn't appear on my radar and I am engaged from extreme distances while I am blind my training consisted of videos like and currently using Chuck's guide for reference. I haven't attempted the campaign as I cannot even complete the " Through the inferno" single mission on normal difficulty. My radar setup is Using B Scan set to 2 Radar lines at 30 degree Scan. I've approached from almost NOE altitude, I've approach from higher and I've approached from same alt, and see them on my RWR at my 12 o'clock. I have the antenna raised or lowered as needed, and nothing. I then start a climb or dive towards the contacts until I am seeing their labels and nothing on radar. Also I believe there is still a bug where a contact disappears from radar (regardless of modes), so when firing one of only 2 530s, loosing contact, missile is useless, then you must go defensive which happens in 1/4 to 1/3 encounters. It has made for some extremely frustrating sessions, not to mention the low speed drag issues. How do any of you fly the M2K against Su27s? Are you constantly loosing radar contacts? Are you entering an encounter and your radar screen is completely blank from 60+nm right to overshoot?

+1000 This isn't the BlueFlag server I know. It's unrecognizable. I don't know if there was a physical turnover of people managing the server but regardless, this server is now nothing more than a shooting gallery for the blue side and enforcing preposterous game changes. . Server has been empty for a few hours now, due to the blue on red gangbang thats been going for days ( I work 2 weeks out of town and only get 1 week to play more or less), so I can't confirm how long its been like this. Regardless of what some people say, these changes are (YES they are changes on the server!!!) not going to last. I give it even before round 10 goes live before the changes are reversed. No one who's been around since Round 1 can say this is a good start to round 10. Well sorry maybe a bunch on the blue side might say its great like this. On that note, I will say, I do love the unit count changes. When I was once able to get within 10 km of a FARP 4 days ago, before getting shot of the sky (or maybe I was rammed by enemy or friendly, or maybe it was ground units, maybe air units,or maybe it was some new bug, unfortunately I don't know), I did get to see lots of new ground units all around the FARP. But that was 4 days ago, and haven't been able to get close to any city, farp or comm array since to see what other unit changes were implemented.
