Today I have installed DCS World after quite long break. I am amazed of how many things got fixed since 1.2.6. Well I have started with A-10A to activate and did test run without stick. It all went fine except from landing, it was looking perfect for a rushing one but right tire blew up. Without any reason to me. During replay it did not happened. Track attached. There should be no difference preformance wise, DCS supports AF natively, why make your life harder ?

Good thing my GPU is not writing letters about overheating.

I think this is a good example of what Anisotropic filtering is doing. Yes it can help at great ranges. But be aware, in some games forced AF can cause grainy images Edit. This one is from wikipedia, under CC license.

I have disabled my swap. However DCS + 8.1 can use all 8GB sometimes. On windows there is a tool called RAMDisk (clever huh ?). You can have 4GB assigned in free edition. It is copying data on shutdown to designated place if needed. Also restore at startup. http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk 10 bucks for 12GB and so on. There is also some sort of discount for AMD clients, you can read more if you are interested. Edit. About services, I have disabled everything not needed but there is not much of boost. You can try Game Booster, I was using it when my CPU was Athlon 64 2800+. It was helping then, now not much. Aero - HD 4000 <-- very not recommended, drivers dont like DCS or something.

Rebuild it with composites and titanium instead of nickel steel. Upgrade engines to not fail beyond Mach 2.8. Profit ? Mach 4+ and more G load.

Wags said somewhere that they are not going to make more effects for old engine. EDGE is integrated into DCS.... or they can fly units in terrain editor.

If I read this correctly then there is a problem with files integrity. Run repair as admin from Start -> Eagle Dynamics -> DCS World and then retry.

I'm quite young so my story is short. LO:MAC demo - I didn't liked it, it went to trashbin after few hours. It was too hard for me, but. IL-2 - Nah, I don't like props but I liked physics. FS2004 - It was good but I didn't liked collision model or lack of it. LO:MAC 1.01 take 2 - This time I had more expirience in flying (on keyboard ;)) and I liked to fly A-10A and F-15C. After one week of learning I have decided to buy Logitech Attack 3. It was huge step forward, flying was very fluid. Totally my favourite sim from the past. I remember flying with some people via virtual lan. Short adventure in FSX. It was quite good. I liked to fly Bombardier Learjet XR45. I made my first Free Track kit, it was crap, too low fps camera.

It was specified to be fifth gen, not F-35. Good luck with money.

It always takes ED few years to make full module. By that time we should have more than Nevada and multi-crew support.
