Dora loses fuel pressure when throttling up
iFoxRomeo replied to amazingme's topic in Bugs and Problems
Mkay. So what is wrong with the behaviour? It remains inside pressure limits. Why do you think it's wrong and on what do you base this on? Fox -
Despite being an aerodrome with a 2.93km runway, it has only one slot for fixed wing aircraft. Is this intended? Fox

I probably mixed your "loosing power" with rpm drop during hard turn. So what is your problem exactly? Describe it. Fox
-
Yes, noticed it yesterday! Thx

Well, 1.58/1.65ATA boost increase and GM-1 would be awesome and make the A8 really strong. But I bet a "DCS Module-Giveaway" that we won't see both in the next 5 years, or at all. It doesn't loose power in a turn. Because if you loose speed during the turn, the propeller governor has to reduce the prop-pitch, but is just unable to reduce it fast enough during a hard turn, thus lags behind. When you ease the pull, the governor catches up and the rpm is stabilized again. You can see this effect on every other warbird in DCS. And you can make it more visible if you switch to manual propeller pitch. Manual prop pitch in the A8, K4 and P-47. P-51, Spitfire and the Dora don't have manual prop pitch. Switch to manual, fly a turn where your speed drops and you will see the rpm drop too. During a split s your speed as well as the rpm will increase . And I think AOA change on the prop comes into play aswell, but I don't know how strong the effect is. Fox

Dora loses fuel pressure when throttling up
iFoxRomeo replied to amazingme's topic in Bugs and Problems
Isn't that something that is expected? If throttle is increased, more fuel is needed and the fuelsystem must adept to this new demand. I think it's a nice feature that shows how ED looks at the small things. The Spitfire has no fuel pressure gauge, so you can't see pressure fluctuations. Bf109 doesn't show this, as the pumps(1+2) seem to produce more presssure than the gauge can show. Play with the pumps and throttle and you'll see what I mean. But the other Warbirds show fluctuations, some more(P-47) some less(P-51). Fox -
No problem. I'll help you. All three testsheets have in common: A8 in serial condition ETC 501 Testsheet 1 Fw_190_A8_733705_Rep1 without wing guns 2*MG131 2*MG151(with ammo) fixed wheelcovers Panzerbombenrostattrappe is a mockup of the Panzerblitz rail-system with 6 bombs per wing On some flights camera BSK16 installed Test with 2400rpm/combat power The other testsheets don't have the Panzerblitz as test topic Speed results posted before Testsheet 2 Fw_190_A8_733705_Rep2 without wing guns 2*MG131 2*MG151(with ammo) fixed wheelcovers instead of additional internal fueltank, 125kg ballast additional 75kg ballast from 6000m upwards the cooling flaps had to be opened completely Testsheet Fw_190_174014_Nr1 2*MG131 4*MG151 Fox

Fox

This https://discord.gg/baw7g3t is the discord channel. Report the bug here. SRS is not made by ED. Fox

HP Reverb. Aktuell hab ich es so eingestellt: Werd wohl noch bissl experimentieren. Über Ortschaften ruckelt es meißtens <45fps Fox

Right... Just because there are reports of Pilots, who abused the engine, and came away with it, you assume the stuff you wrote. It doesn't work that way. What is the relation of successfully overstressed aircraft/engines and not successful overstressed to the total numer of this type of aircraft/engine? There are reasons why there might be less reports of abused aircraft/engines which broke because of that. Maybe the pilots didn't want to report that they overstressed the aircraft by exceeding the limits, and instead reported, that it just broke down by its own, because they were afraid of punishment; or they even didn't realize they overstessed it. Or they didn't make it home, because the engine quit so they had to bail or crash and came into captivity, or died. For some time the Bf109s were not allowed to use its WEP because it quickly destoyed the engine. To prevent pilots to get into this power regime, the throttle was mechanically restricted to combat power only. Do you really think the engineers make fun of the pilots by telling them irrelevant limitations in the Flight manuals and then sitting at their desk and laughing and thinking: Hehe those pesky Pilots, they obey limits, that are totally unnecessary and thus have artificially inferior aircraft ...Muahaha...

No, the solution for this problem is just one mouseklick away in the options-VR-tab Fox

That's a wrong assumption.

A track would help here. Did you switch from alternate hydraulics to normal? Fox

[CORRECT AS-IS] Rudder is offset to the right
iFoxRomeo replied to amazingme's topic in Bugs and Problems
Your video shows: No airspeed, ne deflection. And once you're in the air... there is a deflection... strange... And what should I check with your video exactly? 22 minutes and what should I see and at what timestamp? Did you check my video and the DATE I published it? Fox -

Both graphs are calculated estimations, not actual test results. Measurements: here, here, and here. Fox

[CORRECT AS-IS] Rudder is offset to the right
iFoxRomeo replied to amazingme's topic in Bugs and Problems
Dude, it was that way right from the release. And as I wrote: No airspeed, no deflection. Hence on the ground no deflection. Here is a video I made, exactly for this very topic in 2014 for Dora. Fox -

That's the rudder trim tab at work. Zero airspeed, zero deflection. Fox -

560km/h? Not without 1.58ATA. Which source does say that? Fox

No way:blink: no way!!!.... I thought the hell would freeze over before the Sabre would be touched again by ED... but I was wrong. In the current Open Beta I can't reproduce this lighting bug. Can someone confirm that? I also checked the Stable. There this bug doesn't appear also. Btw, I stumbled across a video I recorded, which dates this bug back to 25.06.2017(yes, 2017). I don't know, why I didn't report it back then. And the canopy glas bug is gone too, but that thread is closed. Now ED, smash the other Bugs, like the ailerons or amount of bullets or etc.., please!! I love the Sabre, such a beautiful plane. She and her Sister MiG need more love from ED. Fox
